Our experience at La Suite West was not an enjoyable one. We reserved the Junior Suite which looked beautiful and clean as did the entire hotel. We arrived at the hotel and straight away I could tell it wasn't as it looked online. They took us through to our room, through the hallways and the lifts. We were a little confused to be honest because the floors looked old and uneven. Tiny halls and very dark. When we arrived in our room I noticed stains and holes in the carpets, same as the hallway. The couch was old and stained also. The quality of the hotel did not match what we saw online. We expressed our concern to the reception staff and they were trying to help us by moving us to another room. The other 2 rooms they showed us were just as bad. One that had no windows so felt like a dungeon and the other was tiny. Finally they showed us a private room which was much nicer and a little bigger. We were happy.... until we noticed you could hear everything. The lifts going up and down, water in the other rooms (bathroom flushing and sink usage). Also, they had construction going on during our stay so all throughout the day you could hear thumping. It was horribly distracting which made it difficult to sleep. I would not stay here again and wouldn't recommend this to another person. The only reason I gave this a 2 star is because of the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. But at the end of the day you stay at a hotel for comfort and we were not comfortable. Regret booking this hotel.

So it's a bit of a weird hotel. The location is really nice, the room was large and the bathroom was really nice. The room was at the ground level but had no windows other than a ceiling window with dirt on it and scaffolding above it. Also there was no way to blind this window, so in the morning the room was light whether you wanted to sleep in or not. Also the room was set apart from the rest of the hotel and even had some open air next to another scaffold by the front door. It was a weird experience. The breakfast was small but nice and the service was great. I think if we had a room with normal windows the experience would have been close to perfect.

I don't usually prefer to write either good/bad reviews. But for this one i felt i have to share my experience. My experience in this hotel wasn't fully pleasant and this is mostly due to the lack of behavior i experienced from some of the reception's staff. The hotel needs to pay attention and focus on some staff behavior as they need to be trained heavily to be fully prepared to directly face and deal with customers. Mostly what i have experienced in three separate incidents, three staff shouting at me when asking for simplest right of certain services. It is also worth mentioning that aftet the first incident the Senior Manager "Faisal" stepped in and provided the naccessary support at the time of check-in although i was about to cancel my stay and go to another hotel. He convinced me that such incident won't happen again all measure to be taking with that employee. However, after the first incident, two more incidents happened but then i realized that even involving the Senior Manager does not help as it is about the behavior of those staff themselves and i felt for a second that the hiring process for receptionists was random given what i have encountered in all the incidents. Pros: Location, clean, fair food for the breakfast depending on your options from the cafeteria, good A/C, comfortable bed. Cons: Very unpleasant behavior of some employees, small rooms compare to the money value, delay in providing most of the services, key stopped working once.

The hotel is in a great location, but the room was just subpar. It was incredibly tiny- way too small for two people with lots of luggage for a week's stay. Carpet on the floor was torn up and dirty, and there was a large mold stain in the shower - which emitted a funny smell when using it. On top of that, the hotel is advertised as having certain features we didn't experience - such as heated floors in the bathroom, and newspaper service. After spending a day jumping over our luggage (which was stored on the floor of the room due to minimal closet space) to navigate through our room, we asked the front desk if it was possible to move to a slightly larger room that was more suitable for two people with enough luggage for a week's stay. We were told this would not be possible. We would not stay here again.

Pros•Great location, the tube is right behind it and it’s right next to a cocktail bar and Ice skating rink. Room was smaller then I thought it would be for a superior room but the bed was really comfy and the bathroom was lovely Cons• there was only one window in the room and it was behind the beds headboard so you cannot open it, and the hotel itself if quite warm so the room felt stuffy and hot. Also I put the air con on maximum and it didn’t seem to work as I felt the fans and no cold air came out. I would stay here again as it was great, but mostly likely when it’s a lot colder. Wouldn’t recommend for the summer unless improvements are made to the air con at least.

If I was paying Premier inn prices, i'd be a bit happier, but at ÂŁ379 for 1 night in a tiny room, this wasn't good value for money. Check in was changed by an hour with no notification. Air-con didn't work. Restaurant only serves breakfast and no alcoholic drinks available at this hotel.

Stayed here for a whole week and it was amazing! It was hard to find this hotel from Canada as the usual big chains usually come up first on Expedia but I'm so glad I kept looking because this hotel is much nicer than the chains. It is designed more North American and the bathroom was super clean and modern which is hard to find in central London. I got the junior suite and it was a great amount of space. I had a problem with the built in converters but the staff was quick to bring me one and solved my issue in no time. I would stay here again when I return to London.

Our stay at La Suite West had its ups and downs. The room was equipped with a hairdryer, shower soaps, tea and coffee as you’d expect, although this might have been the first time I’ve ever needed an iron and ironing board in a hotel and there wasn’t one. The rooms are based on a minimalistic Japanese style and as so are understandably pokey. The walls don’t seem to have the best soundproofing as every door opening or closing echoes through our room. We could also hear water dripping throughout the night which we assumed was AC/Showers/Toilets from other guests rooms. Breakfast was terrible. One should disregard any reviews older than a month or which mention vegan options on the menu. It seems to have changed hands and there aren’t any vegan options. We ordered the veggie breakfast which is listed as “two eggs, veggie sausage, spinach, grilled mushroom, tomato, beans and potato wedges” but what actually arrived were two veggie sausages deep fried into a tasteless batter, rubbery mushrooms, a small pot of skim-on-the-top beans, cooked on the outside raw on the inside chips and a piece of toast. (No butter veggie or real provided, actually nothing provided, ketchup received on request.) offensive for a breakfast marked around £15. I do not believe the tables are set each morning rather just left out through the day based on the amount of dust floating in my morning coffee. There was only one of the two lifts in operation and the keycard system seems unnecessarily fussy. TL;DR: not vegan, misleading menu, ok sleep.

We had a great weekend stay here. We were upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival. The room felt a little worn, but it was very comfortable (feather pillows and memory foam mattress). We had the vegan breakfast in the morning which was really good (I'm not a vegan but was extremely impressed with the tofu eggs). I would definitely recommend this to a friend. Plus it's close to the tube station. (Less than 5 mins walking)

Not sure whether to give 2 or 3 stars, but there are things to improve on especially for the price of the stay which was about ÂŁ267 for junior suite with breakfast. Breakfast really let it down otherwise I would have given 3-4 stars. Pros: comfy bed, good air con, friendly staff and good location, clean room Cons: noise - can hear other peoples showers while trying to sleep, bad view from room, room is small, door key stopped working, food was really bad and expensive - for a ÂŁ15 breakfast it was massively overcooked and bland and a few items on the menu were missing, flies all over the breakfast buffet and teapot used at breakfast was dusty inside

Lovely hotel that is tastefully decorated, with comfortable rooms, marble bathroom and beautiful large windows. Service was great, we had a very comfortable stay in an amazing location close to Hyde Park, tube station and a beautiful quiet street. A gem in this part of London.

The room we stayed in was incredibly noisy. You can hear trains going by which shake the room, the bed frame has this big decorative headboard which wobbles constantly if you even slightly move, the cupboard doors shook when people walked by the room, we could hear all the breakfast noises, so it didn't feel private. The room itself was quite nice though, good size bath and a nice shower. Though not having a proper window was a bit of a let down, just a frosted pane that was behind the bed, making closing the blind very awkward. The location is ideal for travel into central London.

Very poor check-in experience. Staff is borderline rude and have no interest in helping us get our room ready ("check-in is 3pm"), despite the fact that it's 2:20pm and our friend's room was ready (and our kids are exhausted). When we asked nicely if they can help get our room ready, they litterally did nothing and said our room will be ready at 3pm. Poor attitude. When we finally got into the room (only one key btw...), it looks nice but not spotless (some old hair on the bed) and our kids' bed was very small and featured a single comforter, we had to ask for another one - who expects kids to share a duvet..? Well well it's only for a weekend but certainly not great...

Some issues at check-in and with the room (drafty and not quiet) but we were able to change room so all was sorted out. Very nice hotel, rooms are very good, staff is helpful and breakfast is great and location is perfect.

Our room was towards the back of the hotel so we had no problems in terms of noise (we were also on the third floor). The bed was comfortable, not too hard which is usually the issue with hotel beds. The windows definitely need upgrading though, a draught into the room in late November when you already have a cold is not ideal. It would also take a while for hot water to come through on the shower too. The nearest tube station is around the corner so is convenient but getting an Uber can be difficult.

Great General Manager and Receptionists. Clean, comfortable, really nice place to stay in for some days. Just a few steps from Hyde Park and really really close to tube stations like Queensway or Bayswater..Some issues occurred, incredibly well managed. Thanks for your kindness. Ciao!

Stayed late September. There are better places to stay but the location is tops. Pros: location, location, location. Right beside Hyde Park. Very clean room, comfortable bed. The staff in the dining area try their best and are courteous. Cons: The breakfast is very slow, it took 40 mins to restock the boiled eggs, staff need better instructions to deal with a rush of people that happens daily. We skipped breakfast our last morning. Worst thing is the underground, you hear it noticeably at night. There is a tube station next door. You get over it, but if you are light sleeper, go elsewhere.

  • 4/5 Ryan G. 4 months ago on Google
Nicely appointed hotel, but single glazing windows offer little to no protection from street noise and the tube runs till midnight and starts at 5am so expect noise most of the day. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Amazing!! We booked a few nights for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. Super close to Hyde Park and lots of great food. We were immediately greeted with coffee and given a very sweet touch in our room. Super affordable prices and very friendly staff.

From the very start of booking this hotel I had a good feeling about the reservation . The communication was great from start to finish as I was coming from overseas so had lots of questions, about the location, checking in time and needing to leave luggage for the afternoon. The location was perfect and the rooms were lovely. I did find the bath a bit high to get in and out of which could be hazard for less abled people and when other people shut their bedroom doors it did make everything shake in our room but that’s just because we’re in old buildings so if you’re a light sleeper just bear that in mind and bring ear plugs.

Definitely NOT clean. poor service -ignored both mornings at breakfast… Omg breakfast: how can you get it so wrong?! Water pressure so low you can’t wash properly. Locked out of our rooms at 9am so had to back to reception to get cards reactivated. Indifferent staff- are these all family members with no training??. I could go on. Avoid. 2 stars to be as fair as I can.

What a find! Ideally located next to Bayswater tube station, it's welcoming, simply and elegantly decorated and with a very relaxing minimalist vibe. Room rate is super competitive, and the hotel is well-maintained. The bedroom was beautifully appointed, lovely big bathroom and kitchenette to boot, with mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities. Delicious buffet breakfast in airy morning-room, and really friendly staff.

When I arrived with my wife we were greeted by a lovely receptionist called Hannah who let us check in early. Our basement double room was lovely, there was a problem with the tv in room which wouldn't have bothered me normally but I was intending to watch the HOLLAND World Cup game! The hotel manager Faycal came to look at the problem and then decided to upgrade our room with no extra charge fantastic gesture! The rooms are lovely well thought out, modern ,clean, nice body washes great shower, comfy king size beds this was a perfect Hotel we stayed 3 nights and loved it! They even bought a bottle of wine to the room for my wife's birthday!!Great hotel with great staff.

Staffs are friendly and hotel is located at good location, near to two stations. Nice interior design too. However, you can hear a lot of footsteps squeaking/stomping noise upstairs and outside from windows as the soundproofing of the building was super badly done. Not for light sleepers. I’m quite ok with some noise but you can really hear every footsteps from upstairs which not that soft too make it hard to sleep.

We stayed (family of 4 with children aged 10&7) for one night and found the hotel to be excellent. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, junior suite room was well decorated and modern. Location of this hotel is perfect for exploring London. Would happily stay again, thanks.

Lovely rooms. The management were very accommodating as we were a group & had no problems changing things around to suit us. Also one member was celebrating a significant birthday & the bottle of wine with a note was a nice touch. On the flip side,we were woken up the first morning at 7.45 am by builders talking loudly outside our window. Next morning,at 8.15 with hammering as the hotel is undergoing a makeover. Expressed our hope that the third morning would not be the same & were told it probably would be. No apologies, just a "deal with it attitude"! Shame really. Obviously the work needs doing, but I feel they could ensure the builders would keep the noise levels down until at least 9am. Other than that the hotel is in a good location. Two tube stations very near,3 pubs,& a fabulous cocktail bar. Also just a stone's throw to Hyde park, fantastic location

Good location. Friendly and kind staff. The cleanliness of the rooms needs to be reviewed. The breakfast was really not good. There was nothing. The second day, I didn't even go there

My wife and I had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. We were warmly welcomed by Hassan and the check in process was smooth. Breakfast comprised of halal dietary which was a plus. Room was kept clean and tidy daily through out our 8-day stay at the hotel. Location wise is perfect as it is about 5 minutes walk to both Queensway and Bayswater station. It is also walking distance to Tesco, Halal eateries and coin laundry service. Thanks Hassan and colleagues for making our stay memorable. Hope to see you again!

La suite west genuinely made my birthday so special❤️I couldn’t be more grateful and I wish I had a chance to thank the team properly! They went above and beyond for me by providing complimentary wine, balloons and a personalised card. My room was perfect! You can tell the management really takes care of not only their residents but also the team as all of the staff were extremely kind, generous and a positive atmosphere to be around. If I could give 10 stars I would! Will absolutely be staying here again and recommending to everyone

We had a perfect stay at this hotel! The room was very nice, big and clean (the bathroom looks really fabulous + there is a Nespresso machine). The location is perfect, near Hyde Park, the tube and so many restaurants and shops. The staff was very welcoming and nice. We did not take the breakfast. We highly recommend it! We will come back for sure.

I love this hotel LA SUITE WEST. It’s in a good location, it’s small, and quiet and I really like the boutique style rooms. The beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly. Faisal is a fantastic senior manager and helped me so much with everything! Henna kindly welcomed me on arrival and was fantastic on reception! Mohammed really helped me too! The staff are friendly & helpful and overall for me it’s a fantastic experience! Amin is great with my luggages and really looks after me every time I stay. Thanks a lot!

Do not stay here. The location is great but the experience is horrible. They gave us a room in a basement with barely any lights and no window. The fire alarm goes off twice a day. You can hear heavy sewage noises all night. Not worth it. This is not a cheap hotel, it’s just a cheap experience.

  • 1/5 Patrick F. 1 year ago on Google
The staff does not communicate with each other, especially when there is a problem. AC stopped working, reluctant to provide a new room when very warm. Staff came up with a subpar solution which beat sleeping on the street but when manager found out the next morning, he chastised me, the guest and accused me of wrong doing. Then interrogated me about which of his staff provided the solution of whom I had no clue what the persons name was. Awful experience. Manager very disrespectful. Keep looking.

We arrived early in the morning, and had check in time at 2pm. We got the room 1 hour before and was happy for that. Unfortunately the room was outside the hotel, (you have to go outside to get in to the reception), and that is something that expeccialy i do not prefere. The bathroom was very nice And clean, but the main room seems very old, it does also look a little bit dirty on the floor, (carpets). We also thought that we had 24 hour service at ordering food etc, but everything was closed - Even though we went to the reception to buy example water or soda. Unfortunately breakfast was also bad, and it did not taste any good at all. All in all, descent hotel and Okay location. Also very loud here.

  • 4/5 Gary N. 4 years ago on Google
The receptionist were friendly. The rooms are clean but a little worn but best of all the locations is great with 2 tube stations a stone throw away. Although there are 2 lifts but it still had lots of stairs to go to the rooms. It is a restaurant in the premises but never seen it patronised. Anyway lots of restaurants just outside for your meals.

One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. My wife and I while visiting for our Anniversary were allocated a Lower Ground Room that was dark, damp, musty with covered windows. The owalls were damaged with chipped paint and behind the bed were huge holes with raw plugs sticking out of the walls. The management were not sympathetic to our situation at all and after battling with them for 2 hours from 11pm (Check In) to 2am we were offered a free vegan breakfast. 🤦🏻‍♂️ The Manager I have since heard is not the brightest. Basically the business model is money first customer second. No refunds or discounts. I urge anyone considering this hotel not to risk it. Stay well away!!.

It all started very well. The entrance and reception are very beautiful . The staff was very helpful and nice. But this is where it stops. Our room (nr. 007) was on the lower ground floor, had no view and only a tiny window. The room could be refreshed a bit, offered only a small closet and you can hear the tube rolling nearby. The bathroom was clean but there was a slight smell of sewer. There was a sofa in the room but it looked worn out and not very clean. Very disappointed. Maybe the upstairs rooms are better. It’s a pity because the location is perfect and the staff is very friendly. I’ll definitely not return

Great location 3 min walk from Queensway tube station and surrounding areas, perfect locatiom. The room was nice, stayed in the junior suite, although it seemed a bit small, not sure what the smaller rooms would feel like. Cups, with tea and coffee etc were sealed in zip bag, as well as the remote controls for tv, the tv display and the ipod dock, and the toiletries in line with government guidelines due to covid 19.

The pictures are way better than the reality. I've been surprised when I arrived at the hotel. Indeed, the room was very small while being a Superior Room. It was also quite noisy. The hotel itself lakes some renovation, there are some old carpets that do need changes. There are some cool points though : the bathroom was great with heated floor and the tube is right across the street. Other than that, I believe the hotel is pricy for the quality it offers.

They closed down , I kept calling for years but no one answer only left message under refurbishment, it’s surprising still have a review few months ago! I have booked it but no way to ask for refund

We had a beautiful stay here this weekend. It was everything I had hoped it would be. The staff were universally lovely and welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed and classy, and the rooms were beautifully styled and had everything we needed. The food was exceptional and we would highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant. The only small thing was that the sound from other rooms and outside was quite loud, but in the end that didn't much matter because everything else about our stay was so great!
