I have to say the BEST COLUMBIAN food i have had since my favorite spot in Jackson Heights closed the service is top Notch servers are polite and attentive to your needs, The location decor is open and inviting beautiful setting immaculate and super clean. Its warm and inviting now lets get to the food its like being in columbia authentic flavors from south america. Its like abuela (grandma) is in the kitchen making the food with so much love The bandeja Paisa is phenomenal and HUGE like i took some home gave some to my daughter and had enough for lunch the next day...the fresh baked cheese roll are to die for with a cup of delicious coffee. All baking done on premises and desserts are home made on site by a columbian baker whos craft is awesome. Delicious pastries cakes and breads also hand crafted lemonades and smoothies. No liquor but your allowed to bring your own wine and alcohol to the restaurant.

Nice place to come and eat. I like the overall look and ambiance. Everything looked cleaned and the staff was nice. First time here and my family and I liked it and would like to eventually return. Seems like there's colombian restaurants popping up everywhere lately. There's 2 noches, pollos mario, 3 colombian bakery factories in my area so I got options. What I like about Bonanza is that it's more relaxing. Sometimes the other ones get really busy and gets loud and little hectic. Would like to come back and see how it is on a busy night. Food was on average with other colombian places. I ordered carne molida and while it was good, I've had better. Yuca frita was kinda mushy but not bad. The carne encebollada only came with 1 side which I thought was weird. Usually you get 2 in other places. I did taste it and I really liked it. The portions were big and none of us left hungry. For 3 people with 3 sodas bill was like $70 without tip.

Great Colombian food. We had a paisita (a mini version of the bandeja paisa, a famous platter from the coffee region of Colombia)- fried pork belly, thinly grilled steak, rice, beans, avocados, plantains and a toasted corn cake called an arepa. Also got an empanada, a few pan de bono (cheese / cassava bread, gluten free!) and a guanabana milk smoothie. Everything was prepared fresh and came out to our table fairly quickly Good staff and great prices too for the food.

I love this nice authentic Columbian Cafe on Main Street! The coffee is strong and flavorful, unlike other watery American coffee. I tried some of baked goods, but I don't like sweet stuff, so I only had Pan de ceso. Very good! Good affordable price. They have a day old pastries on the counter at discounted price, and I always buy some.

My husband enjoys their cappuccinos, Colombian coffees are one of the best! Coffee beans are freshly grinned for the best result, which is what they do here. Dining area is clean, welcoming, and spacious. Staffs are so friendly here! Lots of sweets to select from! They make a version of palmier palm tree leaf, pig's ear, palm heart, or elephant ear. Whichever name you you desire, it’s a buttery and flaky version of a French inspired cookie and they make a superb version dipped in chocolate and with rainbow ball sprinkles. Plenty of metered parking and free lot parking at the back . I visit 1-2 times monthly and recommends this business.

A clean, great looking Colombian place with wonderful decor, cozy environment. They have some amazing food although I tried only dessert the first time around. The trres leche cake was amazing, see my picture, to go with decent coffee. As far as their staff goes, I got nothing but smiles from them, could not get a better impression. Nice night spent all in all

My husbad pre-ordered a cake to be made here for my birthday. When he went to pick up on tuesday he asked the guy if the cake was fresh because wanted to make sure it was the right cake. And well he pre-ordered the cake for that reason so it can be fresh and not some old cake that has been on display for days. The guy lied and said it was fresh. When we cut the cake at home i quickly noticed it didnot taste right. It was spoiled and tasted like it had fermented. Very upsetting that this place would sell an old cake to someone that pre ordered days in advance.

I was walking down main Street looking for a place to sit and have breakfast. I cam across this place so I decided so go inside and give it a try. For presentation I give it 5 stars. Looks very nice and clean also the baked goodies that we on display looked so mouth watering and delicious. Here comes the crazy Part. So I came and waited by the hostess station to be seated. There was no hostess there only one waitress. I waited patient for 5 minutes. Now the staff that was behind the counter of the bakery side stared me dead in the face 2 guys and 1 girl. I stared them back they said nothing just looked my way again and looked away. Finally after 12 minutes the waitress came over. I told her,I was waiting here for ten minutes and no one even said. Good morning she'll be right with you at least. It was if I don't even exist. She didn't say anything just looked at me so I left. It's not like they had crowds of people line up or they were full to capacity. This sort of behavior is very uncalled for extremely rude and unpolite. Why would I give this place my service or money. What a shame that after being human and reaching the age of adulthood some people still don't understand basic mannerism and how to be courtesy and polite. That all I have to say about this place. Smh all day.

The food here is a bit dry. I got the chuletas and was not impressed but the coffee is delicious. They have a desert case filled with deserts. Went back, and the empanadas were not good. The meat empanadas were burnt.

Inside decor is very nice. All bakery products are very good. From the pandequeso to any of the cakes. Very fresh. They have one of the best fruit tarts I've ever had. Note that It's only served on Tuesdays. Natural juices are the bomb! Empanadas are very crunchy which is a plus for me. Really enjoyed it here. Will be coming by more often, second time this week so far.

Really cute atmosphere and the food was good but I felt like it was missing something, but the drinks are great and not too sweet!

All their food is frozen and warmed up. I ordered calentado and it came cold and it tasted bad. My father also found a rock in his meat. When we told the waiter the food was cold all they did was warm it up in the microwave. The only good thing is their drinks and bakery other then that I wouldn’t ever recommend dining in and eating a full meal their. Paid $110 just to not like the food, Overpriced frozen food.

The staff is very friendly. I really like the desserts/snacks from the bakery side. My favorite weekend food is the mondongo soup, it's a meal by itself. The fresh juices are so delicious. Still working my way through the menu, but enjoying the variety so far. There's parking in the back which I've yet to use because I've been lucky so far to park in front, but in the back it's free.

Hidden gem in Hackensack, if you are looking for good service, ambiance and food this is a place to go, place is super clean, their services is great, server is friendly and took their time to take care all your needs. Food is excellent, went here for a friends brunch baby shower and we enjoyed our time, definitely coming back to try more item on the menu.

We visited the store couple days ago, no really a good experience. Tiramisu was not a real original Tiramisu recipe. My ojaldra with caramel was old, no fresh.

I wish I could give zero stars. Terrible and overpriced, decided to give this one a try since my favorite Colombian spot was closed. Worst decision ever. You could smell the rancid oil, the empanadas had no seasoning just giant potatoes with bits of chicken. The Morcia had a weird taste probably the same old oil, it was sooooo dry and mainly just rice. Lastly, I wouldn’t even call those arepas … they were a yellow dough stuffed with cheese, if you’re a true Latino you can tell from the pic alone that it was not an arepa. So disappointing!!

The coffee is good. The empanadas are pure potato empanadas. No meat at all.

Hi, I just want to start by saying that the decor and atmosphere are very nice and inviting. However it's not the first time that the display of food taste totally different than what it looks like. The desserts are stale and the empanadas were horrible and over priced. I've eaten Colombian empanadas most of my life and these have to be the worse I've had. However The cook has alot to do with why your restaurant isn't full most of the time. Besides that your staff is very friendly

Not coming back here. I usually do not post things like this but what happened today it’s just infuriating. I’m not gonna comment on food taste and quality, which is not the greatest, but the fact that I ordered a plate and got something completely different just ruined my night. I ordered a Bonanza Bowl which is supposed to come with chicken, rice, avocado and fried plantain. Instead I got a plate of rice, lettuce, corn, tomato, onions, some green plantains and a slice of avocado…. This plate is nothing remotely close to any bowls they have on the menu. Why are these other ingredients I did not order and do not eat in the plate. And most important where is the chicken? I honestly feel that they didn’t have what I order and instead just gave me whatever left over ingredients they had available without notice. This is just un aceptable, spent $12.95 just on a plate that went to waste with the exception of the plantains and avocado that I ate. Definitely do not recommend this place
