Wow, this is hands down one of the most amazing exhibits I have been to. We've been stationed in Germany the past 5 years and this museum had items that not even the German museums can rival. Admission is free, but please, put that money in the donation box instead. The story of these fearless men featured at the museum, is nothing short of amazing and heart wrenching. Even if you're just stopping in Oklahoma for the day, you cannot miss this opportunity. They also hold the largest collection of Hitler's privately owned items. From going to so many museums in Europe, especially WWII sites, I can absolutely say this is true.

Incredible. Will be going back. Kids loved every second. It was free inside and outside. The lady inside was very informative and nice. All in all. Will definitely be going back there again.

Very informative and intriguing museum. More than one can imagine in military history not just with the 45th. A stop well worth the time.

Even if you are not a military buff, this museum is worth visiting. The Veteran who greeted us was very knowledgeable and gave us a historical summary of the 45th Infantry Division. The collections are impressive and they are wonderfully displayed. Outside, the tanks, planes, etc. they have on display are fascinating. (and great for photo ops!) Admission is free, but please make a donation.

Cracks open your heart and brain. Fascinating and well laid out and explained. We walked around reading almost everything, from the Hitler stuff and Dachau (hold your heart) to the dioramas a soldier made commemorating events, plus 3 highly artistic statues I loved, although their setting by a vent and a fire extinguisher was amusing yet fitting. Very friendly staff there who answered a couple questions we had. It's free but we emptied our wallets for the donation box because we're so grateful for such places that remind and teach us.

Great free museum to check out! They have indoor and outdoor stuff. Outdoor is great for kiddos but inside I'd definitely hold your child's hand depending on the age.

What a nice peaceful place to take your kids and or family on a nice hot summer day. Tons of history and knowledge to soak in, and it's totally free. Although I always take a 10 dollar bill to donate for the museum and people who work hard to keep it up for us. Take time to visit you will not be disappointed. Have fun!

All I can say about this museum is WOW. Looks small on the outside, but don't let that fool you. This is a gem of a museum and should most definitely be included in your travel plans when visiting OKC. There is an extensive collection of firearms dating back to the revolutionary war to the present ... really impressive what they've been able to document and showcase here. Also, I was absolutely blown away that there is an entire collection of Hitler's personal belongings here. I mean, wow, I've never seen anything like that, even in larger WWII museums. The man who greeted us at the museum had some really great tidbits of information about pretty much every exhibit so it was great overhearing his commentary throughout the visit. My husband and I spent about 2.5 hours here just looking through all the pictures and reading the history of this amazing infantry division. Well worth the short drive outside of the city center. Hard to believe this museum is free, yet houses some of the most interesting wartime history I've see for a while. Highly recommend!

This was way beyond what I thought it was going to be like. This place was pretty good size inside the building with lots of rooms to walk into that have plenty of items and details of the wars we had to battle. Lots and lots of artifacts. Not very many touch feel stations or kid interaction stations. Also have to say that one of the rooms also shows death of the camps. So very graphic for some people. But it is what it is. And it happened. There was also a little gift shops. That had a few cool items for the kids to get and remember the trip. Outside is displays of the vehicles and aircrafts that was used in the years. This place was very neat and informative.

This is an excellent museum for those interested in military history. They have a huge collection of artifacts on display ranging from the revolutionary war to the present day, with a focus on the era of the 45 ID, basically WWI through the Korean War. It is more of an "old school" museum, with artifacts packed everywhere with relatively limited interpretation, in contrast to many modern museums that display a limited set of artifacts with more extensive interpretation. Each has its place, and I really enjoy the massive number of things you can see at this museum. Exhibits include an extensive outdoor area of military vehicles and aircraft, and indoor displays of small arms, as well as vehicles and small artillery pieces. More unique exhibits include the collection of cartoonist Bill Mauldin (Willie and Joe), extensive coverage of Oklahomans who received the Medal of Honor, and an exhibit on the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp by the 45th. There is no cost to visit.

The outdoor exhibits are super awesome. Adults and kids will enjoy seeing at close quarters, Battle tanks, helicopters, aircraft and howitzers. The indoor section also has an extensive collection of weapons used from history wars and other artefacts. A must visit is your in the area and are interested in US army history or generally in the armed forces.

I didn't expect much out of this museum. Arrived early to OKC and realized I had time for some time for museums and this one popped up. Figured it'd be quick. 2.5 hours. Great displays and set up with a helpful and friendly staff. The Bill Mauldin collection alone is worth going for.

This museum is amazing! The best I’ve been to in Oklahoma. Such a great tribute to those who have served! There’s so many guns and pieces of history from multiple wars. Tanks, helicopters, planes and war trucks are outside, REAL ones. A sad room with graphic but true and need to be seen photos of the horrors of the Holocaust. Mannequins displaying uniforms, a launch seat from a plane, foreign guns and even pieces from Hitlor’s apartment when he killed himself. A tank and old ambulance from back when set up and on display so you can see the inside. This is a place for the knowledgeable in warfare and history and those completely ignorant. Easy to enjoy. Admission is free and if you live in Oklahoma and have not been… why? Staff was super helpful and friendly when I bought souvenirs. I’m really blown away by this war museum and will be taking family with me in the future.

I have a passion for war history and the collection at this museum is incredible and so exciting. I’ve never seen so vast of an exhibit of military vehicles. It was really neat to see exhibits from an amphibious vehicle to a med truck; most museums usually have tanks and planes. I also absolutely loved how they organized and displayed the exhibits inside. So many pictures and memorabilia from various wars. This museum is definitely a war documentary lovers dream and it’s free! With that said, if you can donate I extremely recommend it. It can be completed in an hour, but if you like reading every single sign I suggest perhaps 2-3 hours. Most museums charge $20 a person, a small token of appreciation can enable this place to continue educating others for years to come.

Amazing museum! Set aside a couple of hours to really take it all in. Great historical memorabilia with lots of information about it. The Dachau room left me feeling emotional. A hidden gem in OKC.

Really enjoyed all the WWII displays here! They said it was the largest in Onlahoma. Lots of full-size jeeps, trucks and planes outside and in. It was a nice surprise. Also a Holocaust room that was sobering! It's free and you can make a donation. It's run by ex military guys with lots of knowledge about wartime.

This is a must-see in Oklahoma! What an honor to be able to visit this museum. The collection was historically vast and just amazing. Thank you for your service, if we are ever in Oklahoma again. We'll be back! I want to post all my pictures but y'all have to come see it for yourself!

This museum is totally worth stopping by. I have a son who loves military history and this small museum didn’t disappoint. Outside there are military planes, tanks, etc. Inside is full of fantastic displays including the largest selection of Hitler artifacts. We were very lucky and met the retired curator who gave us an in depth look at parts of the museum. Also, admission is free!

I took my dad yesterday and a lovely gentlemen showed us around to everything and told us about it. I took loads of pictures of everything. Dad loved every minute of it. I really appreciate the time that gentleman took to tell us about everything. I think it really made the experience for my dad.
