This comedy club is very spacious and small enough to see the show from all seats. They have a very organized seating system that gives you access to ordering food per your seating arrangements. The food is tasty and the ambiance is very pleasant. They bring out your order fast and the service is amazing. Very happy and eager to please their customers. The show was amazing and you don't miss anything due to sound system throughout the facility. Get the VIP tickets so you can meet and great the artist. Definitely returning to this venue for a great experience.

Good service, expensive food for the ordinary quality and taste of the dishes. I had a good time during the show.

Recently saw a comedian perform stand up. There were 2 comedians doing their routine prior to the main event. There is a two item minimum. I had the Chicken Club sandwich with seasoned fries, and a glass of Stella Artois. Service was prompt as was receiving the food and drink. The food/drink tab with tax and tip came to almost $32.

I come here a few times a year. Especially when my friend performs. It’s a great date night spot. Always new and up and coming comics. Surprisingly tasty food and great cocktails and wine. Just a great place to go to have a really good time.

Very nice venue with lots of seats! You can have a meal there while watching the show and counts as items for the obligatory consumption fee. Mommy Tina killed it!! And I got to see her new material! Keep those jeans high and tight hitlers!!!

One of my favorite places. We enjoyed a great show. I always sit in the middle or the back because if you know you know. There’s really no bad seat. They have a good menu with food and drinks. You can order at your table (qr codes) or the waiters will come check on you and they are the best at handling these large events. Food always comes out quickly. The front door staff and front window staff are always very nice and accommodating. Great place for a night out with friends. It can be a little loud so if you’re sensitive to noise sit towards the back and away from the speakers.

A really spacious venue with great service. The food was actually quite good, I liked their dessert menu especially. The seats were really close to others, so if you want some personal space or distance from others, better book the tickets for booths.

Really fun and enjoyable first time experience last night for Margaret Cho's late show. It was cool checking out the Spectrum shops and restaurants, and parking wasn't bad, considering. The Improv staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable, and once seated, our server Kristen went above and beyond to assist me with my unique drink order, ensuring a seamless and gracious experience. Memorable service, memorable venue, memorable show! I will definitely be back.

If you're looking for a night of laughter, the Irvine Improv is the place to be! I recently went to see the hilarious Brad Williams, and boy, did I have an adventure. Let me break it down for you. Seriously, you could sit in the back row and still have a fantastic view of the stage. It's like they have comedy fairies sprinkling magic dust on every seat. However, fair warning, if you're vertically challenged like me, avoid sitting behind a basketball team. You might need binoculars to catch the punchlines! Now, let's talk about the most important thing: the food and drinks. The food was alright, nothing to write home about. However, the beers? Cold and delicious! They were like little golden angels sent from the heavens to make us forget all our troubles. Plus, the servers were speedy and awesome. I swear, they must have ninja training to dash around so quickly without spilling a drop. Ah, the food mishap. My girlfriend ordered the Asian chicken salad and ended up with guacamole instead of avocado. Apparently, the kitchen was suffering from an avocado shortage crisis. But get this: our friend ordered a burger and had a perfectly sliced avocado on top! Talk about a kitchen not thinking straight. Maybe they were trying to channel their inner Picasso with some abstract culinary art. Parking can be a headache in some places, but not at the Irvine Improv. We parked in a nearby parking garage across the street, and valet parking was only $10. It's a small price to pay for a night of laughter and joy. Just remember, if you accidentally park in the wrong spot, don't blame the comedians for your parking ticket. They can't be held responsible for your poor decision-making skills. The sound system was top-notch. Every punchline hit with perfect clarity, making our bellies ache from laughter. And can we take a moment to appreciate the seats? Oh, sweet comfort! They cradled our posteriors with an embrace of pure relaxation. It's like sitting on a cloud made of marshmallow fluff. Just remember, double-check your avocado requirements before ordering! Disclaimer: No avocados were harmed in the making of this review.

Cool atmosphere, lots of space and seating. Our waitress was kind of all over the place we ordered drinks however we couldn’t order food because she disappeared for a while. Other than that. Donnell Rawlings was hilarious. I will recommend the Improv in Irvine to family and friends.

Great place to see comedy. The Irvine Improv is a fantastic venue in the Irvine Spectrum Center. The shows do get sold out. We saw JR De Guzman, who was very funny. It was a great show. We arrived early to have time to eat before the show started. Once seated we ordered through the app using the QR code on the table. We ordered a drink, 3 appetizers (sliders, buffalo cauliflower and fried pickles) and a meatball sandwich. We closed out the tab and gave a good tip on the app before we even got any of our food and drink. We probably should have waited to pay. It took awhile for the food to get to our table. The table next to us (the tables are so close to each other) returned all 4 of their dishes because they were cold and didn’t receive any silverware. When our food finally arrived, they were warm, not hot. The sliders however were COLD!! The server didn’t want to believe me and said he’d go talk with the manager (without grabbing the plate of sliders). After almost 20 minutes, he returned to say that the bun warmer wasn’t working and that they are redoing the order. He gave me and my neighbor a pass for another show. It was a nice gesture but when looking online, it is only valid for a couple shows/comedians at the 2 Improvs near me. In the meantime, I requested water a few times but never got any the whole time I was there. 5 minutes had not even passed since he told us about the bun warmer when another server came rushing to our table with sliders. It looked like the same EXACT plate, except they took the sauces off. It still wasn’t hot but barely warm. For all of our food, we didn’t finish it. I noticed that our table neighbors didn’t finish their food either. I would highly recommend to eat lunch/dinner before coming to the show. There are so many great food options at the Irvine Spectrum Center. Just order drinks, since it’s required that you purchase 2 items. We spent almost $200 from the tickets, tip, food and drink (since we paid on the app when we ordered) Really disappointed!! Park in the parking structure near the movie theater. Give yourself extra time during peak hours.

Good mix of comedians. Good mix of table and booth settings. The required minimum drink food purchases is a bit annoying given the price of admission.

Always the first class experience and a funny evening. Recommend you stop by the box office if possible and buy your tickets in advance for no fee. I've seen some nationally known headliners here. But even when I go for a comic not known to me, I've never been disappointed. There's usually one brief form of act. There's a two drink minimum or you can just order food or both. The food is pretty good and there are even veggie options.

We always have a grand time when we go to the Improv and tonight was no different. Russell Peters was on point. Definitely lived up to the hype fo sho!!! If you have not taken in an event at an Improv or seen Russell Peters live yet and you have a chance to see any show at the Improv far less his, you have to do yourself that favor and go. Oh, and you should really try the sliders & seasoned fries.

Very clean and accommodating venue. Their staff is nice and efficient with prompt service. Food is a pretty good selection, drinks could be stronger, but I also drink like a fish so I'm a hard judge on that. I do recommend reserving a table which seats 4 and comes with a credit for food and bev. If you don't go for that it is a first come first serve basis and recommend you get there early for a good seat!

We went to see Caroline Rhee from the 80s show Sabrina the Teenage Witch, she was hilarious! The service was fantastic, lots of yummy food selections, and my favorite beer: Space Dust. The tables are spaced appropriately compared to other clubs where you are practically sitting on a stranger's lap. Great venue, amazing experience!

The comic Don McMillan was great. Great show. Food however was horrible! Both Hamburgers we ordered were cold when we got them and the buns were hard. Very disappointing. Last time we traveled 2 hours to get there they served Unami burgers now they don't. I will come back but will not order food

I had so much fun here with my friend last year watching the Hodge Twins. I will be coming again. The food was really good too and I recommend going there hungry. They give you lots of good food for a good price. We had a lot of fun and laughed the whole time. Thanks for the good time.

I got to see Felipe Esparza there. What's up fooooo!!!! One of my favorite comedians. The only thing I didn't like there were the negative Nancy's at the front door when I got there late. They said we were too late and Felipe had another 5 minutes left. It turned out to be not true because he performed for like another hour.

My wife and I, watched the Ian Bagg show tonight. I have visited this improv several times and have always enjoyed my time here. But tonight, we watched Ian Bagg at 7 pm and it was our wedding anniversary night. We waited in the line for almost 35 mins and finally got the seats which were facing the stage like the ones with bar stools/ chairs. There was no sign of reserved seats and it was a first come first serve basis and the person that was escorting us said we can take those seats. We had our food and the service was good. After one hour, 2 mins before the show started, we were asked by our server to move from that place while we were having dinner and drinks. We were told that those seats were reserved for someone else. But I asked the people near our seats if they had to reserve the seats and they mentioned it didn't need to be reserved. I told the waiter that is there any way we can stay here and finish our drinks and food? He said no and he had to move us as soon as possible. This was very embarrassing to leave with the food and drinks and they moved us to the far right corner. The waiter came back and gave us two free vip tickets and a small desert as compensation. I am pretty sure those tickets cannot be used for another Ian Bagg show. Our whole experience was spoilt because of this management and we thought it was racist by the manager and for harassing us when it wasn't our fault at all.

A better than usual Comedy Club. The show was great, service was friendly, food was decent and they even opened a little early. All-in-all, highly recommended!

Great location imo. No bad seat in the house. Good service. Always a fun experience. If you get a chance to see one of your favorite comics there, I highly recommend it

The people here are so great- we actually had a bit of a situation with the tickets and they were so helpful. Matt, George, and Stacy were a great help and a complete joy to be around. If you ever need help, ask for these employees. Comedy shows are always good and great with your partner. The food delicious!

I recently visited this comedy club. My table experienced racial profiling. Everyone at the venue was talking during the comedy show. However, two waiters targeted my table which consisted of people of color(Afro-American, Mexicans, etc.) and said we were extremely loud which was not true. Everyone were loud. The second waiter aggressively approached us saying that they asked us several times to be quiet and that they were going to start asking us to leave. He proceeded to go to a non-colored table which were loud and started taking their orders without even addressing the noise level. I then felt very uncomfortable and I left. My assigned waiter was extremely nice and I hate that I couldn’t stay to enjoy myself. I wish I could give them more stars, but the saying “One bad apple spoils the bunch” is true.

We saw Ian Bagg here. The event staff were friendly and prompt with getting us seated and getting our orders. There was a great view of the stage from pretty much anywhere in the room. The venue is about medium sized and likely holds around 300 or so people. Overall, I had a great experience. I would definitely see another show here if the occasion arises.

We bought last minute tickets for last nights New Year’s Eve Tim Dillon show via Stub Hub only to arrive and find out that they were fraudulently refunded by the original seller. Unable to enter the venue, we walked over to the ticket booth only to find out the show was sold out. Not looking forward to the drive home in the pouring rain and less $300 spent on bad tickets, Shayla came to our rescue. Shayla in the Improv ticket office was able work some computer magic allowing us to see the show. Thank you Shayla and the rest of the Irvine Improv crew for a great evening and fantastic entry to 2023

The food and service were great, and my throat hurt from laughing so hard! I'm not used to going to such nice venues. They give you real cutlery, plates, and glasses! Much nicer than the usual rock or metal shows I attend, and the entry fee was cheaper as well. Definitely recommend this place!

This was my first time at this venue, and it was awesome. Every seat in the house was great. We even got to meet the headliner Steve Trevino. We'll definately come back again.

  • 4/5 Matt C. 2 years ago on Google
Four stars just because the drinks and food are expensive, $15 for a blackberry sage drink with barely any alcohol 😮‍💨 There's a two item minimum but it didn't seem enforced Besides that it's a cozy and small venue where most of the seats are good. If you're not VIP/premium admission seats are a first come first serve but they'll organize it. Service and the show was 👍👍
