Best hotel in Porto!!! Staff helped us even before we arrived and someone was waiting for us in the lobby until we got there. They were all calm and very much helpful! We got a complementary glass of wine in the lobby and the atmosphere was wonderful. The design of the renewed old palace is done lovely with keeping both the old and the new items. The doors in the entrance are a beautiful detail kept. The stone walls are great too. The room is perfect!!! Large with a great view! The bathroom is clean and very beautiful. A lot of space in the room. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING HOTEL!!!

I would give this hotel ten stars. It's absolutely beautiful. The location is the deal, on a pedestrian street so no traffic noise. You know when you walk in that you're in a classy hotel. Easy check-in with excellent staff throughout the hotel. The building was a palace previously owned by a wealthy family, now renovated to a top class hotel. Our room was just perfect with a small balcony overlooking the courtyard. There's a gym and spa if you fancy some extra luxury. The bar staff also excellent with top class service and knowledge of various drinks. If you're visiting Porto then this hotel should be top of your list.

A lovely hotel, Willian was lovely at the front desk we arrived on an early flight and got to the hotel early and he was very accommodating and done his best to make sure our room was ready. The room was amazing with a beautiful skyline view of Porto - I would definitely recommend staying in 801 if the room is available. The rooms were serviced everyday and some days twice! The location is perfect as it’s in the middle of the city centre but was not loud and you couldn’t hear anything past 10pm. I would definitely be coming back and recommending the hotel to family and friends. Thank you to all the hotel staff for being so friendly and helpful.

This hotel is wonderful! Located well about a 5 minute walk in one direction to the train station and 5 minutes in the other direction towards the river. There are many great restaurants within a short walking distance. The room was very clean and spacious, and the hotel has many wonderful amenities including a gym and sauna. Breakfast here is delicious and bountiful. Vegan milk available for coffee and espresso drinks. Staff are very helpful in lending a hand with dinner reservations and recommending places to visit.

Exceptional. Brilliant service, a lovely room and a great breakfast, all in an excellent location. The evening turndown service was an unexpected surprise and the little spa is great too. Faultless and for a fabulous price too - we're coming back in February!

Nothing but the best. In every detail. We've been there for 2 nights on top (8th) floor and the experience is fantastic. Location is in the heart of Porto. The main sights are within walking distance. The room is luxurious and fragrant. There is a pleasant aroma of fine soap everywhere in the room. Clean and tidy. The hotel staff is helpful and ready to provide the best possible service. Helped to book the best restaurants, suggested a walking route around the city and booked a rental car at a good price. And, of course, breakfast in the room and a view of the SĂ©. Definitely recommend. Will definitely be remembered as a place I want to return to. Thank you, Porto! and PortoBay Flores. Mikus&Inga

Wonderful hotel in the centre of Porto. Staff were excellent and the facilities were first class. Would highly recommend if you are looking to visit Porto. This was the view from our balcony looking inward towards the middle of the hotel.

There's not much that I can say that hasn't already been said, the word that best describes this hotel is excellence! The staff are extremely friendly, and the location is not only beautiful, but also historic, it's like you're living inside a piece of Portuguese history. The room we stayed in was comfortable, and always extremely clean. And I must say, the shampoo and shower gels they are partnered with made me want to get a bottle for myself, quality stuff.

We had a great time in Porto, thanks to Portobay Flores. This hotel has a very eccentric charm, from being part of an old Palace to its modern rooms and facilities. The staff were very kind and helpful and the location is excellent. Our room was fantastic. It had a sliding door to a balcony or a patio leads to an internal garden.

Amazingly comfortable hotel, in an amazing location with amazing service, all around amazing! From the moment we checked in we were greeted with warmth from the front desk. The rooms are European sized with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The buffet breakfast has a variety of food options including mimosas. It’s situated on a busy walking street in close proximity to the Sao Bento train station, and among numerous restaurants and sites. We booked through the hotel website for discount codes and breakfast included. Would definitely stay there again!

Historic beautiful hotel, centrally located in the pedestrian walkway in Porto. The suite I had was beautiful, just not very functional. Air conditioning only worked in one room and the rest of the suite never cooled off. Coffee and tea, fruit and turndown service. Bulgari bath products. Views are lovely. Lighting in the room was poor. Shower was a slippery step down with oversized shower door you have to wedge around. Faucet fixture was stripped and fell off. Nice bar and great breakfast room and food. Painfully small gym without weights, cardio only. Staff is helpful and attentive.

Great Location, nice old building, beautiful room. Gym is ok (dumbbells are missing). Sometimes it was rather cold in the common area. Breakfast is very good.

This hotel definitely deserves 5 stars and more. We stayed 3 nights December 2020. It is very difficult to maintain the high level of service, cleanness, quality and even the mood, but they have done that. The reception staff are fluent in English, all recommendations were excellent, all questions and demands were quickly and easily were answered. The restaurant staff and kitchen were very professional, very nice presentation, amazing tastes, we loved to seat there. The room is beautiful, clean and shiny, comfortable. Highly recommended!

This place is just perfection! It was so clean, quiet, and nice. The staff is really nice. Mafalda really helped me out with quite a few things and she was just amazing! It also probably had the best shower I've ever used. It's close to the train station and on a street with plenty of shopping and restaurants. The only slightly weird thing is that when I checked out, they asked me if I wanted to be charged in Euros or USD and I picked USD but when I did the conversion later, it was more expensive to be charged in USD.

This is not a true 5-star hotel. Bartenders do not know how to make classic drinks properly. They offered us a credit for breakfast we did not have, only to not honor it in the end. I would say the most helpful staff was Mafalda. Other than that, the rest of the staff we encountered showed no hospitality. This is our first time in Porto, and we would gladly stay elsewhere and pay more for better service and communication.

Stay here for two nights. The hotel have a good location. Not friendly parking. 24h room service. Overall, it’s a good place to stay. Little overrated.

This hotel has great location in the old town area. Can go to many sites on foot. The business center/reading area is superb. Service was very good. However the issue was we experienced bug bites in our room ! Pretty nasty one and you do not expect this to happen at all for a five Star hotel. But it did. Other than that we all likes this hotel. Forgot to mention the staff was so helpful. They prepared breakfast for us to take with because we needed to leave for the airport before regular breakfast was open on December 26.

Great location, beautiful hotel, terrific room. This was a great choice for our week-long stay in Porto. Centrally located, the only complication is getting to cars from here, as the street is mostly a pedestrian walkway. But cars aside, it’s in a great spot - perfect for stepping out and getting your day started touring/walking around. The hotel is beautiful, and the room- really great. There was more than enough cupboard space- which seems to be unusual these days. Perfectly appointed bathroom, it was just what we wanted for our stay in Porto. Extremely friendly and helpful staff throughout, making this your choice of hotel is an easy one. 🌟 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The hotel is in a great location walking distance from all the sites you are likely to want to visit. The staff are all incredibly helpful and friendly. They were even able to accommodate our group of four for dinner on our first evening when they were booked up, which we really appreciated. The food was delicious. The hotel is beautiful and sits well in its surroundings. There are spa facilities which we didn't take advantage of but we did use the pool a few times which was perfectly suitable for cooling down after a day walking round the sights. I imagine it gets busy though when the hotel is more full. The breakfast offering is exceptional. Highly recommended if it suits your budget as it's worth the money.

Very cool boutique hotel on a pedestrian street. Reception staff was friendly and efficient. Our room is comfortable and has a small balcony overlooking a grassy courtyard. Beautiful design incorporating a historic building’s features into a modern remodel. Breakfast room is very nice and there is a good place in the lobby for a nightcap.

Beautiful boutique hotel at the heart the best part in Porto, the old port. The place is newly renovated in a modern style, with a gym, spa, and a dinning room offering superb breakfast. The court yard is beautiful with patio tiles and lawn. The service is exceptional. 👍👍👍

Outstanding staff here, pleasant and professional throughout. Enjoyed the location which is very central and the gorgeous spa. Would have loved a pool on top as that would have been the icing on the cake. Staff here are brilliant though and would come back.

The service was excellent and they are all very helpful. Rooms are very nice and the beds are comfy. Bathroom shower has great water pressure and appreciated all the small extras. Location is great and walkable to many things to see.

A bit late writing this...Absolutely top notch. Staff were friendly, super knowledgeable and accommodating. Rooms were beautiful and well equipped. Location is excellent. Short walk to river one direction and to mass transit the other. Highly recommend. Just know that it resides on a pedestrian street if you are traveling by your own vehicle. Plan ahead for parking.

best location in Porto, due to construction on the road it's hard to get there by car, I wish the hotel would mention this in the reservation. However, Pedro, the nicest guy in Porto, who works at the hotel, helped us get there safely. Service is great, nice rooms.

Absolutely loved this place and for me this is what a hotel should be for a city trip. Excellent breakfast, staff working in the lobby extremely helpful. They even helped me with a great restaurant recommendation that turned out. Room might be a tad too small for some.

We loved our stay in this hotel. Central location - perfect for shopping, food and sightseeing. Very quiet (we had a room in the new section, facing the inside courtyard). Breakfast - tasty, fresh, diverse. Service everywhere - helpful, friendly, efficient, always there for us and willing to make our stay comfortable. SPA - the pool is rather a jacuzzi with very warm water, good deep muscle massage. Bar - very pleasant barman, nice cocktails overall, especially well-balanced Daiquiri.

Super location. Very close to the water and lots of great restaurants and bars. Hotel food was excellent and most of the staff were super friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend this hotel as it is in a perfect location. The only thing that was rather disappointing for a five star hotel was the cleaning department. I left a paper cup on my table and it was left along with other rubbish. Not really upto standard. You expect your room to be immaculate when you return from sightseeing. Overall, the hotel is really good and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Excellent hotel in the old town of Porto. The building itself is beautiful, it is a very chic and elegant place. We were very warm welcomed by the hotel staff, who made our stay unforgettable .We were on honeymoon and received many treats for this occasion, how nice! The room was spacious, modern and very clean. We ate one evening at the hotel bistrot restaurant and the food was amazing. Highly recommended, we will come back!

Amazing location, friendly staff, and clean, comfortable rooms! The location is fantastic. Right in the middle of the central touristy area, which means it’s close to the train station, metro, great restaurants, etc. It’s easy to get around, but there’s a lot of traffic if you’re taking a taxi. It’s a very walkable area. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially the bellmen and front desk - all were amazing throughout our long stay. We had a duplex suite and the view was awesome! A 180 view of the beautiful city! The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room service was not good. We made it clear that we were ordering for two people and they only brought one set of flatware. We asked for specific condiments and none were brought (they had to go back and get them, along with our flatware). No salt and pepper, bread and butter, water was automatically brought with our dinner tray, which is odd. And the food wasn’t great. The francesinha sandwich looked/tasted like it had been sitting around and then just reheated, the potatoes were good, the croquettes were fine. We had a few issues with getting housekeeping requests filled (extra coffee wasn’t provided even when asked, once the toilet paper wasn’t replenished, the terrace wasn’t cleaned each day), but the staff was very friendly and did a great job overall. Each time we had an issue, the staff tried to rectify it immediately, but there are definitely some small kinks that need to be worked out. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely stay here when visiting Porto again.

Luis, and the staff at PortoBay are amazing. Everyone is very attentive and caring. We spent three nights as part of our honeymoon. This was one of our favorite Hotels. Room service was also delicious. PortoBay in Flores is a stylish and beautiful property. We would love to visit again.

Porto Bay Flores is amazing. The hotel is beautiful and spacious. The room was great, very comfortable, clean and nice. The location is perfect. Walking distance to many beautiful sites. The breakfast was delicious and very complete. The spa is great. They have a very cute pool. What we liked the most was the staff. They were extremely nice, helpful and cordial.

My friend and I travelled to Porto recently and stayed at PortoBay Flores. It is a lovely hotel that is in a great location. The whole entire front desk team from the check in agent to the concierge were beyond exceptional. Concierge helped us map out exactly what we needed to do and see in Porto for the short time we were there, made all our dinner reservations for us (which were all amazing recommendations), and they booked us our Duoro Valley tour (another incredible recommendation and very worth the day trip), and all the taxis we required. I highly recommend checking out their breakfast buffet! The food is incredible with endless amount of variety and choices and the service staff is friendly. The only thing was that our room was a bit dark with minimal lighting in the bedroom, but besides that, our stay was amazing and the service from every staff member was exceptional! It is a true 5 star hotel! Thank you for making our stay so lovely!

Exquisite place to stay in Porto, by all means if you have this hotel as an option make yourself a favor and chose it
Service was exceptional from the second we arrived to our departure.. Portobay Flores pays attention to detail like no other.. The food was also incredible and creative. We loved it.

Wonderful trip to Porto. Stayed here for the week, loved the service. English and Portuguese speaking staff! The pool and spa was a good way to end the trip. The building is well placed in a market-like area and many things to do within walking distance to the hotel! I highly recommend this spot for all who visit Porto. And who can argue with the great view

This was a lovely hotel in a nice central part of Lisbon - the rooms themselves are beautiful and have amazing views of the city. Amenities are great also and the rooms are very nicely furnished. The hotel also has a nice gym. The spa is also very nice.

A fantastic hotel in a superb location. Very friendly and professional staff, very nice rooms, a great bar and bistro serving very tasty food (my first experience of the Porto must have Francesinha which I'd highly recommend). A very good buffet breakfast ... the super attentive staff heard us quietly singing "happy birthday" to our friend and brought glasses of fizz and a cake with candle when we had finished which was a very nice touch. The hotel is on a narrow pedestrian street so the taxi journey to/from is an interesting experience. Would definitely use this hotel if staying in Porto again.

  • 5/5 Zoe M. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing hotel! Excellent location on a pedestrian street in a very central location, easily walkable to many different parts of Porto. Extremely clean with nice amenities - gym (small, but nice equipment), quiet outdoor courtyard, spa area with sauna, steam room and pool. Amazing breakfast!! The staff was also very helpful and booked us on a day trip to the Duoro Valley (Live Duoro tour) which was incredible.

Fabulous hotel. Even remembered we loved custard tarts with our last drink of the night! Bar staff particularly outstanding although everyone was so attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel. Castelo looked after us ! Rooms and breakfast great. Would come here again. Thank you for making our weekend away so lovely 😊

Spent a three night city break here. Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely return here.

Service upon check-in was awful. No one greeted us upon check-in and didn’t describe any of the services offered. I needed to ask to be assisted with my bags (after walking 10 mins to get to the hotel from the car park). A welcome drink voucher was provided, but the bar didn’t initially want to honor it. The room itself was fine, if a bit dark. Overall, such a disappointment for an important trip. When I asked about cancelling I was asked to wait in the lounge and no one got back to me. Finally, I tried to cancel through the third party who I booked with. The hotel didn’t reply to them. Therefore, I needed to pay one night to cancel. I wonder if the reviews are real

We stayed here on our first visit to Porto for 4 nights. Booked directly on their site and were upgraded to a palace room on arrival which was beautiful and offered a stunning view of Porto's cathedral. Beautiful hotel part old palace building with a new additional new build section. Unbelievably good location on one of Porto's best streets Rue Do Flores. Nice if small spa/fitness area. Ate at the Bistro here one night lovely food and great service. Breakfast everyday was beautiful decent choice all fresh and a great start to the day. The standout of this hotel however is the staff. In 20 years of travelling and staying in decent hotels we struggled to remember when we had come across such friendly, pleasant and efficient people. A real credit to the hotel and the PortoBay chain. Don't hesitate booking what is likely to become one of Porto's top hotels.
