My husband and I had the chance to drop-in for a class at Paragon. We were on a road trip camping in SLO, and really needed some mat time. First off, what a great community they have built. Everyone was friendly, and we felt welcome. The class itself was great. We received lots of attention, and I also picked up a few tricks. The instructor also took time to give me pointers on how to best use the techniques on a larger opponent. You can tell everyone is passionate about the practice. We look forward to visiting again next time we are in SLO.

I visited Paragon today and Chris showed us amazing guard passes that I can see using in my game. The gym has really nice people (I drilled with Patrick), was kept impeccably clean and coach Chris was very supportive and friendly. I will definitely be back, highly recommend this place for training.

So grateful to be able to travel and train! I have Stopped into this gym in the past for bjj training. I recently stayed in Slo area and was warmly welcomed at this gym yet again. Instructors here are 💯 and training parters are 💯. I was able to learn important fundamental principles this time around that are already significantly helping in my bjj journey. I encourage anyone traveling here to make a pit stop for a class. I will definitely be back soon!

I dropped in for a 6am class while visiting from the East Coast and it was great! Small class size was great for more 1 on 1 instruction and everybody was really helpful. I was torn between this place and The Pit and I'm glad I chose Paragon.

Great gym, super friendly team and environment. No ego maniacs, wonderful place to train with controlled but intense grapplers. Got put in some bad positions and no one tried to hurt me. Definitely a safe training environment for someone new to Jiu Jitsu or a longtime practitioner.

Paragon BJJ is an excellent gym. My entire family trains there. The instructors are very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. They are great with kids and beginners as well as experienced practitioners. We have been members for almost 5 years now and plan on training here for many years. If you are looking to try out Jiu Jitsu, come try a class. You won’t regret it!!

Dropped in while visiting the area, amazing gym! Clear, friendly, and informative technical instructors. Great culture in the gym, everyone was so kind, welcoming, and friendly. The mat space is large and clean. Overall everything I look for in a Jiu Jitsu gym and one of the best visitor experiences I’ve had; would definitely train here if I lived in the area.

I have just started attending classes with finishing my second one today. Everyone seems extremely friendly and happy to accept someone like myself with zero experience. I would highly recommend anyone looking to try it out attend a class here to see the environment.

Paragon BJJ is THE spot (spots?) to roll in SLO. Stopped in on a business trip for their open mat and they have a phenomenal crew and great facility.

Mallory and Chris have built an amazing culture to train BJJ in. The gym matches the area in being as hard core or laid back as the individual wants to be. Having visited many other gyms I feel lucky to live by my favorite place to train.

Super friendly crew and excellent jiu-jitsu! Would highly recommend if you are stopping by SLO area!
