Really excellent experience hiring pedalos from here for our wedding. Great comms beforehand and on the day to work out how the boats would get to the water and where to set up. Recognised we had a lot else going on on the day and were very helpful, even helping us to set up some balloons when they had finished setting up the boats!! The guests loved the pedalos, it was one of the more unique highlights from our wedding day that guests will remember. Very reasonable value, considering they provided 2 people for set up and helping guests on and off. The activity was also done very safely as well, and we never had any concerns about this.

We had an order with a different company from last year and there seemed to be no hope of getting the boats that we had ordered due to constant delays and pushbacks for our young people. I went over to Leam Boat Station to purchase some safety equipment and the service I received was absolutely outstanding. I got talking to them and after hearing the predicament I was in, they went above and beyond to help. Since Saturday, we have since had 2 Canoes and 3 kayaks from this company meaning our young people were able to get out on the water as soon as last night! As a Paddlesports instructor, I would 100% recommend this company. Sam was so helpful and professional- nothing was too much trouble. On behalf of Nuneaton and Bedworth Sea Cadet Unit - thank you!

Very friendly staff, reasonable prices and relaxed if you return a little bit late (those pedalos can be hard work!). They have life jackets for adults, children and babies (we had a 2 year old and 5 month old with us). The river is lovely. Would recommend an hour as you can't get very far with a 30 minute round trip. An ice cream shop around the back is a good post-boating treat.

We launched our own paddle board from the club for a nominal fee. The staff are very friendly, helpful and polite and minded our car key whilst we were out on the river. The River Leam is fantastic for beginners......it's long and slow and not too wide. We had a couple of great days on the river and will definitely return.....many thanks.

Had Sophie as my instructor - she is awesome! Also Jack was really fun. Great atmosphere and a highlight to my week during the 4 week Introduction to Kayaking course. Also really enjoyed the day trip to Wye River. Highly recommend! :-)

My son has attended the kayaking and paddle boarding sessions and loves coming! He has such a great time with the instructors and they make learning how to kayak and paddle board so much fun! I would highly recommend attending any of the session! Thank you again to all the team and he can’t wait until next time!

I did the 4 week beginners kayaking course. I highly recommend it. The instructor (Sophie) was great, and the other people in the course were lovely. I learned some new skills, made some new friends, and had a fun time. The price is reasonable and the facilities are excellent. Give it a go!

I've just got back from the Skomer Island Sea Kayaking long weekend trip, run by Matt from the Boat Centre. This was my second sea kayak trip with Matt and the team (Jordan and David) and again totally amazing. Matt’s depth of knowledge is phenomenal, every day starts with a clear well-constructed briefing about the day's trip, including safety and what to do if you end up in the water, sea conditions, weather, route options ( that everyone can have an input to) and detailed theory behind tide, moon phase and the affect of the coast line on the tidal flow. Once on the water we are taught some the basic skills giving the instructor team a feel for the group's skill level. All the time, it's light hearted and fun, almost like going out with a group of mates. Even in relatively rough condition for a beginner, I always had total confidence in the instructor team and at no time did I feel that safety was ever compromised. We were always given an option to ‘sit it out’ on any challenging paddling. Great job Leam Boat Centre, see you on the next trip!

Just back from a 3 day sea kayak trip in north devin with Matt and Sophie leading and plenty of support from trainee instructor Jon. Wow what a trip. I haven’t been kayaking for some years and I felt is such safe hands. It was evident that such a huge amount of care went into planning the trip, making sure we all had the right kit, great welcome instructions, informative briefings, brilliant on the water instruction at just the right level for all of us. Really well thought through and catered for every eventuality with the unpredictable sea conditions. Not only great to see the incredible wildlife, seals, jellyfish, bird life, but stunning coastal scenery and lighthearted, warm and welcoming company. Couldn’t stop grinning for 3 days. Can’t recommend Leam Boat Centre enough. I’ll be back on the water again soon for sure. thank you team!

10/06/2023 I'd booked a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) taster for that morning. It was a beautiful sunny day, so a great start. The whole experience was brilliant. The instructors were super, and I left having learnt enough to feel fairly confident on the board but also having really enjoyed myself. I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of trying SUP. Thanks guys

I loved it so much, staff were very kind and friendly. Would go back every day if I could. I hired a paddleboard for an hour and my friends hired kayaks. I love that we got to hire out different equipment and was just left to it for an hour on the beautiful lake.

As usual Leam boat club have run another course which was fun and has given me much more confidence on the water. The river trips are always so much fun.

I had a SUP taster session on the river and it was great. The two hours was enough to learn to stand up, turn around, navigate and also have time to ourselves to practise. It was so much fun with the group and I really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back soon

Loved this - we all chose a different boat and they all great, paddle, kayak and row. All the people working here are so helpful and it’s so much fun out on the water, we saw a group out on on the giant paddle board and it looked brilliant - on a hot day - go for it! Thanks so much to you all

Only did an hour kayak hire, went as far as you could up the river, it was absolutely beautiful and best thing we did all weekend. Was worried about getting in and out of the boat due to limited mobility but the guys were amazing and got me out of the water so I could get out on solid land. Would do it again
