We are fortunate to have this wonderful winery minutes from our home, consequently we are regulars (and members!). We love their wines, the hidden setting which just keeps getting better and better, plus the Cellar Door Manager, Andrew, is a blast. We stumbled upon Helen's Hill by chance when looking for dog friendly wineries and we were not disappointed. The staff seated us although we did not have a booking and were very accomodating for our 1 year old and dog. Service was great and the food was also very enjoyable along with their wine. We were seated in the upstairs dining area overlooking the lawn which was suprisingly cool for a hot day and being outside. The turn off for the cellar door is easy to miss if you aren't paying attention like us and we ended up orignally parking at the Vines venue carpark. Come for the wine stay for the food!

What a fantastic experience! The wine tasting was absolutely the best we’ve ever experienced, Steve imparted so much knowledge and information about the area and its influence on the wine. In more than 30 years we have never hung in to every word as much as we did today. A passion for your trade can only be the crutIal ingredient for such a wonderful experience! Thank you do much for hosting us and making us feel at home.

This was our first ever visit to a winery. We absolutely loved it. We were hosted by Andrew. He is very knowledgeable, entertaining and friendly. He explained each and every wine so well that even amateurs like us could easily understand how to appreciate different wines. The wines are fantastic and at reasonable price.

My friends took me along for the members wine tasting event. The wine selection was superb and the host regaled us with fun anecdotes and fascinating facts. There were cheese platters with all the delicious, fresh accompaniments to nibble on while tasting the assortment of wines. After we sat outside in the fresh country air while we ate a selection of pizzas. And then we filled the car with a few boxes of wine before heading back. Certainly a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

We had a group tasting and lunch yesterday as part of a wine tour and Andrew was such a funny and generous host. The wines are excellent and well priced IMO, and the grazing boards and pizzas were delicious. Thank you very much, we all thoroughly enjoyed it!

The food was enjoyable, and the staff provided excellent service. The setting was picturesque, especially with the perfect weather. While the pizza was tasty, the grazing board felt a bit lacking in crackers. We were seated in the covered area upstairs, overlooking the garden. However, this space could benefit from some enhancements as it appears a bit plain and lacking in style, almost seeming like a hurried choice for a dining area, I'm sorry to say. Also, the bill had a 10% surcharge for a regular Sunday. This might be due to staff shortages. The atmosphere was lively with numerous families and plenty of people having a good time.

Could not recommend Helen’s Hill more! From the moment we walked in on our first visit to the moment we left on our last visit we were met with kindness and open arms. The staff here, especially Andrew, are absolutely incredible. Wine tasting paired with charismatic staff who genuinely want to get to know you. The wine selection has a large variety of high quality wines, with one to suit everyone. The space is fantastic with an upper deck and fire pit on the lawn to enjoy a wine by the fire. Pooches are welcomed into the cellar door and in the restaurant which is a huge bonus. We absolutely love this place and will continue to return. Thank you to everyone at Helen’s Hill for making this place so special to us.

A beautiful, picturesque spot to try some wine or enjoy lunch. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining you can even bring a blanket and have your own picnic. The wines are delicious and definitely worth a tasting. The service was very knowledgeable and friendly. If you're in the Coldstream, Yarra Valley area stop in at Helen's Hill Estate. Dog friendly.

Helen’s Hill Estate was beautiful. We had the lovely Gretta “G” who guided our tasting and ensured our experience to be both informative and cohesive. She paired the wines in an order that allowed the palette to discern the different notes and bodies through the varied processes. The location is stunning and memorable. I would highly recommend stopping at this location if you’re planning your tour through the Yarra Valley.

Membership is amazing as you have free tastings anytime as well as 2 free glasses of wine with every meal you have!

We went to Helen's Hill for a tasting today. Setting is beautiful and our host Sam was 10/10. Great outdoor spaces and one of thr best in the valley for spending an afternoon on a lawn in dappled shade.

Staff were very friendly, and the surrounds lovely. Food was nice but we felt the portions were quite small for the price. We nearly said something about the calamari portion in particular, but let it go. Value for money would make it 5 stars.

Came here on a weekday and not many people. Steve from the cellar brought us a great wine tasting journey explaining each wine in detail as well as shared some grape knowledge; the wine was the best among the few wineries we visited in the vacation.

Embarked on a delightful visit from Sydney, where the exquisite wine tasting and delectable lunch on the deck left an indelible impression. The culinary experience was nothing short of amazing, complemented by the genuinely friendly staff, notably the exceptional service from Jess. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia tour of Victoria, I spent a day out dedicated to the famous wine region. 1st stop of the day, and I am being treated like a rockstar, had an excellent passionate host in Trevor, and we got to share a special moment in cracking the newly released Cab Sav 2020 edition The wines were amazing here, and I walked away with a whole stash.

Absolutely recommended! Trevor, our wine expert, was really kind and knowledgeable. He walked us through the history of the different wines between laughs and giggles.

Helen’s Hill is a must visit in the Yarra valley! We enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting with a very friendly staff member and couldn’t resist buying a few bottles of the stunning wines. The garden is also an absolute delight to sit outside in the warm sun. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Helen's Hill were so lovely and had an amazing atmosphere and great food. Dog friendly too which is a huge bonus! Jackdog loved the attention and sniffs. Andrew was very informative and charming for our overall service and wine tasting. Had a good laugh and chat and walked away with a few bottles. Will definitely be back next time we visit Melbourne (:

Amazing wine. Knowledgeable, non pretentious and a very lovely deck that is dog friendly. Some have a better view but Helen’s hill has better wine

The wine tasting experience with Andrew, along with the wine, cheese platter and pizza after was enjoyable. Beautiful and picturesque grounds. Friendly service. Personally found the wines, although nice, were very pricey. Passed on the members club. Worth a visit especially if you can pick up a coupon deal.

An amazing winery with a great atmosphere, staff were so friendly and welcoming and the wines were the best we tasted throughout the Yarra valley. Highly recommend. Steve is an absolute G.O.A.T brilliant staff member. Will definitely be back

Perfect outdoor area for the parents to have a wine while the kids can safely play on the grass. Beautiful facilities and food, with extremely kind and accomodating staff. Highly reccomend and will definitely be back :)

Andrew was an amazing host to myself and husband who was celebrating a special birthday. Knowledgeable about the wines and estate, and super friendly. Karlie was also outstanding, and captured a lovely photo of us and our little Ruby - schnauzer, enjoying the harvest board and wines. Easily the most fun I’ve had at a wine tasting! Andrew was knowledgeable about what to pair each wine with, and was an absolute blast. Also, the wines were delicious! Would definitely come back and bring more friends, strap yourself in for a great afternoon.

Absolutely loved this winery! Had a great experience, it was the first of many we visited over our weekend and it definitely made a huge impression. The wines are all delicious, and Andrew is super knowledgeable and entertaining, making an already enjoyable experience even better! The venue is lovely, and the prices are very reasonable.
