Absolutely fantastic, I think my new favourite restaurant in Ambleside! Absolutely authentic food, with choice, flavour and great veggie and vegan options too! Situated right in the heart of Ambleside, right behind Ambleside market hall it couldn't be better located to grab a quick bite before a walk in the town, the nearby waterfall or the fells in the surrounding area! Brilliant, naturally friendly staff made us feel comfortable and you can really tell they are so passionate about bringing a little piece of Mexico to Ambleside Great beers, tequila and soft drinks, seats outside to chill in the sun and food that's making our trip even better! 10/10, definitely worth a visit

I can not fault this place at all! 1st time visiting the lakes a.d because my boyfriend has a dairy and gluten intolerance we have to always pre book or look at where we can eat. I saw that this place did gluten free tacos and vegan cheese! I was like perfect! I got the chicken burrito, wow the ingredients was all fresh and the pitta was home made! The taco my partner said was the best hes ever had! The owners was very welcoming, it's a shame we live 3 hours away haha if you are down at the lakes, defo visit this place, you won't be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I couldn't resist trying this place when we saw the sign for Mexican street food..I am so glad we went in!! The food was the best I have had in such a long time! We were made to feel so welcome from start to finish of our visit. The owners Chris and Marisol ( chef and Mexican ❤️😁) made us feel so valued and gave us suggestions and advice on what we could order, being foodies we really enjoyed this..they were spot on with their advice !! The vibe was that of a real authentic family buisness and it was honestly a joy to eat there. The establishment is small but there is enough space for a couple of diners inside and out.we ended up stuffing ourselves as couldn't help but keep ordering more things! We can not wait to return!!!

Loved the whole vibe of Taco del Sol..sat in the window and had vegan tacos with Mexican rice and hot sauce... absolutely delicious food and really fresh. Will definitely revisit when in Ambleside.

It was a small shop. Everything was freshly made. We ordered the beef tacos. It was brilliant. Will be definitively coming back again. Thank you 🙏🏻

Cracking place tucked away in Ambleside. Very good burritos. Super tasty, fresh and a good size. Friendly, chatty owner, who provided a top notch service. Thoroughly recommended place and we will hopefully return to try the tacos. Good selection of beers also. Top marks #airborne

Wow. This is a great little find. We had the Chicken Taco’s and a Chicken Burrito both delicious. Please if you read this just visit you will not be disappointed. I didn’t try the Margarita but heard they were amazing.

The best Mexican food in the area. Super cosy spot serving authentic Mexican food. Tacos to die for! Owner is super lovely and friendly. Will definitely visit again! Can cater for gluten free & vegetarians, very reasonably priced

I came here with my friend last week and I cannot put into words how much I love and recommend this place. I’m a hispanic exchange student studying in the UK for the semester and have been craving authentic mexican food. I happened to stumble upon this place before a hike and I am so glad I went back after. The service and food was to die for and made fresh/authenticity. Both the man working at the front and the woman cooking the delicious meals were so welcoming and lovely to chat with. I ordered the burrito, which tasted like something my grandma would make for me back home! I cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you for making me feel welcomed and reconnecting me with my cultures food so far away from home <3
