Great place to visit. There is a entrance fees of $5 for older that 10 and $3 for less that 10 year old. You can take your RV and boat. This place have have RV park. You just park your RV and relax the day by fishing or you can take you kayak for boat in a lake and do fishing. You can catch a big fish in here. Not so crowded peach and relaxed placed . This is the Town of Spectre set from Tim Burton's movie Big Fish. Now all the houses in here is occupied by the Goats. There are lots of goats in here . All are so friendly goats. You also find lots of small baby goats. You can carry them and take a picture also. Or just sit near the lake and enjoy the view . Or you can go for a walk . If you take your child they will really enjoy this place for more information please check the photo which I have uploaded. Enjoy.

Beautiful place to visit and kayak. The goats were hilarious and very friendly. The island offers camping, boat launch, movie set to tour from Big Fish and best of all plenty of places to just stop and sit to enjoy the beauty of nature. There is also restroom facilities with a shower that were clean. We truly enjoyed our day kayaking around the island. We saw numerous huge fish jumping in the water, next time I'm bringing my fishing tackle. It is $5 per person entrance fee. Can't wait to visit again, this is truly a hidden gem that is well worth it.

This place is absolutely incredible. It's absolutely gorgeous on its own but also holds the magic of the movie set of Big Fish. The owners, family and volunteers were all super friendly and accommodating. We loved meeting the goats and getting to soak up the nature while here. What a beautiful, magical place full of kind, incredible humans and animals!

There is so much to love about this place. The beauty is idyllic. The camping is amazing. You can hear a little traffic and an occasional train but mostly you hear birds and nature. There's fishing and boating. A shower and flush toilets. Goats. And a movie set. I cannot believe my luck to have stumbled upon this miracle. If I'm ever in these parts again, I will certainly return! ✨

Absolutely beautiful place to camp. Well maintained property home to hundreds of goats. The old movie set of Big Fish (town of Spectre) is a quirky and photogenic attraction. Would highly recommend!

Gorgeous little island. Owner is very nice and accommodating. Hollywood took most of the set down when they left for safety reasons (only meant as temporary structures) but what remains is fascinating . The goats are friendly and obviously well fed and cared for.

There is no better place to enjoy scenic views of a lake and undulating landscape. The icing on the cake, the goats! And yes, baby goats too! Our dog loved every second, just as we did!

Beautiful and serene island that houses the ghost town of Spectre plus a whole lot of goats. We visited in the beginning of June, and not that many people were on the island although the weather was perfect for it. Some came to spend a few hours there, some the whole day. For a small fee, it is possible to camp on the island overnight, which I absolutely recommend doing. We went in our campervan and unfortunately, due to a tight schedule, could only spend 1 night on the island. It was magnificent - immersed in nature - and we would have loved to spend more time there. There are clean toilets and a shower available, picnic spots and benches, as well as access to the lake for fishing or swimming. The sites for camping have a fire pit, and I believe there is one spot with hook-up. The goats are friendly and cute, typically minding their own business, but if you offer them an apple or some grasses, they will happily accept and the bolder ones will then seek you out again and again for more snacks.

We visited for the afternoon to check out Spectre and Jackson Lake Island was a pretty magical place. Spectre is such a cool location and exploring the old set was exciting! We aren’t campers, but if that’s your thing, this would be a beautiful spot to stay with your RV or tent! Lovely lake, pretty views, quiet and peaceful, fishing and the GOATS! So charming. To get on the island there’s a gate with a code to add to the safety and security of the place. It costs $5 a person to visit.

I've been to campgrounds from coast to coast and this tops the list! The movie set and the goats make this place magical, but the people are the icing on the cake 😍 Truly the NICEST & friendliest folks, they went out of their way from the moment I arrived. You will fall in love with Jackson Island β€οΈπŸ’―

Great picnic, camping and self-guided tour destination...just beautiful and the goats are a little aggressive if they know you have food, but otherwise tame😁

Take your family. Also take bread to feed the goats. Beautiful view and great place for picnic. You can pet and feed the goats. They love gummy worms, animal crackers. Bread and strawberry twizzlers .

So much fun. This is the leftover set from Big Fish (great movie). Great place to walk, look around, swing in the breeze. Place has a solid 50 goat population that will let you pet them. Bathrooms available, plenty of covered picnic areas. $5 per adult--- $3 per for kids

πŸ‘ Swayback is a great trail system for mountain biking. Hiking is welcome too but there isn't a whole lot to see in this particular trail system. It has trails ranging from a mile to 11 miles or so. Great for a close trail system to Montgomery

πŸ‘ Would be 5 stars but when I was fishing from the bank there were a couple of wobbly rocks and I didn't like the way a rude looking bird kept eyeballing me.
