Recently,
I
successfully
completed
a
three-month
PT
regimen
with
the
Spear
clinic
location
on
Clark
St.,
Brooklyn
Heights.
My
physical
problem
was
the
acute
pain
in
my
lower
back
muscles,
especially
the
gluteus
maximus,
which
occurred
when
I
walk
too
much
at
one
time,
or
walk
up
&
down
on
hills,
or
walk
on
the
treadmill.
I
choose
Spear
because
of
its
excellent
reputation
in
physical
therapy
practice
as
well
as
the
“word
of
mouth”
recommendations
from
friends
and
from
my
own
wife
who
had
used
the
very
same
Spear
location
after
fracturing
several
pelvic
bones
from
a
fall.
My
therapist,
Jacinthe
Duvinage,
PT,
DPT,
was
outstanding.
With
patience
and
great
clinical
skill,
she
showed
me
the
best
exercises
and
routines
for
strengthening
my
lower
back,
providing
insightful
feedback
and
correction.
In
addition,
Jacinthe
gave
helpful
instruction
on
how
to
improve
my
balance.
I
walk
with
a
cane,
and
have
balance
issues,
the
result
of
an
impaired
leg
from
a
cervical
spinal
cord
injury,
(and
the
additional
complication
of
severe
spinal
stenosis).
I
have
worked
with
several
physical
therapists,
and
Jacinthe
is
the
very
best.
Based
on
my
observations
during
resting
interludes,
the
other
therapists
were
giving
their
patients
(all
age
groups)
the
same
level
of
caring
and
careful
attention
for
which
Spear
is
known.
Several
days
after
my
last
Spear
session,
I
saw
my
neurologist
for
my
quarterly
visit;
he
gave
me
the
usual
balance
tests
and
noted
that
my
balance
was
the
best
since
he
has
been
seeing
me
as
his
patient.
My
lower
back
muscles
don’t
hurt
anymore
when
I
do
a
strenuous
walk
or
exercise
on
my
gym’s
treadmill,
which
gives
me
the
motivation
to
continue
the
exercise
regime
which
Jacinthe
developed
for
me.
Without
hesitation,
I
recommend
Spear
as
the
gold
standard
in
physical
therapy
practice.
