Great choice of equipment. Good atmosphere, people just having fun on the water. Would be nice if the cafe had some healthier options on the menu; pasties, cakes and ice-cream only as far as I could tell. The location is scenic and a good place to try a new water sports activity for the first time.

Lovely lake/dam to walk around, bike hire available, on the Cornish/Devon boarder. Car park accepts Ringo app so you can pay with ease £2.50 for 2 hours or £5 all day. Disabled parking available, toilets and cafe on site too.

Took a bike ride from Kilkhampton to Tamar upper lakes and cycled around the lakes which was about 2.5 miles. A nice pleasant ride only came across 2 other people. Lots of wildlife and nature to observe then stopped at the CAFE for coffee and carrot cake served by very friendly staff. Highly recommend for a nice walk or bike ride. You have to pay for the car park but there are lots of signage for information regarding the lake and wildlife and even bird hides for the twitchers.

Brilliant place. Went for the free family session. Ended up paying for a tailored individual fishing session for me and my son. Guaranteed fish! 25 for myself and 41 for my son. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend to anyone. 4 stars as when we arrived, nothing was signposted and we felt a little lost.

Beautiful. Good camping although note it's on a hill. Toilets didn't have any soap in all weekend but I'll forgive all of that for the lake. Saw cormorants, heron, ducklings, swallows and lots more. Husband went kayaking.

Great walk around the lake, very pretty with well maintained path that is perfect for walking, cycling or even wheelchairs. We used the picknick area with a good view of the lake, and the coffee room and toilets provided almost the facilities. Great place to spend half a day.

Attended the Autumn Family Funday with my grandsons. Had a fantastic time, the activity centre staff had multiple activities laid out, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed.

Nice facilities for rowing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, paddle boarding. Very courteous and helpful staff with safety back up of staff member in motor boat if any help needed. Safety jackets provided for the boating activities when you hire from the centre. Thoroughly enjoyed the rowing and canoeing.

We love Tamar lakes, recommend to all our visitors. Take the bikes, or go for a walk, it is just great. Boys have sailed, paddle boarded gone canoeing on these lakes. Great times meeting with friends and family.

Great walk with the dog, have to have dog on lead. Really need some extra dog bins. Only 1 bin at the entrance I saw after walking a full 2.8mile lake.. Nice to see the cows on the way round and we're friendly too. It OK there behind fencing.. Dog me them and though they were OK too. Cafe at to also good. Had cheese and ham toasted and was very good. Say 9 out of 10 on that.

Great fun. Loved the bike ride around the lake, the rowing and the fishing, even though I didn't catch any fish (the children and the wife did!)

Staff are great even with annoying customers. The only downside is that the bikes are just OK. The chain fell off one and was a pain to reseat, but they're hire bikes so what would you expect!

The Activity center is great, all the guys there are super helpful and make it so easy to hire and use equipment. We hired paddleboards with wetsuits and boyancy aids included. The equipment was top notch and the instruction was good too. Lots of other activities on offer, kayaks, canoes. There are walking and cycling routes, plenty of space to picnic, a nice cafe and childrens play area. Parking can get busy, £4 all day.
