πŸ‘πŸ‘ Tower Taproom was great. The smoked brisket was great. An employee told me it's smoked for 4 hours. The self-serve on-tap beer is a great idea. Seems a bit pricey but let's ypu try a bit of everything! People often mention good, beer, beers, pour, card, drink, great, pretty, experience, Tower,

The food offerings were really good but on the saltier side. The atmosphere was refreshing as they had a variety of sours, wines and beers on tap along with cute decor. You receive a card when you open a tab, get a cup, place the card on the card reader then dispense your own drink and it calculates the oz to $. I’d say the average is around $10 per 32oz. The exact pricing can be found on their website. They have QR codes that can be scanned for the drink menu. The surrounding area is cute to walk around and to hang out. The service was ok. You order your own food and close out the tab later on on the same card. You do have to return the drink cards so don’t lose them.

Overall pretty good. But I personally think everything is extremely overpriced. It is nice being able to pour only a partial glass and taste a lot of beers, but that comes at a high price.

I got the Ole Hank with sharable fries with bacon, chicken and cheese. Both had a very good flavor and I couldn't finish all of it.

Awesome spot to grab some quality bites to eat and tons of adult beverages on tap (hince the name). Taps are charged by amount of the given drink and kept on your "tab" card, turn in your tab card and cash out when you're ready to head out.

I think these self-serve taprooms are really neat! This one doesn't have too big of a variety though. They said that there is a basement too, but it wasn't open when I was there. Cool atmosphere here though!

This is a fun place to go with family or friends mostly for the chance to sample a wide range of beers. The location is great and the food is acceptable.

I love the atmosphere here - very hip and friendly. It is fun to choose and pour beers that you choose - you may wander around the beer tap areas for a while. Foods are tasty and go well with drinks.

The atmosphere is great and beer awesome however if you have allergies to beef or pork or a religious reason you don’t eat or touch pork you can’t eat here. The same frier is used to fry the bacon in and all other fried food items. The same grill is used for everything so cross contamination is a big factor even if you get a salad or beyond burger. The beer and wine setup is definitely awesome and a great place to drink.

Has a really good vibe. Food is way over priced and taste horrible. The cauliflower Buffalo appetizer was burned and over sauced. The portobello burger was just a sliver of a mushroom. The burger was burnt. Just over all dissatisfied with the whole food experience. I wouldn't recommend the food to anyone. The staff was awesome!

The Daisy Duke sandwich is probably the best fried chicken sandwich I have ever eaten -- hot honey fried chicken, Dukes mayo, Berns pickles. Be prepared. It's juicy - at least 3 napkins!

Have you always wondered what it feels like to be a bartender? Have you looked in awe when the bartender expertly pours the guiness in your glass and wondered to do it yourself? Well, look no further as Tower Taproom is your answer. You can buy a beer card and can try pouring yourself their wide assortment of beers. They have everything from amazing stouts and brown ales all the way down to your generic budweiser, which you can serve yourself. They have a 32oz limit on the card, which can be renewed again by talking to the staff. The staff were incredibly good and patient in explaining the concept in how it all works. The amazing behavior of the staff is in itself worth 5 stars. If you are in Montgomery, do try it out. It's definitely one of the attractions in downtown.

We went to try beer only at this place on a Friday night. Beer: If you want to try tap beer with a variety of local beer options. This is a good place to look into. You will get a tap card and can choose from all the options on your own. Each card is limited to 32oz and needs a refill after that. You will only be charded based on the oz of beer you drink. Service: The service is also digitized and pretty smooth. The place also has large floor space with good ambiance.

Food, check! Ambiance, check! Drinks, check! Music, check! It would have been 5 if they allowed us to change the channel to a different game… mind you, no one was watching. But it’s cool. I’d hang out here.

First time trying Tower Taproom after my husband insisted on going to try out the 50+ taps available. We were excited to visit! Pros: - Great concept! Love the option of being able to taste so many beers, ciders, and wine. -Food- We ordered the hot lemon pepper chicken wings and loaded fries. Wings were fried perfect and tasted good. Didn't really get the spicy flavor, but they were flavorful! I would like to offer some constructive feedback: Customer experience- We came in around 5:30p on a Monday. There were about 3 people standing near the register that pretty much just watched us walk up and didn't greet us. We were given our pour cards and sent on our way without further instructions. This is a self-pour taproom! While that may seem self-explanatory, ideally the employees would have 1) GREETED US 2) Engage with customers! Ask if this was our first time visiting the taproom 3) Explained the process and given an overview of the beer selection 4) Explained that we will return our pour cards when we check out. (This is not our 1st self pour experience, so we almost left with our pour cards until the employee asked for them) Dirty glasses- Beer glasses should be clean and free of water spots. Water spots affect the beer pour. Cost- I totally understand that self-pour experience is a big consideration, but the cost seems a little high. If the beer comes out foamy, that's wasted money on a bad pour. I am very happy to come to Montgomery and see places like Tower Taproom popping up. Hope this feedback is helpful to the improving the experience because this place has so much potential.

Great little taproom! Ton of delicious beers and they are sold by the ounce so you can taste test before you buy a whole glass. Wings were on point!

  • 4/5 Steven Q. 1 year ago on Google
The pay per ounce is awesome because you don't have to deal with something you don't like. This system allows you to get whatever type and however much you like. The system actually does pause you at a certain limit so you don't over drink....hopefully. There ar 57+ taps to include some wine as well. The food is pretty decent and the cashiers are friendly. This was my first experience at a place like this and I recommend.

Service was great. The food was pretty good. Burgers were a little plain, and small. But just fine. Beer selection was pretty good. Could use a little more variety. I'll definitely go back.

A group of us really enjoyed our meals. The place has a fun vibe to it and is a good to catch a game. We all ordered different items, and each of us had positive things to say. The only reason service got a 4 out of 5 is because the food did take a little longer than expected. We would definitely go back.

Fried pickles were so salty. The wings were burned. Lemon pepper seasoning on wings was overpowering. The fries were limp, just bits & pieces. Very underwhelming experience.

Delicious burgers and good drinks. The John Wayne burger was better than The Hangover but both were good. We went for trivia night and had a blast!

This is a fun bar, tons of beer selection with the self-serve cards. Stopped in for a drink on Tuesday night and this place was fairly packed, mostly college aged kids. I would recommend it if you're in the area.

Very interesting concept of pouring your own but it took a bit to figure it out. Excellent selection but twice taps ran out with less than a half glass. You don't pour it out because you paid for it. So you return to your table, drink it, and get right back up to get another choice. Still cool. Food wise, only tried the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. It was bad and ugly mostly.

Great beers and food. The way you can pour your own makes service quick and easy. It can get busy but they have some good sized tables if you have a group.

  • 5/5 Thadius M. 1 year ago on Google
The appetizers are quick and good. Liked the sandwich a lot. Be warned the beers are fairly pricey per oz if you're doing 12 oz or pint pours. Definitely a sipping place.

I love the selection of beer. The food was tasty. Got to taste some beers I've never had before. Great experience.

The wings were really good. I tried to go back for a second time the next day that's how good they were. The only complaint I have is their website states the restaurant opens at 4 on Saturday, the door was open when we went at about 4:30 but we were told that they don't open until 5, and then when we went back there was a sign that the restaurant didn't open until 5:30.

A fun place with good craft beer selection. I like the ability to "pour your own" and sample the variety. Friendly staff.

Came in to grab a bite and watch some college football. Manager refused to change the channel. He said β€œwe’re not a sports bar. Meanwhile, four TV’s were on sports. I asked for a refund and left. I won’t be coming back.

Food is good. Pricey, but good. Only sugary sodas for non-alcoholic beverages. My friends liked their beers.
