Update: one of our favorite places for breakfast or lunch. Not expansive, but a nice selection of items. Food is ordered from the counter and bought out to you. Food is prepared well and quickly. We had a ham and cheese omelette with the greatest cheese grits of all times. My wife had a huge bacon, egg cheese croissant. Service was friendly and efficient. 2022 update: We have had lunch here many times and all visits have been great. During the pandemic bee picked up lunch , but today we went in. I had my favorite Cuban and my wife had chicken salad with greens. We also picked up some holiday coffee beans that caught our eye. Hours are 7am to 4pm, so this is a breakfast, lunch and afternoon meal spot. Located in a strip plaza, parking is always just a short walk away. 2019. Great lunch spot as well as a coffee/pastry shop. Lunch sandwiches and soups are great. I recommend the Cuban. Service is exceptional and value is very good. 2019 Update: They also serve a nice breakfast but don’t be late for the cut off time. I missed it by s few minutes and I ended up with s lunch sandwich. Still a favorite spot of ours.

Very pleasant experience at this cafe! Friendly staff, food is definitely above average, coffe is good. The tomatoe basil soup was the best I've ever had. Prices are reasonable and the portions are good, not small and not large, just right.

This place is serving high end good at a cheap price. Very nice family run cafe with the best grits ever (and I've had Bobby Flay's)! I had the Florentine omelet and other than my preference for salsa, the base omelet was perfect.

We are always looking for different place to stop and get unprocessed of the chain (not a chain rest)food. This little cafe did not disappoint. Our breakfast was fast and very good eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked. And the omelet was light and fluffy. Wait staff was very helpful and attentive even though it was a little busy. We drove off the beat in path for a good breakfast and we were not disappointed. Even the other customers were friendly

Twaz quite bussing. I got the fish tacos and they ended up exceeding my expectations with the quality of flavor, the tomato soup was also very good, creamy, hint of sweetness, and the croutons leave you shook with the flavor of real bacon. The staff is very “real” and kind. The coffee selections are intriguing and different which I find to be a plus, I got the vanilla maple spice (iced) and it was a bit strong in flavor, but still very good. This is a great small place to enjoy a quick portion of your day.

Placing your order takes a little bit more time than expected but this restaurant is always busy and they are very quick at making your food after you place your order. The food is reasonably price for the quantity you get. It also has great flavor. They also have an extensive coffee selection!

We dropped in for a quick lunch bite. Service was friendly and efficient. I decent menu selection. I decided to try the pastrami sandwich. It was delicious. Also tried the fudge brownie - yum yum. I'll be back.

This is a small cafe located in a strip mall kind of place. Food: Honestly the food was good. Their selection of pastries and drinks is extensive, dam well delicious. 🤤 Service: A bunch of fun, friendly and bubbly staff that makes you want to smile while you are there. I definitely would go back here.

My favorite lunch spot when I’m working at Lake Oconee! Great wraps and soup! They also have fantastic coffee! Definitely recommend them to all of my real estate clients when they move to the area!

From the great food to the wonderful messages written on my coffee cups by the most delightful people, this is my favorite place in the boro. I whole heartedly recommend trying it out for anyone new to the area or a veteran to the area of 50 years. Exceptional all around!

Love this place so so much. Tomato soup is best I’ve ever had in my life, coffee is so delicious and they have tons of sugar free syrups which I really appreciate. Also love California club. Pastries are amazing as well. Staff is so friendly and accommodating every time. Gets busy at lunch but definitely worth the wait!

Fish tacos (salmon) are excellent and the wheat berry salad was a delicious and unique side! We plan to go back and try more dishes. Seating is limited; be mindful of the time you go.

I've never been a soup and sandwich kind of girl but a friend took me here and I loved their basil cream of tomatoe soup and turkey sandwich. Will definitely go back Only problem is they need a bigger place , so good and so many want to go then they have no where to sit because they're busy and have great food

This is the breakfast joint you want to eat at. The staff obviously is a family and they have a system that works! I carved out some extra time because I figured they would be slammed on a Saturday morning (they were). But my food was fast, service was friendly, and breakfast was affordable! I’ve never put mayo on a bacon egg and cheese Sammy but I will from now on:) Thanks for getting my day going in proper form!

They make an awesome hot pastrami & cheese grilled sandwich. Homemade potato chips come with it...yum. Consistent great service, yummy pastrami sandwich & delicious baked goods. You got to go.

This was our first time visiting Cafe 44 and we really liked it. You order from the counter and then they bring your food out to your table instead of typical wait staff taking your order. The food was delicious. We had the California club sandwich and the Denver burger. Both were very tasty and good portions.

You cannot beat the service at this place! Everyone is so nice. The food is always fresh and reasonably priced. Definitely best spot in town!

Great coffee and Sandwich place. Had a normal black coffee that was strong and actually taste as good coffee, and the California club sandwich was just delicious. Nice outdoor seating as well.

I look forward to eating here almost every Friday! It's very, very busy/popular, but the team never fails to call me by name and keep a smile on their face! With their call ahead to order a dinner special some days (check their social media), dinner is checked off your to-do list! Can't recommend Cafe44 enough!

Great breakfast and lunch place. I usually eat lunch and have tried most of their regular menu. They have great salads, sandwiches, gyros, homemade potato chips. They change it up with specials. Love this little place, the staff is friendly and efficient, and you can dine outside in good weather.

I had the heath bar latte and the banana cake for a breakfast snack. Absolutely delicious. Stuck around for lunch.. had the turkey sandwich special: buttered and toasted sourdough, bacon, cheese, greens and a pesto aioli. My hubby had their tomato basil soup and said it was the best he’s ever had. The kids meals are the best! We had very satisfied little customers. We will be back when we return to the area.

When I first had went there for luch back in 2017 after I fist started working in Lake Oconee, I really enjoyed the service, along with food the employees are very nice, Jessica, and Ali are the best people, especially I love Ali, I'm always looking forward to come back.

Lives up to the great reviews. We had an amazing tasting breakfast and excellent coffee from Grassroots Coffee Roasters. Why get breakfast at the Ritz Carlton when you can get better quality, great atmosphere, and friendly service at a fraction of the cost of Ritz. Will be our goto spot when we visit again.
