The doctor is super rude. She was rude throughout the conversation and didn’t even care to listen to me. In addition, the ointments she gave were very expensive, increased my skin condition even more. I’m not sure if she is rude with everyone or just with people of color because I sensed it the entire time that how she was talking to me. And the lady, went after me to see the doctor, was a “white skinned “ person and I heard her (doctor) laughing and talking to her nicely. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone. There are better than this one in Tokyo with superb hospitality.

THE WORST, RUDEST “doctor” I have met in my 7 years here. HORRIBLE, Horrible experience with this doctor and her staff. It started with a staff who was very rude on the phone. I asked if they are open today and she said yes and when I said “see you today” she just dropped the phone very loudly without saying anything else. When I shared this with the doctor she became very antagonistic and started becoming very rude and although she did apologized for the behavior of her staff but I felt that it wasn’t really sincere, she got offended even when I spoke calmly and she sounded very irritated with me. She is even giving excuses that “that they’re taking many calls all morning etc.” and “they’re not English native speakers” well, I am too. She is also saying phrases such “I’ve apologized a million times” when she’s actually THE ONE bringing it all up again many times—this doctor speaks so much that every 1 sentence I speak, she would reply 10 times and in a very offensive tone—I was calm and only shared so they can improve but instead it escalated even more, and I have to be the one to mention if we can move on—there’s no winning against someone like her, so yeah I told her can we move on and she repeated after me and then we proceeded to what I actually was there in the clinic for—this is only the beginning. She asked me how did I learn how often to wash my hair and when I said about reading it on Google—washing hair every other day and she laughed at it—and kept making remarks “you can read on Google if you want” many times during our conversation any time she can get away that I had to ask her if she’s making fun of me and then she stopped when I called her out. How rude and very disappointing behavior for a doctor. She can really be very unprofessional and a bully to patients she doesn’t like—doesn’t matter if they are really kind in person or not—because this doctor already MADE HER OWN ASSUMPTIONS that they are not kind and hence unworthy of a good treatment. She even laughed at me when I said I didn’t bring the scalp cream the other private hospital gave to me—saying there are so many different creams in a very condescending way—well duh. She’s known for making patients feel small/ignorant based on the negative reviews here on Google maps as if she can do that to me. I asked why was she laughing with what I read on Google (washing hair every other day) but then recommended 3-4/week hair washing to me—isn’t it the same and she couldn’t respond properly. Look at how she responds to the negative reviews here—so unkind, unprofessional and rude. Yes, “doctor” we are happy to take our money elsewhere. She clearly has some behavioral problem issues—very quick to anger, arrogant and thinks of herself TOO highly for what she can even offer. She’s THE WORST doctor I’ve unfortunately met in Japan in my 7 years of living here—fyi she’s not Japanese. Also expected it to be long but I’ve been there since 10:30AM but only left at 12:10PM. I don’t recommend going here. It’s not just worth it.

The doctor is knowledgeable, unfortunately her attitude is beyond inconsiderate. She doesn't listen to what you have to say and she clearly thinks that helping/doing her job is a waste of her time. Yet, she has time to berate her patients. If you have a skin issue and want to feel like it's your fault, or want to feel ashamed for having a skin problem please visit this clinic. If you want to be treated with consideration please stay away from this place.

The doctor was great and explained my condition in detail and took her time to answer all my questions. I’m glad to find this clinic!! I didn’t have to wait long too or maybe I got lucky. (No need for reservations, just walk-in). I recommend going just before they open. I was the first patient today at 3pm. I hope my scalp condition gets better after using what she prescribed me…

I never had very bad acne when I was in my home country, the Philippines. However, upon moving to Japan, the cold dry weather made my skin broke out so bad that my confidence dropped to the point that I don’t want to face other people anymore. Dr. Keong monitored my skin so well and after a few months of consulting with her, she managed to clear out my acne! She also helped me with my acne scars! Dr. Keong and her staff are so kind. They will treat you like a member of their family. The queue can be so long especially on Saturdays but waiting in line will be worth it! I definitely recommend this clinic!

Blown away by my experience here. The staff could speak English and was polite and accommodating. I came here for acne problems. The doctor was very nice. She is basically bilingual, her pronunciation was perfect. She asked questions and explained clearly. She took the time to explain the treatment plan. She even said “Take care” before I left. Being in Japan for so long, I am used to doctors just spending the minimum amount of time with their patient but this experience exceeded expectations.

I actually live 1 hour 25 mins away from the clinic but due to my limited Japanese skills, I had to look for a more English-friendly options. I found them on the internet and I think I have found my dermatologist in Japan. The doctor, she was very thorough and well-spoken. Even the receptionist and nurses spoke English. Thank god I found them 😌The long commute was worth every penny.

The doctor is very nice and knowledgeable. The medicine she gave cured my face so quickly within 3 days. I recommend this place for everyone who has skin problems and is looking for a doctor who can speak English.

the doctor is amazing. She will take her time, listen to you, reassure you. She did an amazing job. She's a great person. If you want to go to this clinic don't hesitate. You have to wait a long time before pass, I arrived at 10:30 and I pass at 12:00. But still, except this, the staff is also really kind. I hope the product she gave me (NINAZOL) is going to work and don't cause me secondary effect (I have a sensitive scalp). So I'll write another comment after to update I wanted to thanks all the staff again and especially the doctor who were so nice.

I came here for a skin related issue on my finger and it was a great visit to the doctor. The queue took a while but that’s expected from any clinic really (especially since this clinic doesn’t take reservations). What really makes this place great is the doctor, she speaks really good English and she’s one of the nicest doctors I’ve ever met. She’s friendly, straightforward and makes you feel comfortable. She even helped us out with directions to the station!

A very negative experience at Garden Clinic Hiroo, one that I will not forget. Unfortunately the physician had zero warmth or bedside manner, and was too busy and distracted. She hastily began to speculate about what my issue may have been in startling terms and was completely wrong causing undue distress. The office was crowded and cluttered. Yes, I should have turned around and left when I walked in, but had been searching for an English speaking doctor. Now there are more choices in Tokyo, so I caution you about making an appointment here.

Dr. Keong has given me some of the best doctor experiences in Japan. Every consultation with her has felt very personable, friendly, kind and took an interest in me as a person and not just a patient. I’ve had to deal with eczema all my life and already knew the types of medication I needed. She listened and understood what I asked for and found similar versions of the medication in Japan which worked better than any meds I’ve used before. I’ve seen about 6 other dermatologists in Japan who have never listened to me and always thought they knew better, and prescribed meds that made my skin issues worse. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Keong for 3 years now and have no intention of seeing any other dermatologist. Thanks Dr. Keong! You’re the best 😊

I have been under care of Dr Keong from 2014, now I am leaving japan and I'm writing a review so anyone with psoriasis could find her and gets better. It's hard to find an excellent english speaking dermatologist in Tokyo. The staff service are very good and friendly. The price is fair, if you have a Japanese health insurance but only covers skin disease, not other cosmetic treatment (laser, botox, tattoo removal etc) I saw some mixed reviews, bad and good. I wouldn't advise to come on Saturdays, it's indeed the busiest slot and the wait time could be longer than 2-3 hours, so you might feel rushed and impatiently treated. I have had this experience for 6 years, so I know not to come on Saturdays. My experience has been great so far, although unfortunately psoriasis is a skin condition that has no cure yet, but my skin gets better under her care. She is caring, advises patiently how to effectively manage my skin conditions. She also has a UVB phototherapy machine that helps a lot if you could go regularly at least once a month. I recommend her if you have a psoriasis skin condition. She's human, not always patient or nice, sometimes she scolds me if I don't treat my skin properly, just like an older sister that cares :) I will miss seeing her as my dermatologist. She even gave me a KN95 mask after she knew I am flying soon, that's how she cares about her patient !

It's difficult to communicate with the doctor, and he's so pressured that I can't understand him. I would appreciate it if you would not make me worry about unnecessary things when I just want to diagnose the symptoms and seek advice for recovery.

Appalling experience! I went to this clinic for my acne treatment. I clearly told the doctor and her team that my body is allergic to creams with steroids and antibiotics. Despite that, she prescribed me both. Result - I'm having to live with extremely painful and scary side effects. The doctor isn't interested in listening to the patient, she showed visible irritation when I asked her to repeat something she asked me. She was robotically parroting the things I need to do without asking me about my lifestyle. I asked her if there are any diet changes I need to make....and she said nothing and that I should just take the medicine she's prescribed. In this time and age, we need doctor's who can listen to their patients, and prescribe advice that takes into account a patient's needs. Not focus on selling their products at the cost of a patient's health. Not recommended unless you want to be a guinea pig!

The doctor is usually very nice but when I went to her for her help recently she was extremely rude, dismissive and rushed me out the door because “it’s the end of the day and [she was] done”. She did not allow me to explain why I was there in full or look at my issue and was irritated with me for not being a regular there. We only spoke for maybe 5 mins (while nurses interrupted us multiple times) before rushing me out. I will never visit this clinic again. My advise to others is don’t go on Saturday’s because obviously the doc doesn’t want to be there and she will take it out on you.

Doctor was friendly. She listened to my concerns and showed to me that she was not disgusted by any kind of skin condition. She gave me medicines, supplements, and shampoo which I think helped with my problems. Thanks so much for a wonderful & easy visit.

Dr. Keong and her staff were extremely nice and welcoming. I had come from a much further prefecture to see Dr.Keong and the experience did not disappoint. She treated my skin and referred me to a colleague of her's who recently opened a clinic in the prefecture I live in. She took her time with me, built a report and despite her busy schedule, we had a wonderful conversation about our personal lives. I cannot recommend her enough! Only wish she was closer to where I live!

One of my favorite things about this doctor is she never tries to push unnecessary products on me, and even recommends OTC products that are cheaper than prescriptions when applicable. She genuinely listens to my concerns and creates a treatment plan with me. Also LGBTQ+ friendly!

The staff and doctor at Garden Clinic Hiroo have always been kind, professional and caring. They are very helpful - taking the time to explain insurance and billing, explain medical conditions and treatment and also helping with any other issues that may arise (and have). We have been extremely pleased with this clinic. Japan, especially Tokyo, is famous for its customer service and dedication to pleasing clients (patients). The doctor and staff here meet that standard and go above and beyond. They have been really helpful. Thank you for your care. Highly recommended.

The doctor is extremely friendly, considerate and professional. I can’t speak for regular appointments as I had a full skin screening but she was considerate and took time to answer my questions. I see some negative reviews here but to be honest I feel like those reviews are most likely from people who themselves had bad attitudes. Either that or I saw a completely different doctor to them. All round, very pleased and won’t hesitate to come back in the future.

I have visited Dr Keong for my child’s skin problems a couple of times and each time, she has been very caring and provided very valuable assistance and advice. Some waiting time is usually required but we can also tell the team are trying to minimize it.

I had an eczema breakout all over my neck that I had been dealing with for the past 3-4 years and had multiple doctors give me ointments and creams that just never worked. I figured I just had to live with it until I started getting an eyelid rash too so I came here for a consultation. Dr.Keong immediately noticed my neck eczema, did a quick skin check for infections, and assured me she could help me with both my eyelids and neck. My skin cleared up completely in 2 weeks. A few months later, I had another breakout which prompted another visit and so far has been healing nicely. My only complaint would be the wait times can be quite long, especially on the weekends.
