Food was good, the beans were probably a little over flavoured with garlic. The salad over dressed and basic lettuce onion and 1/6 of a tomato.

Inkerman Hotel is one of the most popular pub in St Kilda East (Established since 1859). Great pub meals with a large range of chef specials all along weekdays, well served at right price and the menu changes regularly. Decent selection of various alcohol. Live music, live sports, dog friendly, pool tables and even an alcohol shop near the pub (Thirsty Camel) open until midnight, 7 days / week. The kitchen is opened until 9pm. The pub until midnight during the week and 1AM from Thursday to Saturday. Also open on public holidays.

First time coming here and absolutely loved it. Relaxing vibes with a lot of locals (you know a place is good when you see that). We came for the Wednesday night trivia and Parma/schnitty special, and the food was delicious with massive portion sizes. Cheap drinks during happy hour, and $10 pints of the month anytime. I’d happily return!

I love the ink with all my heart. Good pub food done well, staff that love their locals. Pool tables, always big sport events on many screens, and a cheeky tab if you fancy. Home away from home for this simple kiwi guy ✅ have a crack, it's good

Awful. Hideous in fact. Staff were rude. Do yourself a favour (particularly if you have kids!) and don’t go there! Update: Dear Inkerman Hotel - the child you’re referring to is not my child. My kids are older and were not running around and were supervised. In fact all the kids at the venue were supervised that day!

Certainly improved since when we lived in the area 10 years ago. The pub is still welcoming of all people which was always its greatest asset. They have a new courtyard out the back with private function area and a darts board. Big TV'S for all your sports needs, TAB, all the drinks one could require. The meals were 100x better than in the past. I really enjoyed my steak and everything was very reasonably priced. Will definitely go again in the near future.

Possibly one of the few pubs in the big smoke with Melbourne on tap, it was already a winner in our eyes. However the customer service was probably the best I've experienced in Melbourne - pub, cafe, restaurant or otherwise. We attended on a Wednesday during the popular happy hour and even though the bar was busy with patrons picking up a $10 pint (a steal), the legends behind the bar immediately acknowledged our (very short) wait with a hello and that someone will serve us shortly. We were slightly disheartened that a new Melbourne keg was currently being connected so it might be a wait again - however there was no delay, one of the staff immediately poured us our drinks and off we went. There is plenty of latitude in the place and 5 o'clock the Inkerman was already buzzing - families were sat in the bistro with plenty of reserve signs up - a good sign. We made our way outside to the smokers, plenty of tables and good ventilation for both of us non-smokers. No need to pop up to the bar - you could order from the kitchen and the bar with the QR codes on the tables, a great initiative. We were already thoroughly impressed with the service so far - friendly, quick and accurate but we heard a lovely Irish voice come over the speaker to remind everyone that Happy Hour was coming to an end and also that the kitchen was going to expect some delays tonight as it was busy in the bar and bistro, and that tonight was not only Parma night but also Trivia Night. Several voiceovers occurred throughout our visit - to warn of delays in the kitchen due to the sheer volume of people ordering. We waited maybe all of 20 minutes during the beginning of peak service, so wait times were basically non-existent. When ordering via the QR code, a wait time also appeared to help manage expectations. We ordered both food and pints - in terms of food it was your standard pub fare. Limited vegan options - I did order a pizza with no cheese, but unfortunately came out with cheese. Nevermind though, easily scraped off because it's cheese, not the plague. The parma was spot on for a pub parma, nothing overly fancy but that's not what we were looking for. It was reliable and did the job. When ordering pints later on during a peak period, the QR codes indicated a 15min wait time. No more than 5 mins passed (if that - wasn't counting but it was definitely quick and a lot quicker than 15mins) and staff popped around with the drinks and apologised for the wait - no need, there was no wait or delay! Regardless, the general public need to accept that wait times are an expectation at peak times of service. People could learn to be a lot more patient. Service for the entire 5 hours we were there was impeccable (and we are seasoned pub hounds). Melbourne on tap is a HUGE plus. Food is edible. The atmosphere was relaxed and social. Great pub all around. A very positive experience and untapped gem of the South of the Yarra. Thank you to everyone at Inkerman Hotel, you are all doing a superb job.

My favourite pub in Melbourne. We’ve had some great events here and the food is always good. It’s getting expensive these days so we’re not going as much but when we do we still have a good time.

The food and atmosphere make the Ink a great local institution but the most important thing of all is the staff. A huge shout out for always making you feel welcome on arrival and a cheerful see you later when leaving. Thank you Richard & David

This is the most down to earth, unpretentious place to chill out, have a beer eat some good pub food, watch some sport or listen to live music. I really enjoy the outdoor area and being able to bring my dogs is fantastic and much appreciated. You also get to meet other friendly patrons through the joy of our furry friends which is nice. The staff are great and do a fantastic job while being super friendly. They welcome you back every time and really do make you feel like part of a family. Thanks and keep up the great work.

This is a chill non pretentious pub with consistently good food. A pretty decent selection of beers on tap, and the menu changes regularly. Not the fanciest place but it’s good vibes and good food.

The Inkerman does a phenomenal Sunday roast! The best I’ve had in Melbourne to date to be honest. Love that there are so many different areas to choose to have lunch/dinner in. We’ve enjoyed all our visits to the Espy… there is a little something for everyone. Food, service and vibe is bang on. Doesn’t hurt that there are beautiful views as well.

Was very disappointed this time. Usually their meals are awesome but there was bunch of garnish on the steak that want needed, was waiting longer than foods actual ETA. But the music was great, an singer doing covers but he had a good voice. Have heard some great live music there. And staff are friendly and familiar type ppl who making the little bad things not that bad. Could use a more than 1 red meat option and few different meals.

As far as pubs go, this is a good one. Recommended! I particularly liked the friendly service staff. Quite attentive and made us feel quite welcome. I had a couple drinks and a meal. Lots of choice of beers on tap. Lots of delicious food to choose from. I had the Mexican Parma. Actually shared it, given it was an early dinner/late lunch. While quite delicious, I reckon I’ll go with the traditional Parma next time. I’ll be coming back again soon. Cheers.

Won the meat platter raffel! Great place for my partner and his fellow tradespeople to go after work to have a drink. Have an awesome smoking section, but a bit too smokey for me to dine in. My partner loves the place! All personal preference.

Eaten here a number of times over the years. Great lively Pub atmosphere. Ordered a Classic Parma from the multi varieties of Parma on the menu. It was excellent finished it off with a couple of beers. Bar staff were great. This is a little gem for the locals. Will be back.

Inkerman hotel has the best vibe with very good foods but i went to grab some cocktails and they didn’t have any straws. The drink had more than half glass of ice with no straw. I don’t know why they have cocktails in the menu and they don’t provide any straws.

I first came here in 2010. It was in a pretty sorry state. Now, however, it's full of good people, cold beer and above all amazing staff. Well played.

This is what a pub shoukd be. Great food reasonably priced, friendly staff food crowd. I appreciate a pub that cares about the community and you can tell thats the case here they dont want you wasting your life away at the slot machines, they dont even have any, what the inkerman hotel wants you to do is have a beer or a few with a mate, eat a parma, play a game of pool yell at the telly go home and give the missus a kiss night complete. To the inkerman hotel i give you a chefs kiss mwahhhh
