Nice and cosy place to stay in Gwalior near station. Easy to approach and around 3KM from Scindia Palace and 5-6 KM from Gwalior Fort. Staff is little rigid, but reception staff was very helpful. Bathroom cleanliness needs to be taken care for. Basic amenities also to be looked into carefully.

A basic, minimal frills accommodation place. The property is old, however provides simple and necessary arrangements for a temporary stay. Would hardly matter if you are going to use to only for Sleeping. Public Transport (Auto Rickshaws or Shared Transportation) is easy to find. Has In Room Service for Food (from own restaurant and Bar). Do not provide pickup or drop facilities.

Staff is very friendly nature, location also good. Room service not too good but hopefully they will now improved. As promised by staff..plz maintain good service. Best wishes to all..

The rooms were overpriced and not in the greatest condition, the floor was wobbly and the floor tiles were coming off. The bed wasn't comfortable to be slept in and were dirty. The bathroom and toilets were not fixed with good plumbing, also the toiletries provided were of bad quality. For a price of Rs 4000 the service and room was terrible

Positives- Best part of the hotel is location of hotel at heart of the city. Fort, malls and other prime locations are just nearby. Rooms are spacious. Car parking is available. Negatives- Hotel management is very poor and unmaintained. Cleanliness is a big issue. And service of hotel is pathetic. Also receptionist at night is unwelcoming and fights with people hence creating nuisance. 3 stars of hotel is purely on spacious rooms and LOCATION of hotel.

Hotel rooms was in very bad condition... flooring was deteriorated and creating noise on walking.. toilet fittings very old and dirty... mattress was sinking in.... rooms are not sound proof, so it was very noisy Overall the whole place was in need of complete renovation.... don't go by the outer view.

Worst experience with hotel stay. Not recommend to stay here at any cost. Smelly and uncleaned rooms and corridor. WiFi and TV was not working. They won't display the food menu and rate card prior. Water bottle of worth Rs. 40 they have charged Rs. 71 saying these are the hotel rates. Highly regret opting this hotel for my gwalior stay.

Very rude behave by maneger when we ask for out side drink is allowed they said yes on calls i confirm twice coz i plan my birthday party there but when i reached the place they denied.

Worst hotel.Never book even for one day.The receptionist was very rude.they do not allow any visitor to visit even for some time.Behaviour of staff was very rude.Rooms were very untidy..after so much quarrel we changed it.Receptionist ask money to change the room and for each and everything.Only the restaurant food is good and staff also.Not recommended.

Spacious rooms, good location, partially good service, value for money. However the hotel is probably old, so many things are not working as they should. Geyser was not working, Hot water was brought in buckets, toilet seat was getting detached from the commode, the mattress was too uncomfortable, water kettle was not working. But overall okay for a short stay on a reasonable budget. Hope the management makes some efforts for these small repairs and maintenance of the hotel.

Gwalior number one dirty hotel. Rooms are very smelly bathrooms so dirty. No toiletry in washroom. No hot water. I REQUEST EVERY ONE DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL NEVER. REALLY Hotel Clark Inn nearby very good.

As per the offered price facilitaties are not upto the mark. There was a lot of noise of construction on above floor whole night , we got restless and called the reception and they lied that no its not at our hotel. Basic atticates missing. Rest rooms are good and close to station if you need to catch an early morning train

We organized a wedding here and received extremely poor customer service from the reception. They didn't have enough people to help us with the luggage and after waiting for 10 minutes, the receptionist was extremely rude, not ready to talk to us regarding this issue, telling us that we are not the main guest and he will only talk to them and all their workers are busy attending other work. Event areas were not cleaned well and if something fell on the floor, there was no one to immediately address the cleaning. Rooms in this hotel are in poor condition, tiles are coming off, ceiling leaks, people got stuck in lift several times and room key cards also not working properly for all rooms.

Very poor service I have stayed for three nights but no one clean them rooms as well as toilet after instructions.

While travelling to Gwalior I find it the place to stay near Railway station. It's just few minutes walking from Railway station. Hotel Shelter is a good place to opt for anyone. It's quite clean and services are also are at best. If a girl has to stay alone it's the best option cause it's very safe and the staff members are also kind and helpful. I had a great experience spending my time there. Thank you @hotelshelter

Automatic/RFID keys - Be careful as staff can even come late in night directly in room with their master keys - mostly marriage related bookings and staff can steal your belongings - Owners doesn't care, they just care for their dog as they don't know what to do in life - No use of cctv cameras as even someone bypass your room Or even you report theft, they don't have any organized way for looking the case. - Toilet smells in all over rooms - Avoid using lift, its low maintenance - Carry your chain and lock to lock your stuff in cubboard

Pathetic. They promise you and deliver nothing. TV and air conditioners not working, Fan is noisy and knob missing to control speed, knob for shower in bathroom is also missing. Do not go for the external appearance and lobby of hotel. You must avoid this hotel. Facilities not worth even at 50% tariff.

We booked this hotel for an engagement ceremony and the management made sure that we regret our decision from the very beginning of the event. Poor quality service, they won't even do the bare minimum of refilling the plates, spoons etc. And it is too much to expect them serving the starters and snacks that they themselves agreed for, rude staff, manager doesn't know the word professionalism, once you notice that management is completely ignorant of the situation and you try to bring that to their attention, instead of helping out the situation, manager would love to spend time arguing and talking nonsense including "let's watch cctv and decide how's it going". That was pretty obvious within a few hours that they don't care about their guests but they really don't care about their reputation as well and we realised later that they got none. When our event went through the disaster they created, I got to know from many others that the Sheltor management has been doing the same in the past. We could have done a better research while looking for a hotel to host our event, I am writing this review hoping nobody else has to go through the same on their important day. Only good thing about the hotel is it's location, but that won't matter when the basics turn into a disaster.

Thia hotel doesnt deserve any rating. Worst hotel. Seriously I will not recommend anyone to book this hotel. The receptionist do not have sense to talk to customers. They are looting travellers on making fake terms and conditions. Rooms are very dirty and their room service management aren't replying on time.

Hotel shelter is fardu.. They charge more bill. What we order they add extra by the name of GST. They adding a addesional gst before the billing. Fraud fraud fraud fraud........

Poor quality service, staff was very rude against the kids and ladies, restaurant's manager also has no professionalism, instead of helping, manager keeps arguing and talking nonsense. We were very irritated as the waiters were ignorant . I would suggest not to plan a meal here.
