One word: Excellent! Stopped by when we drove back from the beach. As tourists in the UK we were tired of all the messy pubs with basically the same food and ended up in this restaurant. Couldn't have been better! This is the atmosphere and the food we were craving for after two weeks. Fresh and delicious food in a warm and cozy setting. Staff was very friendly and correct. Of course.. it's a bit more pricey than a pub, but the food and ambience is totally worth it. By far the best restaurant I've been in years, but unfortunately can't come back anytime soon.

Six of us dined here Saturday evening Staff were attentive. We had been told that the table was available for 2 hours and a reminder pebble was on the table. Unfortunately, we received our main course just a few minutes short of 1 hour. After finishing our main courses we asked for the dessert menu, which took some time to arrive. It became obvious that the young lady who was clutching the menu was not keen we should make an order, in view of the time left at the table. She tentatively offered ice cream. When I mentioned it had already taken almost one hour before we had received our main courses, she replied that they were very busy. We, therefore, paid the bill and left. Such a pity. We were left feeling disappointed with our dining experience, especially as we had heard such good reports.

Wow! First visit but certainly won't be our last. Four of us visited and we each had something different, we couldn't fault a thing. The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better. The staff were attentive without being pushy and the young waiter chap, sorry didn't get your name, was brilliant. Had a great evening in lovely surroundings and can't wait to return.

One of the best meals we've had in a long time. Myself and my fiance were visiting friends in Wimborne and it was also their first time trying this restaurant as it was recently recommended to them by their employer. The meat platter to start was delicious and we all got a plate with gorgeous bread with oil and balsamic. I got the cod for mains and it was beautifully cooked. The men got sirloin and they described it as sensational. The desserts were also exceptional. To top it off the wine was amazing and the staff were just the friendliest and the most mannerly I've come across.

My partner and I eat here regularly and are never let down by Jamie and his mothers perfect place. Everything about the pig is perfect for ourselves and we really enjoy every dish it has to offer. I highly recommend to anyone with a taste pallet.

I've been wanting to go here for ages so Christmas seemed a good time to visit with friends. It was lovely. The food was amazing and the service excellent. Beautifully decorated old house, just right to put us in the Christmas mood. Apparently they also have a garden area so that will be good to check out. We will definitely be going back.

Absolutely AMAZING, there was a really lovely atmosphere to the place! I had the pulled pork burger and it was unbelievable, the chips were so crispy on the outside but soft on the inside and had really nice seasoning, the BBQ sauce was just incredible it was almost caramel-y!? The burger itself may be the best thing I have ever eaten, very generous amount of pulled pork, the sauce on the pork was so delicious, there were little chunks of apple inside that complimented the pork really nicely, it was amazing!! My partner ordered the pork belly and said it was delicious, but it did cost £5 more than my burger and was a lot less food. However in its defence it was definitely proper, sophisticated restaurant food, it was displayed beautifully and had lots of components and was clearly made of quality ingredients, so yes it's a bit small but you are paying for the quality. Just worth bearing in mind when you order!

The food here has always been fabulous and today was no exception. Today I had two courses from the set menu of pulled pork and rhubarb and blackberry crumble. To top it all, it was a nice day so we sat in the garden which was a cosy little haven. This was a perfect treat and I thoroughly recommend it.

We visited The Wimborne Pig as a party of six. The food was really amazing and we appreciated that the ingredients were sourced locally. The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere and pretty decoration. The staff was very attentive and friendly. It was my dad's birthday and I asked them just after ordering dessert if they could come up a little surprise. They severed ice cream with candle while singing Happy Birthday. Thanks so much! Overall an absolutely fantastic experience!

We had an evening meal booked mid-week and due to changes in plans, asked to move the booking forward, which was kindly accommodated. The staff were helpful in selecting dishes and honestly highlighting options. One of us had the three course set menu and the other selected from the main menu. All meals were delicious and beautifully presented. The calamari with sriracha sauce was excellent, as was the cheese souffle. My only comment on the food was that the bread and butter pudding had a bit of a meaty taste, perhaps because it was warmed in an oven with main dishes, but on the whole, was a perfect and romantic meal. Highly recommended!

A lovely restaurant. A friendly welcome on arrival. Service was efficient and excellent. The food was excellent too. Chef and kitchen staff were spot on with prompt plate service and food was very tasty and good variety on the menu. You must book though. It's a very popular restaurant.

Superb in every way, delicious food beautifully presented and served in a full of character restaurant. Flavour full and friendly. Book early to save disappointment. The talented head Chef and his team cook me the best plaice on the bone I have ever had. My wife had hake which was equally beautifully cooked. Spectacular cheese board and the poached pear and Panna cotta was sent from heaven !

Wow what fantastic food. I had the steak which was delicious with herbs & butter on top, the wife had pork belly which she loved. The deserts were incredible too. Coke n rum was pricey at 9.50 though so watch out on your drinks
