As a consumer on a plant based diet I was excited to be introduced to this amazing place. It has everything I could ever want for my lifestyle They offer a restaurant with delicious food encompassing plants and turning them into yummy meals. Particularly loved the bulk food section, the fact that you can weigh your own nuts, seeds, flours and yummy chocolate treats into paper bags, saving on plastic. Fresh produce too and the bananas were cheaper than the supermarket! Great selection of vegan cheeses and deli items. And so much more including homewares, soaps, books, teas....great to shop here for a gift for that hard to buy for person. If this store was closer I would be a regular weekly shopper.

Had one of the best coffees I have had for ages! Airy and spacious cafe. A variety of seating - tables, couch, bar stool or outdoor. A nice selection of cakes. I loved the power point with USB charging sockets at window table - great place to come and work or recharge!

We absolutely love this place! Food is impeccable and so convenient having fresh produce and eco friendly products. I think we come here at least 2 X a week Ih and out 7 month old is a masssive fan of the hummus bowel and green juice

I entered through the store and so found it a little confusing to navigate the system. There were menus at the door to supplement the selection of foods in the cabinet and warmer. The choices felt more limited than I'd expected but the was a good drinks menu. I decided to go for the iced long black although it felt overpriced at $7, it was served beautifully though. I also tried the loaded falafel which, at $15 was quite filling and enjoyable. Everything was nice, including the staff. There was a cute around with couches and hanging seats that I forgot to take a closer look at and the toilets seemed very clean and tended to. I had a nice experience overall.

What can I say, I'm vegan and I love delicious food and great coffee! Plus, they have all my favourite foods/supplements & skin products under one roof! The atmosphere is mellow, the staff are efficient & friendly

Excellent venue and ambience. Staff are really friendly and service is great. Good food and reasonable prices. The black pudding is super tasty and very filling! Nice chill out spots too. Highly recommended :)

Beautiful food from the cafe, great customer service, good selection of health food items. Only downside was the cost of brunch as they add a surg charge on Weekends that I wasn't aware of. $71.50 for 2 brunch items and 2 hot drinks. My partner had the waffle and it was delicious, I had the big breakfast with tofu scramble and I added bacon - I'm keto so the hash brown went to my partner and I didn't eat the bread, the highlight was the amazing flavour from the roasted tomatoes.

Illume cafe, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, best coffee in Melbourne! Great vibe, very chill, very zen. The best staff you could ask for, always very welcoming and happy to have a chat. I’m probably the furthest thing from vegan but even I am slowly being converted, the food is that good… Whether Sean is making you the strongest latte you’ll ever have, Jess is squeezing the freshest juice you’ve ever tasted, Tahlia is sharing a funny story from earlier that day or Shania is making you second guess why you haven’t dived into Yoga classes yet, you are sure to have a great time at Illume Cafe! Come for the coffee, stay for the people :)

It’s been a long time since I’ve walked into a cafe and from the get go had exceptional customer service. Whether it be in the store or the cafe the staff are 5 star. Illume cafe has a great variety of food and my son that has food allergies can safely eat here! I’m so happy that there is somewhere close to home that can cater for our needs, and are so warm and friendly to our family when we dine in the cafe. Thanks illume for a well thoughtout and delicious menu. Happy to have found our local!

Great food & coffee. Had the cheesy cauliflower & broccoli pie...delicious! The sweet potato chips were crisp & tasty. Really fantastic. Such an enjoyable meal. Pity we don't live closer as we were only in the area for an appointment, but will certainly go back again!

I've been coming here on a regular basis and have always had a great experience. The food is always delicious. I wanted to specifically mention Shenaya (I hope I spelt that correctly), one of the waitresses who has been extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Her friendly demeanour and bright smile made me feel very welcomed. Thank you so much for making such a special morning for me and my boyfriend (who flew interstate to visit me) when we came in for breakfast. It was also very thoughtful of her to give me a small gift to say goodbye as I am moving interstate soon. I hope she is recognised for her outstanding customer service. Thank you 😊

Hi, I always shop at Emporium for my organic fruits and veggies. I feel that the girls do not know the product and the appropriate pricing which leaves me having to always watch as they always make mistakes. I at first thought maybe they are not trained enough. I mentioned this to management and they replied that they will fix it but time and time again, I go home and find that I lost $10 last time. If I wasn't careful, checked and memorized the products, I would lose more money. I always have to correct the ladies at the checkout because they charge more than what the products actually are priced. I am a very forgiving person and I always let it go without saying anything but enough is enough. I am starting to think that they are doing this on purpose to get extra money from people who are trying to support local shops. It has been nothing but exhausting always having to look and watch as I put products on the table to get scanned for the price. For example, I was asked to try a sample of the ginger tonic. When I asked how much the bottle is, she said around $20. I decided not to purchase it but then I find that the girl already charged me for it without my permission and better yet, she didn't even put the bottle in the box! She apologized and deleted it upon me questioning her. Then, she charged me for the wrong kind of popcorn as there are 3 kinds of popcorn bags. I said this is the $2.95 not $3.95, she correct it after a long time going back and forth until we asked the male staff member who was working in the section to verify the price. I always buy a quarter of red cabbage which she for the half ($5) and not what it was supposed to be ($2.50). I again corrected her and she said that she will correct the mistake but when I went home, she didn't and alas, I was charged $5. I will bring the receipt next time I am there. It is a shame that you treat customers who always spend from $250-$400 and I normally spend that much at your store a week! However, you did not have enough produce that day so that is why I only spent $117 on groceries and other items. Again had I not been paying attention I would get charged extra. The name of the girl who served me was Ayse and the other one don't know her name she has blue eyes and black hair. They are wonderful girls but we can't afford always to lose that much money even $1. Please be careful and have attention to detail. Please make sure you train your staff because people will think that you are stealing from them. Once, twice is a fluke, but not always. I always get stressed when I come to your shop!

My favourite cafe and store!! There is so much to love about this place, from the energy and environment that you walk in to, the friendly customer service and the arrange of products on offer. I love the convenience of buying brands I used to buy online, the organic produce and all the allergen friendly food I could ever want (fellow coeliac) Plus it’s the best place to buy unique gifts that people will appreciate. It’s a must visit for Victorians !

Sadly I was not impressed with the service today. My latte was served quickly but after waiting 35 minutes for a bowl of chips, I enquired as to why I hadn’t received them. The waitress didn’t know and went to find out. She returned saying there was a problem in the kitchen. I was offered a cake from the cabinet free of charge but declined. Another 20 minutes passed before the chips arrived. Other people were also waiting. Surely if there was a problem in the kitchen you stop taking orders until the problem is resolved.and communicate with your customers

Love this place. A vegan superstore with a great variety of groceries, a vegan deli, wine/spirits, cute store with make up, cosmetics and sustainable gifts, plants plus a cafe w yummy vegan food. So lucky to have it close by. I feel relaxed every time I enter 🙏🏼

We came for lunch which was delicious and very reasonably priced, the presentation was also on point, we had the coffee which was perfect too, the barista here clearly knows what they’re doing. After lunch we decided to buy some quality food, plenty of vegan and vegetarian options and health food alternatives, amazing variety. One of the best places to visit with a friend and to start a better living grocery shop, so glad we have this locally!

Disappointed to come back today and the cafe has completely changed. No more fresh "home" cooked take away meals in the cabinet anymore just mass produced sugary psuedo-healthy cakes & slices. The menu items are really overpriced so I ordered a takeaway green smoothie which tasted like nothing? Maybe try adding some banana so it's worth the $11 and has some flavour. So disappointed as this used to be one of my go to cafes but i won't be coming back anytime soon.

Quality quality grocery. Cafe is not good though. Vegan cream uses margarine rather than cashew cream. Ingridients doesn't feel fresh either.

I only wish this place was closer 😔 I spent 40 mins driving here last week. What an incredible place. So impressed with the size & array of products. Cafe is so lovely with massive windows looking out over green fields. Lovely menu full of healthy vegan goodness. Staff very warm and attentive. Suggestion to have info on what the huge amount of sweets in the glass section so instead of staff having to explain every customer what is what. Spent up a treat on loads of amazing foods, many I have t found anywhere else. I’d be happy if another store opened closer to town. Very impressed.

Great idea plant base cafe with a positive pleasant vibe to promote healthy lifestyle. They store varieties of plant base, organic, and eco products in the shop. I like the corner selling body, spirit, mind books and gifts, health and beauty products. Good food emporium reminds me to look after my health more when there is a better option for me to choose.

A shop with everything. Good quality vegan foods wine and other things for the house. Small choice of fruit and veg.mostly organic. Also in here a relaxing cafe, sit in or outside , live hanging plants, great coffee.

Oh my goodness. What an amazing place. Stopped for a quick cuppa and walked out an hour and a half later. So much to browse at, such a huge variety. The bread! The plants! The fridges full of amazing food and drinks. Sit outside on the picnic blankets with your dog. Coffee is divine. Will be back.

Phenomenal range of vegan, alternative diet, and health food products. They sell some naturopathic junk, but so does every health food store. They have a fully vegan cafe too, which is another great reason to stop by.

Amazing place to shop for high-quality products showcasing heaps of Victorian and artisan brands. The store is full of helpful staff. The in-store cafe is a must visit.

The Good Food Emporium is a wonderful establishment. The Cafe fosters a divine atmosphere, one that is relaxing and accomodating. The food is delicious and staff so friendly. This is a place I go to as a home away from home.

Extremely good food and menu. Loved the overall service and taste too. I do feel that weekend afternoon could be overwhelming for the staff to cope with excess visitors/customers. Definitely will return and would recommend. In addition it also has healthy supplement, organic food and variety to purchase. Hope it remains this way forever.

Wish I found this place in lockdown. Lovely plant based cafe, and such a great selection of produce, eco products, homeware, beauty you name it!

I really like this cafe, love the food and the fact there is so many vegan options. However, the service isn’t great, probably due to being very busy and not having enough staff which again, is probably why the time it takes for food and coffees to come out is incredibly slow. I was also quite frustrated that I had to wait 15 minutes in line to use the toilet, there’s three toilets but two are staff only? Surely one would be adequate? The quality of the food and drink is very good though.
