Saddle River County Park is a large park that runs along the Saddle River with a long path connecting different areas that include parking. We went to the Dunderhook area and walked along the trail to the waterfall. There are two pathways: one that is paved and one that is a more natural trail. There are a lot of bikers on the paved trail, so people who want to bring a dog may want to stay on the natural trail (we had our dog). The trail was pretty narrow but also not very crowded on a warm Sunday afternoon. I would definitely come back to this area and explore the rest of the park.

Love this park. There's plenty of room when it gets busy. I ride my electric scooters or bike. I can fly my drone with plenty of space for safety. I can go fishing or just take a nice long walk. I've not experienced any obnoxious people or really loud music.

Really beautiful park. Love the lake and fountain in the middle. Also caught the beautiful Cherry Blossom trees in full bloom. Only issue is with the bathrooms. The men's bathroom was out of order and there are porta potties. The women's bathroom was open but horribly filthy. No one flushes there apparently and there was no soap at all. There's also a weird sign on the door from the inside that says "If door locks, follow directions" with an arrow pointed left". I posted a picture. But it's really odd and concerning because 1) why would the door lock you in? And 2) the arrow is pointing nowhere. There are no directions, the arrow is pointing to a stall. So I got worried I was locked in, but thankfully I wasn't. Either way, I'd like to know what's with the sign? That whole situation needs to be rectified. Otherwise I definitely recommend the park.

First time visiting this park, beautiful views, long pathways along the lake, play area for the kids, baseball and basketball areas. Plenty of shaded areas for a hot summer day. Also a hot spot for PokémonGO if you are into that.

It is a nice park, but there are a few things that you should consider when you willing to go, especially a large group or weekend. The lovely pond you can walk around, fishing, or enjoy the view. A kind of small playground. There is a vast field you can play any sport over there. There is only one Gizmo it is big but still not enough. It is so crowded because people #Running #Byking #Waling #Chatching Pokémon. Also, there is a big Parking space problem, don't park on the grass, you can get a ticket. Enjoy.

Great spot to take the kids to play or have a picnic! Also a wonderful place to walk the dog & let the dog off leash in the dog park. They have restrooms available to the public. The pond is almost finished after making it deeper but still has a fence around it. Last time I was there I took a photo of a man sitting in a truck in the far parking spot of the lot. He was there near the park when we arrived & still there when we left. No problems or issues but wanted documentation if something went wrong.

A beautiful place to go for a nice 20 minutes thru 2 hour stroll. Has Porta potties along the way and bathrooms during season. Quiet, Serine, less bikers than other parks,

I recently visited this park and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of activities available. The trail for walking and running was well-maintained and provided a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The park for kids was also a great feature, with plenty of equipment to keep them entertained. Overall, I found this park to be a decent option for families looking to enjoy some outdoor time together. I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a fun and active day out.

Lovely park. Has a duck pond, various kids' play area throughout the stretch of the park, biking and hiking path, quite a few benches, a football field, spots to fish, and ample parking. Lots of geese meant a lot of poop to manoeuver around; only in certain spots. You might also get to see deers on the hiking trail. Lovely park to bring family, and kids of all ages.

Lovely park to ride, walk or skate in. It has a lot of walking room and shady spots to just sit and relax. I used to walk 5 miles a day, but since Covid hit, I stopped. I need to restart my engines. You can actually do 5 miles in that park and never see the same thing twice. Good parking as well.

I really loved my time visiting this park! The park is beautiful, with tons of areas to set up a picnic, find some shade, or go for a walk or bike ride. I did the whole bike path loop, and it was a lot of fun and a great workout! I recommend having a bell on your bike for some of the congested areas on the paths. Overall, not too stenous of a ride, there's only a few hills. The park is worth checking out for all ages. I saw everyone from little kids enjoying the play areas to senior citizens enjoying a nice bench around the paths and pond. Bathrooms are available near the pond and weren't too bad!

Love to go to this park for cycling/biking. There are some places for children and dogs and lots of ducks. The basic route for biking is 6 miles for one way.

Great park with plenty of space and tons to do. We enjoy riding bikes on the paved path and then letting our lil one take a break at the playgrounds. Conveniently located to the highways with parking entry points. Will definitely be enjoying this park plenty this summer!

I just returned after their restoration of the park. They did an amazing job with it. I couldn’t believe how many deer we saw! They practically come out to take pictures. I can’t wait to go back! Great place to take walks, bring families and pets!

Great place to walk around, even when it's full of people there is plenty of room here. Grass space, ample road space. Great for biking, walking, kids, dogs. Relaxing, clean, and spacious. One of my favorite parks.

Happy New Year! Every year on January 1st, regardless of weather, I walk the entire path, which is a distance of a little over 12 miles. It's good to push yourself and it gives you a feeling of accomplishment to start the new year. On other bike paths or rail trails, there are posted signs with bike path rules of etiquette. I wish Bergen County would also post them. I'm sure these rules can be googled. Etiquette goes beyond politeness and consideration. The main purpose is to protect everyone from injury. We are both avid bikers and walkers. You really need to be mindful when groups of walkers encounter groups of cyclists, because you are not alone and everyone has a right to be there.

A county park that stretches from one town to another, clean peace and fields for activities. Great parking spaces also. This was a space in the park, where it formed a circle of trees.

Followed the other reviews as I was looking for a good place to go bike-riding with my 6 & 9 year old. Bike/walking trails are well paved, not too bumpy. Everyone is accommodating to everyone. There are playgrounds and benches to stop all along the routes. Would definitely come back!

This is one of my favorite parks it is so peaceful! The lake and fountain are so beautiful! I love this walking trail lined with plentybof benches in view of the lake. The playground also is in amazing condition. I played there when I was a kid and it still is kept up in amazing condition. I was so happy going to the park.

Poorly maintained. If you want a park where you can go to the bathroom or drink water from a fountain this is not your park. Bathrooms are out of service or total dumps and water fountains have been shut off for years. What a waste of taxpayer money.

Take a minute to enjoy the serenity of the park and its many wonderful views of streams and forests. You would never think the highway is mere hundreds of feet away as your whisked into nature the second you walk under the its canopy of trees.

Saddle River is an absolutely fantastic park. Wonderful place for anyone that enjoys being outdoors. It has great paved biking trails, picnic areas, numerous playgrounds for children. An array of different parking locations that are easily accessible throughout the park. It is a great go to location if you're looking for some alone time or with the fam.

Wonderful for walks or biking. Fully paved. Several miles of paths and plenty of parking all throughout the park. I can't tell why the playgrounds are closed. Upgrades? Hurricane damage? Some people had just broken through the gates to play anyway.

Love this park. We go for a walk with our dog and there are so many different routes that we never get board. The grounds are clean and well cared for, there is a nice big parking lot and lots of benches to sit and relax on along all of the routes.

The park is beautiful, with tons of activities ranging from footing to baseball and to kids activities such as a playground. Enjoy nature and take a break from the city style, go for a stroll, a jog, play baseball, and enjoy a "pickniking" meal outside with the kids. Make a romantic picture at the lake with the fountain and sit at the benches. A great place to spend a beautiful evening.
