Lovely tough course. In good condition, see photos. Lunch and dinner menus were very good. We found it expensive and renting a rake for the bunkers was a bit of a joke. Glad we played it, ticked off the list.

My daughter and I were lucky enough to be invited to play at Bearwood Lakes and what a wonderful and welcoming course it is. The practice facilities are great and whilst very wet due to the recent storms, the course played very well. It is a good but fair test of golf with many visually stunning holes. The Head pro and everyone in the Clubhouse were extremely friendly creating a relaxed environment. I am lucky enough to be going back to play there in May and very much looking forward to it. Fingers crossed the weather is better, but the rough hasn't grown too much!

I recently held a big birthday party at Bearwood Lakes Golf Club and couldn't have been happier. The organisation was seamless and the food and service were excellent. We had the hot fork buffet (I chose a Thai chicken or veg curry with fish and chips as an alternative - both of which went down very well with our guests) followed by a selection of desserts and it was perfect. The setting is beautiful - perfect for a special and memorable occasion!

We had an AMAZING experience selecting this place for my sister's post-wedding dinner! We had booked the entire restaurant and the views were just amazing!!! The food that was pre ordered arrived in a fantastically organised manner and was absolutely delicious!! They listened to all our requests for dietary requirements (halal) and served accordingly. The service on the day was great. They had very appropriate social distancing measures in place also. I would definitely consider booking this venue again for any occasion.

Thinking, atentive, helpful and customer focused. Bearwood Lakes was the venue for a seminar run by Woodwhites accounts and Pro-actions business coaching and support at the end of Feburary. The room was like and well ventilated, the only distraction was the view outside! Teas, coffee and biscuits were served when required and kept topped up. After the morning seminar we had a drink and sandwich in the club lounge. The lady taking the order asked in I wanted my brie and bacon sandwish toasted, as this would melt the cheese and make it much better!. When we had finished we were deep in conversation and it wasn't easy to clear the coffee table in front of us. Instead of barging through, the lady took the trouble of entering from the terrace so she could reach the otherside to clear. How kind and thoughtful. As we left, we got an immediate call-out because my colleague had left her scarf on the chair. We asked for the manager and gave direct feedback on our very positive experience, but I want anyone who is thinking of using this venue to know that it is way more than a great location, it is managed and staffed by people who care.

A excellent quality golf club with a good welcome and well kept course. Despite quite a lot of rain it played well. Overall well worth a visit.

Had a fitting with Dean where I tried out the Mizuno 923 Hot Metal, Taylormade P790 and Titelist T350. Great data-driven approach and put my mid/high handicapper nerves at ease. Ending up ordering, and even with fitting fee included for the 923 HM & custom shaft, length & lie angle - came in at the same price as American Golf's off the shelf option. Delivered to Bearwood Lakes for collection within a week.

Went for a club fitting here last week, and it was a wonderful experience. Shortly after arriving, I was sat in the car park surrounded by expensive cars and beautiful scenery, asking myself "what am I doing here". As a mid handicapper who lacks confidence, I suddenly felt a lot of apprehension about my fitting session, and started wishing I had just gone to my local range and booked a bog-standard fitting. Knowing the kind of elite pros they usually fit here (search through YouTube if you're interested), all I could think was "I don't belong here". Well, I needn't have worried, because from the moment I left my car, it was a wonderful experience. The setting and the course along with all of the facilities were stunning, and every single member I walked past was warm, welcoming and said hello (they probably recognised that I wasn't a member!). The team in the pro shop were also very friendly and welcoming, and were kind enough to give me a lift in a buggy down to the range seeing as I didn't know my way. The practice facilities here are top notch, with a really nice driving range with free balls, tees and alignment sticks, and a lovely short game facility outside with bunkers and greens. Being able to warm up on the range and get my bad shots out of the way without anyone watching was very comforting. The fitting bays are up there with the best, fully kitted out with walls full of shafts and heads, and trackman equipment too. It's no wonder Mizuno chose this as their performance centre, and why so many pros come here to be fitted. Luke, my fitter, was superb. He made me feel at ease straight away and was a great guy to talk to about my game. He really knew his stuff, and whilst he let me lead the session in terms of what I felt most comfortable with, he supported every decision with data and his expertise, and was able to direct me to the right set up with time to spare. We ended up with a head that I didn't think I would be 'good' enough for, but thanks to Luke's experience and support, he directed me down a different route to what I imagines and made sure I didn't end up with something that wouldn't benefit my game and give me room for improvement. There was also no pressure to purchase, and Luke followed up after the session with an email containing the specs we had agreed on. I should also note that the price I paid for the clubs was in-line with the going rate at most online retailers, so there was no sharp mark-up like with some golf shops. If I am being really critical, it would have been nice to have had a little more visibility of the data from my shots, but Luke was happy to let me take a look when I asked, and he talked me through what he was seeing as every stage of the process to help me come to the right decision. All-in-all, I am so glad I booked my fitting session here. Yes, I probably still don't belong there, but I won't get too many opportunities to experience the facilities and customer service of a private members club, let alone one that is trusted by some of the best golfers on the planet, so I would strongly recommend to anyone else considering it to just go for it. You won't regret it, and it is well worth the fitting fee. Until next time...

We recently had our wedding reception at Bearwood Lakes Golf Club. The whole process leading up to the event was very smooth and Mandy did an amazing job managing the event. Despite having to delay and move the date several times, she was always accommodating and extremely helpful. The staff on the day were very friendly and the day flowed very well. The food was delicious and all the guests enjoyed their meals. We had a nice relaxing time on the golf course when we went out to have pictures done. Perfect place for a perfect day!

What a truly fabulous course and club! Big shout out to Andrew the head GreenKeeper for presenting the course in immaculate condition for the Pro-Am this week. It was a pleasure to look after all the Teams.

Attended a 40th birthday party. Bought 2 pints of mid range beer and was charged £14.41. When I asked the question of ‘how can it be an odd number when buying 2 products of the same price’ they confirmed that they added a surcharge to each purchase. If you’re planning a party at this venue make sure you fully discuss the pricing of drinks as I felt this was a scam.

26/11/22. We held our 50th Wedding Anniversary party for approx 80 people at Bearwood Lakes Golf Club. We couldn't have been happier. Pre organisation was good , flexible, accomodating, and made us feel fully involved. The organisation on the night was seamless, the venue beautifully decorated and the food second to none. The setting itself is perfect and was a major part in making this a sucess. Lynne and I would just like to thank Mandy and her staff for all their efforts and hard work.

I’ve been very lucky to play Bearwood as a guest half a dozen times and have always found it a special place to play. Deeply disappointed recently to pay £90 to be faced with the slowest and most unresponsive greens I’ve played this year or last. I appreciate, as a golfer, greens need to be left I mowed, unrolled on occasion, I just don’t think you should be able to charge this level of fees when that is the situation. A very poor experience on what should of been a very special Golfers day out.

Great clubhouse and a couple of spots to charge electric cars. Amazing scenery and layout. Greens were a little slow, but can imagine that they could make them very tricky when quick. The staff are the real stars. They were very professional and friendly, made us feel like members although just visiting. Hope to be able to visit again.
