I have been attending Alison's classes for at least 5 years. She is an excellent teacher, she is knowledgeable about anatomy and the kind of effects that Pilates has on the body. She also remembers any problems that class members may have and is very careful that no one ever damages themselves.

I joined a beginners class with Alison after a couple of years with back problems. The classes give a wide variety of exercises and Alison gives good clear instruction. There are different classes as you progress and I've also found it handy that there are a few locations including virtual. I'd highly recommend, it's been really beneficial for my back and general flexibility/strength.

I attend Alison's bone Health class to help treat osteoporosis and reduce falls risk . It is a fantastic class as we cover all aspects of bone fitness and spine flexibility and bone loading exercise to stimulate new bone growth which is needed in postmenopausal women and also men with risk factors for osteoporosis. I cannot recommend Alison highly enough as she is very knowledgeable with a lot of experience and facilitates alternative exercises to each individual if anyone has medical issues . The classes are always fun too as Alison has a lot of positive energy which always leaves me feeling uplifted when I leave her classes. I believe everyone over 60 could benefit from this class.

First time in ages since I have really enjoyed exercise! The hour goes so fast! Alison is so knowledgeable, explaining everything fully so I can be sure of getting the most out of the class. No two lessons are the same so keeps me really interested. Since I've been peri menopausal I have found this amazing for increasing my posture, flexibility, strength and breathing!!! Highly recommend

My husband and I have attended Alison's classes for a few years. We started off at the Meanwood class; we're currently doing the 'Virtual Thursdays' online class, which fits in well with work commitments. A recording is also available each week, which is handy if we can't make the live class, or we're super-keen and we want to repeat the live class at a later date! Alison is an excellent instructor - very knowledgeable, experienced, encouraging, down-to-earth and friendly. Great attention to detail and able to convey technical info in plain English. Highly recommended.

I have been having sessions with Alison for 3 years after having issues with my knees and tennis elbow. She is an excellent, knowledgeable pilates teacher who has helped strengthen the relevant muscles which has relieved my symptoms. I often visit my elderly mother and she has been very understanding when I have needed to change or cancel sessions. I had a recent issue with my back and have been able to continue my classes due to Alison adapting my exercises until my back recovered. Would most definitely recommend!

I have been going to Alison's pilates class for years . She makes them fun and informative . As I am getting older I find doing pilates really helps keep the body flexible and I highly recommend Alison's class. It is great to have the option of a virtual class too which caters for all abilities and Alison will send you the recording afterwards if you want to do it again!

I have been having one to one pilates lessons with Alison for around 6 years and have gained so much from my hourly sessions with her each week. Alison is very knowledgable and experienced and creates a detailed, personalised plan for me which incorporates exercises on the reformer and wunda chair, mat work and strength work. I have noticed a visible improvement in my strength and flexibility since starting my pilates journey with Alison and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone interested in starting one to one or group classes.

I attend the online Pilates Leeds classes and I find they really work for me. I have postural and neck problems and these classes help me to manage these and keep moving. Even though the classes are online Alison makes sure you are doing everything correctly. It is great I can get the benefits of attending Pilates classes but from the comfort of my own home.

I have been going to Alison for 1:1 sessions in the studio for a number of years. Alison uses her knowledge and extensive experience to devise exercise programs that are suited to my specific needs. As a result I feel that my strength, mobility and flexibility have all improved.

I have had five 1:1 Pilates sessions with Alison Plant and found them to be a perfect introduction to Pilates. I was nervous about joining a class as I thought I wouldn’t be able to complete the exercises so chose this route. I needn’t have worried, Alison listens, develops a plan and encourages you to be able achieve results whatever your ability. Very knowledgeable, professional and patient with a little humour to put you at ease. I look forward to joining her group classes. I highly recommend her 100%.

I have attended Alison's virtual Pilates classes since Lockdown in 2020 and I have always thoroughly enjoyed them. As I work mainly from home, it is so convenient to do this class from the comfort of my own home. Alison demonstrates all the Pilates moves and provides feedback to anyone who might be doing it slightly wrong. I love Alison's teaching style and friendly attitude. The virtual Pilates class is one of the highlights of my week and I feel it is so important to try and be as supple as possible, especially when sat in front of a desk all day long. I would highly recommend Alison's classes. Shirley

Alison classes have been brilliant. My cycling and running has been immeasurably more enjoyable since starting her expertly tailored Pilates sessions. I used to suffer from significant back pain but find the weekly lessons help bring my focus to core activity and being more aware of my range and how it impacts on my ageing self. They are really enjoyable, challenging and helpful. Great teaching.

Starting a pilates class was the best thing I did this year and my only regret is not plucking up the courage sooner. Alison’s beginner class is friendly and encouraging. Alternatives are given so you can try more but are not pushed beyond what you are comfortable to try. Always come away feeling great. Brilliant.

I was looking for an exercise class that would help my flexibility, posture, balance and strength, without being too intense or intimidating! I have osteoporosis as well, so Alison's bone health class is perfect! Alison is a great teacher, the classes are positive and fun, I always leave feeling good and want to keep doing the exercises at home because they are definitely helping.

Alison Plant is an outstanding Pilates instructor. She is very friendly and we do different things each week. All my muscles have improved from going to her classes over a number of years. I always feel better in myself after a class. When we get something wrong she shows us personally what to do, without telling us off!

Back Care Course: After major surgery and too many years of a desk-bound job, I was experiencing chronic back pain that took a good hour to subside after waking up. Alison's lessons helped me sit and stand correctly, and provided a progressive, daily exercise regimen that targeted my problem areas and gave me strength and confidence. The pain has reduced by about 80%, and it is far more manageable now without drugs. Would recommend.

Alison has been my Pilates instructor for several years now. I've remained a pupil for her excellent clear instructions, great atmosphere in the classes and an appropriate touch of humour ! Always feel better after attending, both physically and mentally and have an improved posture ! No problem with my back for all the years I've practiced Pilates. She is great at noticing little issues with each of her clients and helps us to correct and improve. Alison is very encouraging, couldn't wish for a better teacher !
