For a chain bbq restaurant Shane's Rib Shack is great! I can rarely choose what I want so my go to is the sampler plate. (Pulled pork or chicken, ribs, grilled or fried tenders, toast and two sides). I love all of the protein options. The Mac and cheese is great. Also don't miss the peach cobbler If you have room. Pair all of that with friendly service and it's a win. My fav bbq spot in town.

My husband picked up our ribs & chicken combo on 2/1/22. The ribs were so dry & hard that I could barely chew them. The chicken thigh was ok, but it had no seasoning on it. The chicken breast had a feather bone in it & the breast was dry as well. Why would you give a customer dry ribs and chicken if they are paying their money to get food that is cooked right. It’s sad. I won’t be going back. Jim n Nicks is way better.

This was my 1st time here. The place was not too crowded but they do alot of call in orders and work with alot of food delivery services so the wait was about 20 mins on our takeout order. The food was good and it was a great atmosphere inside. The cashiers were nice and helpful since this was my 1st time in. The only desert I saw was peach cobbler and I didn't try any but there were lots of orders going out . I will be trying mlre menu items and more than likely calling my food in before I go. They did have seating up front for those waiting on orders or either you can sit out in the restaurant.

My second visit for a quick grab after work. Nice people and tasty boneless wings!

Visited this location right before the pandemic. The service is still great. As well as the food.! Great service. This is a busy location and ordering online before heading to the restaurant will save you time. The dining staff is attentive during the lunch hour and walks around checking on everyone in the dining area. The location in Hoover closed a couple of years ago but we were glad to experience the same consistent quality this restaurant chain pours into their service and food.

Our first time eating here. This place changed our whole perspective on restaurants in Montgomery. Bad experiences until trying this place. Great friendly southern service and the food is delicious!!! We’ll be regulars for sure here! Thanks for giving us hope that nice customer care and good food is out here!

I'm not a big fan of barbeque but I really love Shane's. They have the best ribs in town, by far. We order to go a lot, and we dine in occasionally. If you aren't a big fan of barbeque, they have a really good cheeseburger. Their onion rings are also very good. We like the smothered pork sandwich. The service is really good and everyone is nice.

I ordered the smoked wings. VERY dry, overcooked and the smallest wings I ever saw. The flavor was good but was very disappointed overall. One of the flats was smaller then my pinky finger...Seems like they would have compensated some of the smaller pieces with an extra wing. I will never order wings from them again.

Ribs were fall off the bone. No gristle Chicken was delicious. Sides are very good. The sampler over all was amazing. Good job!

Barbecue places are a dime a dozen but if you want a great variety of items to choose from and what I consider the best barbecue in Montgomery, you won’t be disappointed with Shane’s. I’ve had the pulled pork plate and sandwich, pulled chicken and sandwich, smoked half chicken and the baby back ribs. They are all fantastic. This occasion I went with the half rack baby back ribs. They are always consistently cooked to fall off the bone perfection and are delicious (As you can see in my partially eaten plate in my photo). I chose fried okra and potato salad for my sides. Okra was hot and nicely battered but not overly so. Potato salad was good but you’ll never come close to fresh homemade potato salad made at home but this one is better than most. Food came out quick and was hot. Staff was friendly and prices are in line with most other barbecue places. We paid about $35 for a rib plate, sandwich and two drinks. Portions were normal sized but their sandwiches are usually super large and packed with meat.

The food and service here is amazing! The service has always been great anytime I've been here. Also, the food is sooooo good. They have several different kinds of burgers, along with bbq of course, salads, hot dogs. They also have many sides to pick from, the mac n cheese is my favorite. They also have peach cobbler that is amazing and tastes like the homenade kind and they have their own type of peach sweet tea as well.

We were just passing through and ordered on Uber eats, this was some of the best BBQ we've had!! Hubby got the shack sampler and I got the 2 meat with ribs and smoked wings! The meat was great and so were the sides! Very enjoyable meal!!!

5 different visits and all 5 have been the best BBQ experience ever in Alabama. The meat is always just how I like it, all meat not fatty and mushy. Burgers have been prepared to perfection. And the BBQ salad and BBQ fries are the best of both world's.

I really like the flavor of the meats without sauce and the portions are good. I usually can break it into 2 meals. Downside is I am not a fan of their BBQ sauce. It is ok but meh. Again the flavor of the meat w/o sauce is superb!! Overall, love eating here.

The chicken was cooked well but way too salty. The fries were really dry and didn't seem to be seasoned at all. Also the girl at the front was extremely rude to the woman in front of us for absolutely no reason. Was my first time trying shane's and was thoroughly disappointed. I did enjoy the design of the restaurant but that's all I can really say

It nice place with very friendly people, food was over priced, no flavor on the pork sauce helped but portion size for price fried okra was greatly wrong

I have dined in as well as placed orders over the phone for pick up and every time I have nothing but a wonderful pleasant experience. I can't remember his name, but the times I have been there he was working answering the phone and helping everyone who walked in whether they were there to dine in and eat or picking an order up to go, but he is definitely the best and you will leave with a smile on your face!! Every restaurant needs one of him working there!! I would definitely recommend Shane's to anyone. Food has always been great, staff was always pleasant and made sure you were taking care of, restaurant has always been clean.

Service was wonderful. Ordered an all American burger fully loaded & got a super thick cut onion, two small tomato slices and two pickles. Burger was cooked all the way and I asked for medium well. I did like how crunchy the onion rings were.

if i could give 10 stars i would!! i came in about a week ago but i forgot to give a review. the cashier who took my order i forgot her name she had glasses, braces, and these long locs!! the manager needs to give that girl a raise. She had amazing customer service and the most beautiful dimples😍😍and i just loved her attitude, my personal favorite there is the smoked wings!! and the banana pudding i’m so glad they got it back.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered the rib lunch basket. The ribs were not warm at all. The waiter was apologetic and brought out freshly grilled ribs within a few minutes. Great customer service. I was a little disappointed in the food, though, since the ribs were a bit dry. The BBQ sauce is delicious, though!

The ribs were not good. They tasted old. I don't know how else to explain it. The pulled pork, french fries and baked beans were good. The staff was nice.

The staff are nice and the atmosphere is pretty chill but the food is pretty average. I waited almost half an hour for a bbq burger and fries that wasn't seasoned very well. The burger didn't come with any sauce on it even though that's what they advertise. Thankfully there was a bottle of BBQ on the table with a few drops left in it so I at least got to taste it on a few bites of my burger. Don't get me wrong, for what I paid for the portions were very reasonable. I just didn't walk away feeling completely satisfied with the taste. I'm open to trying them again in the future if they can cut down on the wait time.
