2 of us and a dog for 2 nights. Lovely location a short walk from the cove. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff welcoming to us. Breakfasts good. Food was mixed - my crab and Linguine pasta was soup like with no hint of crab and sunday roast had to be sent back as the meat was visibly dried out. Other dishes quite good. So good mixed but otherwise a lovely place to stay in a great location

The food is delicious but the service can be improved. We managed to order delicious lunch but when we returned the next day at 10:30 for breakfast - we were told that no food will be served until 12. However, the sign in front of the pub said food served 9am - 9pm. Normally, this wouldn’t bother me so much but we were all hungry and received nothing in the way of apology for the misleading sign up front.

Beautiful, thatched roof pub with very friendly and welcoming staff. Good location with only short walk to the beach. Real gem with lots of character. Our room was beautifully decorated , cosy and comfortable. Breakfast menu was outstanding. Great choice of options, good selection of juices and real coffee! We dined there as well as it was convenient. Food was delicious , good selection of vine and tasty beer. Outstanding service all way through. I would definitely recommend it.

Perfect example of what an English country pub / hotel should be. Room was clean, modern and had all I needed. Restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was food for a champion. Great staff. Don't miss the chance to have a beer and an outstanding meal here.

The staff were wonderful, the service was amazing and the food was incredible!! Easily the best burger I have ever had!! Will most definitely be popping by again during our next visit to Dorset. The two ladies serving today, around 13:30 were lovely! Thank you both 🙂

Spent a lovely evening drinking and eating. Great food in a beautiful part of the country. Reasonable prices. If using the pub car park across the road, register your car details with the pub or you’ll receive a fine. Ours was sorted with the lovely Pub staff after a quick phone call . Didn’t see the sign!

We have just spent 4 nights at the Castle Inn with our Collie Dog and had the best time. Really helpful and friendly staff and landlord. Great food and we met some lovely people. Fantastic room with some lovely little touches. Beautiful location, great dog walks. We all loved it. Rosa (the dog) loved meeting everyone. We couldn't have asked for anything better. We'll be back for sure.

Great food, speedy service and decent price especially for a tourist town. Soup was amazing and so was the onion bhaji. Only issue was the ice in the coke tasted a bit off and the coke was a bit flat. Overall I'd give it an 8/10

Room was clean but definitely overpriced at £300 per night. Walls were stained and could use repainting. Room very dark but clean and spacious. Toilet paper holder was not quite fit for purpose as the toilet paper roll kept falling off and unravelling. Towels were stained also. Breakfast was included but got only one egg with Shakshuka and a load of sauce! Croissants were disappointing with strange taste. Cappuccino was very good. Food in the pub tasted mostly frozen food heated up. Nothing we had seemed fresh. Service was good in the pub, however. Staff very friendly. I would stay elsewhere on my next trip to Durdle door even though the driving distance was convenient.

Sunday roast over a good walk. Great service (we arrived earlier than anticipated and they found us a table even though they were busy.) Delicious food. Lovely beer. Great with our 2 children. Thank you for a lovely visit! (can’t really comment on the rooms - but the whole pub and outside area was excellent so assume the rooms are the same.)

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I couldn’t find was somewhere to hang our coats. The food was delicious breakfast filled us up! We dined in the restaurant for dinner and each time we noticed the attention to detail with the service. We would definitely stay again!

What a lovely and friendly place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights to attend a wedding at Lulworth Castle. Staff were so friendly and the service was 10/10. Next time we are down in Dorset we will be staying there again. Thank you so much for such a warm and welcoming stay. Michael and Kim Bohmer

Wonderful 2-day stay over new year with our two dogs. Lovely boutique room, great atmosphere, and excellent (good value) food. The staff make it a special stay, with thanks to Molly who couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

We had an AMAZING meal at the Castle Inn. The staff could not have been more accommodating. They were so friendly, attentive, quick and always had a smile on all their faces. They spotted my Nana coming from outside (as she has a walker to get around) and they opened the door for her in advance so she could get in easily. They were always asking how we were. The general vibe of the pub was warm, cosey, but clean and stylish! Could not fault the food. A wonderful night. Special mention to Ian, our wonderful waiter. Thanks for a lovely evening ⭐️

A lovely place to stay!! The rooms are well sized and nicely decorated with good amenities. The pub itself is really nice - the breakfast is great, lots to choose from and the dinner we had was delicious. The staff are so friendly and really accommodating. Great location to explore the Jurassic coast. Would absolutely stay again!

Had a great new year at the Castle Inn. The staff are amazing and very helpful. I left my kindle in our room. The staff posted it to me and I received it the following day very impressed and very grateful. Will definitely return for another stay, the food was good too.

Quite honestly the best pub I've been to in decades. Came with my family and my mum. The team here were exceptionally kind and accommodating as one of my daughters is autistic and asked for separate food. This would have been outstanding alone but then the food came out. Quite simply superb. Mussels the size and taste of which we have never seen before and soup and toastie to die for. The best people, the best food, the best location. We are making plans to come back.

My wife and I booked a table for Saturday night supper. We had Really enjoyable evening. The waitress was very polite and cheery and the food was delicious. We had 3 courses and each course was 10/10. The smoked haddock starter was an 11. Will definitely be returning. Fantastic pub and team. Thanks

We stopped here for fish & chips and dessert. Staff was incredible, food was delicious and they are dog friendly - which was a big plus as we were travelling with our pup. We spent just a little under £70 on 2 mains, 2 deserts, 2 drinks and 2 teas, so well worth it. Parking was free - so another plus. Would highly suggest stopping by!

We were deeply disappointed by the lack of hospitality we experienced at this place. Not only were we denied breakfast, but even the simple request for a cup of tea was turned down for fellow travelers. Such treatment left us disheartened by the overall experience. Please avoid this place. Reply to Kenny's comment: Thank you for your reply and please note that there is no mention anywhere indicating that breakfast is not served to non-inn guests. Unfortunately as I mentioned earlier we were denied service multiple times by a member of the staff. Additionally, she informed us that tea would only be available at 10 o'clock, which meant a wait of about one and a half hours (not 20 minutes). Would it be acceptable for you to wait?! 😂 Personally, I felt that we were politely turned away, but it still had a negative impact on our morning.

Loved our stay at the Castle Inn, we were there for a Bank Holiday weekend. So close to the cove and to all the landmarks, ideal as a walking base. It was really peaceful once the pub closed, couldn't believe how quiet it was. The food was excellent, we had dinner which was delicious and the breakfasts were really good, especially the eggs florentine. The staff were all great, very relaxed and friendly, and made our stay even better. We stayed in room three which was very small, both of us are tall so the beams got in the way a bit and one of us had to get on the bed if the other one wanted to move around the room. However, the room was cute with a lot of really nice touches and the bathroom was big and had a really good shower

Spent a long weekend at the Castle Inn. The staff were all exceedingly helpful and pleasant and made our stay very enjoyable. The food was excellent and the bar had a good range of drinks, including non-alcoholic options. Would definitely recommend.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Absolutely perfect bed and shower. Amazing food and beer. Super nice staff. The surroundings (the town and hiking trails) are world-class. Just stay and eat here and you will love it.

Lovely old thatched Inn. Quite busy when we arrived on a cold miserable day with friends. The Inn had just had a power cut, so were trying to get that sorted. Checked in, our room was large and comfortable, lighting a bit low,but ok. Fridge in the room, with a bottle of complimentary beer and fizz, a nice touch. Staff all very friendly and chatty. Had booked dinner for 7.30, but was early which was not an issue. Food good, lovely fish and chips. Breakfast next morning very good, with nice selection. Car park across the road from the Inn. Would recommend.

Stayed one night prior to a trip to Bovington Tank Museum. Arrived late on a Sunday, but staff were really welcoming and made sure the kitchen stayed open. I am glad they did as it was a fantastic Sunday roast. Room was perfect, comfortable and very well equipped to the highest spec. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and geared to a variety of tastes. Staff were superb and couldn’t do enough for you, and would highly recommend

Very welcoming on arrival. Lovely room and shower room. Very high standard fit out. Despite being sub-zero weather and snow/ ice outside our room and the restaurant were very warm. Very well presented and tasty dishes. Very good customer service in the restaurant. Good breakfast. Large choice. Sunday sleepover deal is well worth it. Would recommend the room (Standard) and menu.

Probably one of the best rooms we stayed in. The staff especially Hobbs did everything they could to make the stay a special one. The meals were excellent evening and breakfast…. We were able to eat and drink each meal in the hotel as it was the best place around. The car park across the street was convenient and it was possible to walk to the beach from the hotel. The streets are narrow and the paths come and go.

Fabulous Location, Amazing Staff. Although rooms are beautifully furnished they are incredibly small especially if you take your dog. Food good, rooms are not cleaned only beds are made which I thought strange. Will come back for lunch/dinner but not to stay. Staff are just amazing, especially Hobbs, Jess & Kelly.

The hotel room and the quality of the breakfast is top level, location is also perfect. Room is beautifully decorated, clean and has everything you wanted from a hotel room. The breakfast is super tasty and have variety of choices. A few things to bear in mind if you stay. Firstly the room will not be cleaned during your stay, although bed will be made. Secondly, make sure you order your breakfast before 945am, we came down one day at 947am, and being told that the kitchen is closed.

Great location for coastal walks. Food, room and beer were excellent. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly. Parking readily available even a few hours before checking in. Just let them know your vehicle registration. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning. Great value for money. Thank you.
