Our favourite winery in the Hunter Valley. Stunning setting with beautiful wines, all reasonably costed. Justin was an excellent & highly knowledgeable host having lived nearby for most of his life. Cannot fault the place... Also highly recommend the Muscat in it's unique bottle.

Absolutely stunning place to visit with great variety BUT….. wine tasting is $15 per person. We were very disappointed in the price. Who can afford $30 per couple just to taste wine? There are ample places in the Hunter Valley that are $10, $5 or free! Definitely do your research.

Unfortunately, we received terrible experience at the cellar door today. On arrival, I asked if our group of two was able to try 1-2 wines. Was informed by a young man in his 20s that they had bookings arriving “soon” but may be able to allow us to try 1-2 wines. There was less than 5 other customers at the cellar door and multiple staff. Selected one wine from the tasting menu, but was informed “I don’t know if we have that one open”. Why have wine on a tasting wine that isn’t available for sampling? After briefly going out the back, the young man informed us that they didn’t have a bottle of that wine open. Needless to say, we left without buying wine, and I won’t be returning. I’d prefer to offer our business to a winery that is keen to welcome visitors to the Hunter Valley.

My husband and I absolutely love Peppertree Wines. It’s our favourite winery, and we’ve come multiple times! We can never leave without purchasing wines. We highly recommend coming here. It’s absolutely beautiful and all of the staff and very friendly, but also not overbearing. The cheese was delicious and the wine is always incredible. We’ll never come to the Hunter Valley without visiting Peppertree Wines! 10/10!!

A Hunter trip is not complete without a visit to Pepper Tree Wines. I have lost count of the number of times I have visited the winery but it never fails to impress. This time we went for a friends birthday. I would like to give a shout out to Justin who was the epitome of charm and we were so impressed by his ability to speak Mandarin which built rapport Instantly. He was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable and made our trip to the winery very memorable. We would give more than six stars if we could. The service was impeccable.

This winery is Absolutely beautiful !! The wine selection is irresistible !! ..definitely worth the trip! We spent quite some time walking around enjoying the calmness.. we really enjoyed our wine tasting .. Staff was very lovely, friendly and funny!! We couldn't resist getting a few extra bottles 👌... wine glasses... and a few items from their lovely merchandise !! This place is a little romantic .. so you gotta check it out with your partner !!!

Such a beautiful place. Dean took care of us (a group of girls with not much experience with wine). He was so kind, sweet and funny :) Made us feel very comfortable and enjoy the whole experience. Cheeseboard was delicious and wines were amazing ✨Thank you!!

Favorite winery in the world, these guys deliver on all levels. If you’re visiting the hunter make sure you go to Pepper Tree first, even if it’s the only stop it’s the only one that matters. It’s a beautiful setting, the garden grounds, the inside wine tasting area, there’s a fire place for colder days and spots to sit outside on sunny days. The staff are all incredible, super friendly and it’s apparent that they love what they do and make sure you have the best experience possible. Dave and Shaz are absolute legends, it’s the best wine tasting experience I’ve had. This was my third time visiting Pepper tree and I’ll be sure not to miss it anytime I’m visiting the Hunter. If you’re lucky you might see one of their dogs living their best life around the grounds. If you want good vibes and to leave feeling happier than you were when you came in (and not just from tasting their delicious wines) this is the place to go!

Amazing experience wine tasting. Perfect ambiance, great service and spectacular wine choices. If you can ask for Shaz, she is an absolute legend, great sense of humour and will undoubtably make your experience memorable.

A must stop in Hunter Valley! Incredible wines, great variety, beautiful property and the friendliest experience. Dean and the dogs on property (Zulu, Yummy, Boss) were so friendly - felt like we were visiting an old friend. Our first time visiting the area and so glad we stopped in.

From the minute we arrived at Pepper Tree Wines, we were made to feel welcome by the very knowledgeable and friendly Dave. It was by far one of the best wine tastings I have ever experienced and a beautiful setting to go with it. Would definitely recommend to others and am now eagerly waiting to return.

We had the most delightful experience here. Sitting outside under an umbrella Ebony was our hostess, and was so generous with her time and knowledge. She was even able to help us with lunch enquires. We will definitely be back and we can highly recommend Pepper Tree. 👌

Excellent experience at Pepper Tree! Shout out to Ebony who hosted us! Friendly and knowledgeable, going to the extent of showing us other offerings that are beyond the standard tasting. We had a standard and single vineyard tasting and we prefer the latter. Won't be disappointed to make a trip here. They also have a picnic ground if you would like to bring some food along to pair with your drinks!

Pepper Tree Wines has become a regular stop for us when we are in the Hunter Valley. The service is always friendly, even when they are busy. The cellar door is beautiful. Highly recommend.

Best Staff and Awesome Welcome in the Cellar Door. Out of 2 full days in the Hunter Valley, I cannot go home before complimenting Pepper Tree for putting up a delicious, charming wine tasting... even if I wrongly booked for the day after! J

This is my absolute favourite winery in the Hunter Valley, and that’s because the entire experience never disappoints! This afternoon, Dave gave my mom and I such a memorable tasting, we left so happy. He was very knowledgeable and knew how to customise the tastings to what we’d enjoy. The wines are delicious and the relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere make you want to come back time and time again. Thank you Dave! We will be back!

The most beautiful winery and setting in in Hunter, incredible wines and fantastic staff. Dave is a legend and gave us a great tasting experience. We always visit on trips to Hunter!

We recently spent a weekend in the hunter and our favorite tasting was at Peppertree. The staff were so welcoming, beautiful grounds and we loved the wines we tasted. We were served by Justin , who we would highly recommend. He was very friendly and had great knowledge about all of the wines. We look forward to a return visit.

Pepper Tree Wines is one of the most beautiful wineries to visit in the Hunter Valley with its amazing gardens and cellar door. The staff are so friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines. You are welcomed as soon as you walk in, and no matter how busy they are, they will give you their full attention. We tried some lovely wines and walked away with a good few that we will thoroughly enjoy. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Disappointing experience. Although their sign clearly indicates you can do tastings 20 minutes before closing time any day, we were rather rudely turned away at 4.20 pm on a quiet Sunday. Apparently they were keen to close up early. One would expect better quality service and communication from this winery

This winery was a great experience and you should include it on your Hunter Valley itinerary. The wines were on point and the tasting staff were welcoming and informative. All in lovely picturesque surroundings. Highly recommended.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience here at pepper tree wines, very accommodating and they were friendly in helping us with the taste testing. If you are visiting this winery, ask for Justin to be your server, he's great, knowledgeable and a easy going guy and will tell as it is, he a great employee. Definitely coming back!

Such a lovely estate. Superbly manicured green lawns, warm, friendly & welcoming of both us & our 2 puppies. Tasted some of the loveliest wines, our favourite was the Aglianico 2022 Limited Edition Rosè & the crisp playful notes of the Sticky Pig Pinot Gris, tasted literally like a green apple. We of course indulged in a couple of cases 😜 Suh a lovely start to our Hunter Valley day weekend l. Thank you guys for a lovely visit.
