Good environment, ambience, looks lush green area, nice lobby area. It looks way better than many private hotels and stays in Gwalior. MP Tourism has done good job and maintaining this residency. Highly recommended.

Positives - Good location and close from railway station. - Well kept, clean and staff is generous. - Great food options and taste. Love the live Gazal program during the dinner program. Complimentary breakfast was buffet and was great. Negatives - Doesn't have a elevator, so for elderly it can be difficult.

Attended a marriage anniversary and it was fun. Excellent snacks, food and desserts. Selfie point and Lawn decorations were also good. Overall ambience was excellent!

I stayed 4,nights. Rooms are good in ground floor, I was in 102,last shifed to 214,room was good ,but wash room not good. Flush was not working. Morning breakfast is good mixed of South and North India. Location very near to railway station,city centre and DB mall.

Ample space vicinity. Rooms are also big and properly maintained. But the water quality is very bad. Too much hair falls in just one wash.

First time stayed at a Govt property. Must say, it surpassed all my expectations. I had booked a Super Deluxe Room. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a good washroom and hot water available all the time. We saw the deluxe room as well, it was decent enough, but i would recommend to go for super deluxe. It has better furnishing and polishing. Coming to the food, it was average and quantity was less. That was the only negative aspect of the place for me. Another thing I did not like was the towels and bed covers. There were some marks here and there. Service of the place was fantastic, outstanding. Very quick and courteous staff. The place also has a pool. Not very big but enough to enjoy. We enjoyed a lot in the pool. Also, the hotel is located at a very prime location. All the main attractions are within a range of 4 to 5 kms, railway station is 800 mts away and airport is 10 kms away. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend this.

Stay of two days in Tansen Residency, Gwalior was our memorable stay. Hospitality was excellent. Food was very delicious. Room was very neat and clean. Carving structure of different Gods along with Buddha made lobby very attractive. Reception staff were very helpful and giving personal touch to each guests. This is a nice place for spending vacations.

We do long road trips on work and one of the routes is from gwalior to chhatarpur. It takes around 5 h and MPT makes for a great pit stop between the airport and the road. Great food, hospitable staff and clean restrooms.

MPT Tansen Residency had been a comfortable stay for us during our brief visit at Gwalior. The rooms were cozy with courteous staff and a wonderful hospitality. Enjoyed Ghazals and other renditions thoroughly during our dinner. All in all a superb experience and great value for money.

I like the food area there and the service is not good as much as I experienced. They don't have staff who puts your plate to dustbin. Unlike any other hotel or banquet. They get 3-star. Idk why. They have Agriculture Minister's daughter wedding there.

This is the only MPT property that left us a bit underwhelmed, probably due to the high standards of the resort like MPT properties that we experienced at other cities during our MP trip. Though the hotel is quite nice and again strategically placed in a premium location of the city, it's not really a resort. Due to the footfalls being high here, the maintenance is not of the highest standards. The property hosts private parties and events daily, due to which the people staying in rooms closest to the event location get disturbed. The rooms are quite good like all properties, but maintenance is not up to the mark. The bathrooms could have been cleaned better. Service staff is again very helpful and very courteous. Food prices and quality is again excellent. Breakfast buffet is the largest and most varied among all the MPT properties that we visited in the trip.

The hotel was good, but the rule of 'a new plate means a paid guest" was not announced in advance. Hence we landed up laying much more than what we ate.

The hotel is very good and very spacious and exceeded my expectations for one run by government. The restaurant has live performance of Hindustani songs. That really awesome. A very good experience I must say. Food on the other hand it's average. But very courteous staff and polite. Check out time they take more delay to settle the bills. If you are there in Gwalior looking to stayif it's safe to consider. Great thing is that they have very good water. It's because each room has water heater. Also room also have heater as well. Over all I would give 4/5 for it.

We'd visited for lunch. Food is average. One of the few places in Gwalior that serves an international menu. The air conditioned hall is the only reason I'd come back.

Love this place. This is hotel that is managed by MP tourism. Clean hotel and good services. In evening during dinner a good singing program organised by the hotel. The bad thing is the maintenance of old building.
