I have bad anxiety about new places and people so I was quite nervous to find a new hair place after my previous one closed. The staff and stylists here were so wonderful and welcoming! Professional and kind are the best ways to describe them. I booked my second appointment immediately and I plan on being a return customer far into the future.

The shut down of the equipment made me late for 15mins. The late experience is already made feel awful. I just said May I have a quick cut in 30 mins. The normal cut for me at this place is mostly 30mins from my past experience. My understand the time can be controled by stylist. I still got reject to come in and just have a quick cut. This made my bad day even worse. How could that have to be 45mins. This is not acceptable.

If you’re a person of color, I’d try a different location. An advanced level stylist here had me on books for 3 weeks and the weekend before decided to pawn me off to her black counterpart at another location for a second consult 4 days before my appt. for an expert opinion?.. I had no idea why I was going but if this would make her feel comfortable fine. That was a waste of time, and not my definition of. consult but that’s for a different post. I call this salon back to tell them I will straighten my own hair because they don’t have sensitive scalp relaxers, and just want a dry cut, and at that very moment I found out the stylist had canceled my appt unbeknownst to me. I waited 3 weeks overdue for a chemical treatment for her to waste my time. When the manager told me I was no longer on the schedule, do you think she offered to give me MY appt back and cancel whoever they booked on top of me? NO. People have job interviews and other reasons they need to get their hair done. Not just because! The manager was even aware the week before that I was trying to get in early. Just let that sink in……and all they could say was oh sorry!…Clearly they did not want to do my hair. If you aren’t comfortable cutting a black person’s hair that is relaxed bone straight, that’s weird and sad, but just say so, and you shouldn’t be working at a multicultural salon as an advanced level stylist claiming u can do relaxers when you’re actually afraid to do one. This felt so discriminatory and full of shenanigans. I drove 20 mins to both consults wasting my time. I will NOT be going to either Centerville location again. While I’m sure there are other lovely stylists at each, this was enough for me. Plenty of white women twice this stylists age and way younger than her have given me amazing hair cuts and were not afraid to touch my hair. And I’m sure their black stylists do white women’s hair also, so where’s the standard? Grossly unprofessional and selfish behavior. No way this stylist should be “advanced”. I surely hope that both these stylists were not in this together. Just be a grown woman about it and be considerate of my time and my hair!

Gabby did an amazing job! I was ready but nervous for a huge change and Gabby helped boost my confidence and gave me the perfect hair cut! I haven’t felt this confident in my hair in a long time! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! ❤️

Love this Square One location! I've seen several stylists at this location and I've always been happy with my hair services (cut, color, styling). The front desk team and salon manager are amazing and everyone always makes sure you have a great service!

Square One Oak Creek has amazing employees! They always go above and beyond to make me feel special! Every single stylist I have seen has taken time to ensure I love my hair!

This location is great. It was quiet and very customer service oriented. My wife and I had Jamie as our stylist and she did an excellent job on both of us. If you're looking to get a quality haircut in the Dayton area I would highly recommend square One salon especially this location.

Xiomara always makes me look beautiful! I change my hair often for fashion colors, and she is always good at making the right recommendations for my hair health and what I want. :)

I come here often I would like to request that you ask stylists not to wear fake nails while doing hair hair gets caught & it pulls & hurts, they can always wear them during their time off, thank you
