The only temple which has Lord Sun statue, Absolutely stunning! the sun god inside the temple is also absolutely breathtaking, We do get positive vibes by looking at the lord Sun. The whole place is extremely well maintained, no entry ticket here and ample parking space is available. You may not find any other review with Lord Sun statue. You are not allowed to sit in the temple campus but there is a small canteen just near to entrance.

The Surya Mandir or Sun Temple is one of the most spectacular shrines as well as an architectural wonder that adorns the city of Gwalior. As the name suggests, the temple is dedicated to the holy Sun God and was constructed in the year 1988 by the famous industrialist G.D. Birla. The newly constructed Sun Temple dedicated to Sun God takes its inspiration from the famous Sun Temple in Orissa. The temple is located in a serene ambience and a well-maintained garden within the temple premises is very attractive.

A Worthy place to visit..... beautiful carvings all over the temple serves as a good background for the photos. The interiors are so enchanting that you can easily feel the positive vibes all around. This place seems like a miniature version of the Sun 🌞 Temple at Konark.

One of the best architecture ever seen. The newly constructed Sun Temple takes its inspiration from the famous Konark Sun, it took 4 years 4 days to complete its construction when finally on 23rd January 1988, the temple saw its completion. The temple is one of the architectural wonders and has a beautiful sculpture of Lord Surya in the temple premises. The temple building is created in the shape of chariot pulled by seven horses each one depicting seven days of the week. One can also see total 24 wheels representing the 24 hours of a day. There are total 365 idols of Gods around the temple for 365 days in a year.

The temple's architecture is awe-inspiring, with intricate carvings and sculptures that reflect the skill and artistry of the local artisans. The temple has a unique circular design, with the main shrine at the center and a series of smaller shrines arranged in a circular pattern around it.⚡️🙌

Surya temple is a distant city temple, worth to see 🌞 I liked the garden around and simple temple size, with good proportions I didn’t liked screenings of the stuff on you, there are no signs for chapel or shoo place. Also you feel like a bit on “Guantanamo” field Stuff watching you focus fully 😊

Sun Temple is a must visit if you are in Gwalior. There are just few things which are Gwalior's pride and this is one of them. Timings are a bit confusing to be honest. We were being told that Sunday being the day of the the Surya, the temple will open from 7 am in the morning until 6 pm (sun sets) but for the other days, it gets close by 4 pm. Parking is ample and there's no entry ticket to visit the temple. Temple is built in a decade old garden where you'll find old age tree and some beautiful birds. Spend some time, click photos and enjoy the visit. That's all about the Sun Temple. Photography inside the main hall is strictly prohibited. At the main gate, there are few carts selling prasad for the God Surya. It's your wish if you want to buy it or not. Once you enter the premises, no prasad shops inside.
