This just happened to be the closest restaurant to the place we rented for vacation and WOW - so good! We had the mixed platter, and all the meats were incredible. Brisket was melt in your mouth tender. Didn’t love the slaw or pickles, but they were fine. I’d 100% go again (and again.)

Every true review should cover the good and the bad. First the bad: 1. Black Diamond BBQ is not located directly next to my house 2. I am not able to eat everything on the menu at once. Both of these pain me greatly. Now the good: 1. While not close to my house, they are in a old Vermont General store with great views while eating outside at a picnic tables. Oh you think you are “too fancy” for picnic tables, you can sit inside but really get a grip. 2. Get the chicken wings, seriously order them. Smoked, then fried, They are little slices of heaven that fall off the bone. My personal favorite are the habanero maple. If you have the slightest shred of self respect, you will get them with blue cheese. If you are considering ranch, you might as well be back in college ordering papa John’s. 3. It really doesn’t matter what you order, everything on the menu is fantastic. We’ve had a wonderful salads with buttery bib lettuce, brined & stuffed pork chops, simple but not so simple burgers, the best cornbread, etc , etc. Locally sourced ingredients and extreme care always makes for the best meals and Black Diamond does just that. Do yourself a favor and head over. Get great Vermont beer or nice cocktail and have a wonderful meal.

Awesome barbecue and good beer. They took our orders and the food came out really quickly. This was a nice meal to end a great day of brewery exploring in Vermont.

Black Diamond BBQ is amazing. Great food, great beer and cocktails, great environment, great service. I can't recommend this place enough. I've lived in VT my whole life and this is easily top 5 restaurant if not number one. If you're in area check it out and you won't be disappointed!

Black Diamond never disappoints. They have the best BBQ around. Our usual go-tos are the Nashville Hot Chicken on a biscuit and a BBQ platter of some sort (pictured is their half rib platter). This time we also got some maple habanero baked beans which definitely packed a punch! Love the pickled veggies and the slaw (which is vinegary, not creamy). We also got a slice of key lime pie for dessert that was the perfect ending to an already great meal. Most BBQ places skimp on their dessert options thinking most customers won't leave room - if you go to Black Diamond, you have to force yourself to leave room because it would be a total shame to pass up on their amazing desserts.

So, as a non-pig eating carnivore I want to make sure people know that about half the menu is delicious and non-porcine! Maple habanero wings with blue cheese dip are out of this world. Lightly battered fried shrimp with peanut sauce and hot dip - whoowee! For those who are carping about the dry coleslaw - It is fresh and crunchy and purposefully not dripping with white goo. If you like a moist coleslaw, do what I do: pour on your own lemon, garlic, and olive oil dressing. OK. Reality check: The beef brisket needs more sauce and the brioche is not great. We would have been happy to eat outdoors in the snow (not shoveled) but we got it all as takeout and it was fantastic! My Philly daughter is a BBQ aficionado and she gives thumbs up!

I have always had a great experience here. The staff is kind and the food never disappoints. I look forward to take out regularly and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good bbq spot!

Delicious food in a quaint old building just outside of the main drag. We split the platter to get a taste of the basically everything they had to offer. There are no regrets there. The macaroni and cheese is a must have!

Picked up dinner tonight, beans very under cooked. By the time I got home approx 20 mins, buns very soggy . Maybe keep buns separate in Togo box . Pickles just cucumbers in vinegar. Too much red cabbage in Cole slaw just not fond of pink Cole slaw. Shrimp tasted good.

We used Black Diamond BBQ to cater food and bar at our wedding and they were PHENOMENAL. Jason and the staff were so easy to work with and made the process enjoyable. The food and service was fantastic and so many of our guests complemented on how great the food was. We even took our family to the restaurant a few days after the wedding because we couldn’t get enough! Highly recommend for your catering needs!

Ate here 2 yeas ago and was underwhelmed. Tried again recently and it was reinforced that it’s just not impressive at all. Based on the other reviews, I’d say most people don’t actually know what good BBQ should taste like or we’ve been very unlucky with off nights for the kitchen both of the two times we’ve eaten there. The salad did not have 2 of the main listed menu ingredients. The amount of brisket on the bun was the smallest amount of meat by far we’ve ever received at any BBQ. Quite insubstantial. It was served with approximately 2 tablespoons of bland coleslaw and no extra sauce, which it needed more of as the meat smoke and flavor was very plain. The homemade chips that came with the burger would have been nice but no extra sauces or dips were offered or given. The burger was decent, but that was the only item and the bun was dry. They forgot the cornbread also. The server was sweet and gave me a complimentary to-go order of cornbread. For the price and quality of food, this place disappoints for the second time. There will be no 3rd try.

It had amazing food and was a great place if you are staying near Stowe or smugglers notch. It had a lot of great barbecue, but it may not be the best place for kids or people who don't like barbecue. Parking is also limited.

Black Diamond BBQ is the best caterer around! They'll take care of everything for you and your event will be a smash. They also have a restaurant which is worth the quick drive from Stowe.

I almost never review places but for here I HAD to. I moved to Morrisville 3 months ago and hadn't been to this place until tonight but I swear I will be there at least once a week now. The brisket is amazing and the slaw is crisp and vinigery and perfect with the meat. The pickles are to die for. I also got the Mac and cheese and I swear it's the best I've ever had. I think it's the first thing they serve you when you walk into heaven. 10/10 amazing food.

The smells alone are inviting! Hello from Colchester where the food trucks are nearby in Winooski Saturday mornings, and Friday nights at Arts Riot. Don't forget the local farmers markets! * * How delicious are the local Vermont favorite stop n' go sandwich stops?

Underwhelmed. Food was not bad persay, but given the reviews and the website, it did not live up. Smoke flavor very light, two cabbage slaw was underdressed or needed a good mix before serving, and pricey for the servings.

Sat outside on a great night. Arron, our server, was fantastic. Food was really good. We had the meat sampler (with ribs added in). Plenty of food for 2 with the ribs. Good for one without the ribs. Overall, food was tasty. Mac and cheese was yummy. The old fashioned was made well. No one at our table was disappointed. Definitely give it a go if you are in the area.

Catered our wedding. Cannot speak highly enough of both the food and the staff; outstanding cooking and presentation for an 80+ person buffet, and timely and efficient planning so everything went together without a hitch. Any event, any time I get a chance (especially the mac and cheese, wow) to have their food, I will seize it. You should too.

This is a great little place for BBQ. Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. There has always been great Vermont beer on tap. The ribs, brisket, chicken and sides have all been nicely done. The ribs had great texture and flavor, pulled nicely from the phone and still had plenty of bite (i.e. not mushy or steamy or fall off the bone). I suggest getting sauce on the side - the ribs don't need the sauce. The brisket is flavorful, appropriately moist and fatty (not too fatty). Salads, mac and cheese, smoked turkey have also been great. The last time I was there, with my wife and some friends, we were treated to a moose charging across the street and back into the forest nearby. The owners told us a bear had been by the previous week. They are open for dinner only, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They also sell at the Stowe Farmers Market - but I was not wowed by what I had at the Farmers Market.

Great wholesome food, large beer selection and some good cocktails too in a nice relaxed atmosphere with friendly service. What do you want more? I had the brisket and really enjoyed it.

Loved all the food except the coleslaw was dry. I don't think there was any dressing in it. Drinks were great
