The high tea was great. Finge sandwiches were good. The desserts were over the top. Super fresh and delicious. Plan to go again soon

We had a baby shower there and it was wonderful for 25 people. The service and food including the cake was exceptional. We loved working with the event coordinator, Kristi.

I went here with a group of friends for lunch. None of us had been there before. It was really cute! There is seating both upstairs and downstairs. We were seated upstairs as there was a party going on downstairs, but we never would have known. It was quiet and private. The tea cups and saucers and tea pots were very beautiful and each was unique. The decor was very pretty and perfectly suited for a tea room. They have a nice hot tea selection. I had the raspberry truffle and it was very good. I also had the sassafras club panini and it was delicious-perfectly toasted bread and delicious meat and cheese inside. The raspberry vinegrette on the side salad was also tasty. The blueberry scone was ok. Not the best I've had, but not the worst, either. I ordered blackberry cobbler for dessert but it turns out they only had peach. They brought that up and said they hoped it was ok. I don't really like peach cobbler and wished they would have asked before it was already plated because I didn't want to be rude and ask for something else. But all in all it was a great experience and I would definitely go back. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Great Experience! Really loved the multiple Tea options. The Atmosphere is wonderful. It is pricey, so be prepared. Because of the price and location, it might be only a once of year kind of thing. Enjoy!

We hosted a bridal shower here. What a great experience!! Kristi was wonderful to work with in terms of planning. Cheryl was so helpful and kind, and Susan took great care of us! Everyone raved about the food and the experience. The quiche, chicken salad, croissants, scones, and dessert variety plates were wonderful and served promptly. Everyone was delighted! Thank you!

This place was better than expected!!!! We surprised the kids with this. Truthfully it was fun for all of us. We went with the Dutchess. Really only way to go if you're doing Tea time. We called because we were ahead of schedule traveling from out of town. They were very accommodating and got us in ahead of time. Service was great. Love the decor. Met the owner. She was great! We will be seeing her again. O ya. The tea was amazing. We had the raspberry truffle and the chai. The deserts were amazing the cake was my favorite along with the strawberries. Which were the kids favorite.

Visited today with a group, enjoyed the Monte Cristo sandwich. The flavored iced tea caught me a bit off-guard since it was unexpected, but others at our table loved it. Cute, small venue in a refurbished old house.

Place is cute, but service isn’t great. Only one waitress on lunch time. Arrive there at 12:30 and my food didn’t came until 1:20. Food was okay. Not great. Sandwich was flavorless, and the salad is just lettuce with vinaigrette. I don’t feel like coming back. The lunch menu is very limited too.

This was a super cute tea room with excellent decorations, and a very quaint menu of tea, lunch, desserts, and snacks! We barely made it there in time before they closed but the server was friendly nonetheless. I would love to get a teapot next time and maybe try more of the decaf tea flavors and any of the more unique or sugar-free desserts, if they had any. I enjoyed the lavender and lace decaf!

Cute and adorable little place. Was attending a baby shower fory niece. Had some very cute items for purchase. We had a very specific menu for lunch. The chicken salad croissant was delicious, and the salad with it is small. But not having to clean a house to throw a party, PRICELESS.

My family hosted a bridal shower tea party for me at Sassafras! It was absolutely adorable! The shop is so cute and has such a big personality. The food was incredible - finger sandwiches and desserts - not to mention the tea itself! So many different wonderful options! The service was phenomenal throughout the event. It is obvious that they truly care about their customers. Overall - highly recommend Sassafras for all of your tea party needs!

Recent Tea Party and everything was really nice. There was another event and we were concerned about parking but it all worked out. Lots of compliments about the Tea Room. Will definitely go back..Cons: Parking

The place opened 35 minutes late. I ordered a salad. It was rotten. I sent it back and they brought a rotten lettuce for the second time. Unacceptable. They brought tea in a small cup (with the bag inside instead of a pot). This is a tea house for heaven sake! We had to request they put the bag inside of the tea pot. Scone was horrible. Terrible experience. Please don’t say it is a tea house. It is not. Terrible! Don’t waste your time and money.

The food is lacking and service. Our waitress took forever getting our drinks and hardly came back to check on us. The scone was tiny, served cold, chewy and no clotted cream or anything to put with it. Asked for honey 2 times and she finally came back with a tiny bit in a tiny bowl. Side salad was just lettuce. The chicken velvet soup is NOT anything like the L.S.Ayres tea room.....so bland. The grilled cheese had ok flavor but was so smashed from a paying press it was about 1/2 inch thick. Very tiny portions. The desserts were very good. The Rustic Root Tea Room is hands down way better.

Came here for a Christmas brunch with one other person. The waitress was very nice, food was delicious, and although we were at a two person table by a walk way, I felt like we had enough room and were able to carry on a conversation. Will definitely be back.

We had my sons 30th birthday here, and it was absolutely wonderful. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing, calm, and pretty. Thanks so much! I am definitely adding this to my favorite places.

The atmosphere and Decor is nice. The portions are small and lacking. The tea cups are small, no pots offered until requested. I understand staffing may be an issue. But no reason to raise prices and cut portions. Mixed salad was greens only, with a teaspoon of dressing. I love tea rooms but sad to say this one wasn’t a treat. Over the years it has declined.

So gorgeous inside! The food was simply scrumptious as were the deserts. The staff was so super kind and wonderful! I can wait to have another gathering there!
