Excellent location and very easy to find along Bus Route 66, which stops outside the Hotel. The lobby is great and the staff are helpful and generally friendly and don't mind you bringing outside food or beverages to your room. Their bar has plenty of choice. The room was very clean and has all the facilities and is beautifully decorated. Had very good sleep and was refreshed and happy when I left. Will be coming back if back in Birmingham.

Stayed here as I was attending a conference next door. I visit Birmingham often and in future will choose this hotel to stay in. I was pleased with my room and staff were great. There was only a slight blip on arrival as the rooms were not ready. I have a disability and wasn't feeling too great, I was well looked after & had a coffee. Would highly recommend.

Lovely big room, modern and clean. The bathroom was also nice with a powerful shower. Nice touches like take away cups in the room. As downsides the WiFi was not working in my room and the car park is a few minutes walk and not free for guests

Lovely modern hotel and the staff were really helpful and polite. Very clean and had the urban room up-grade which was worth the extra. Would definitely stay again and good choice for breakfast.

I stayed over at this hotel for the first time this week and was impressed with my stay. The hotel is nicely decorated and feels modern, bathroom was great as well. In terms of location it is very convenient. It was a 10 minute walk to the bullring and leaving the car at the millennium point car park was £10.30 for 24 hours which is cheap for Birmingham city centre. Would definitely stay here again

We stayed here for 1 night as we were attending a birthday party at the Eastside conference rooms next door. I stayed with my husband and 2 children (7yo and 2yo) in an Urban Large Guest room with 2 King beds. Check in was busy but quick. The staff were, professional and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and decor of the room. We had a nespresso machine and bottled water for each of us in the fridge. Dressing gowns and slippers were hung in the wardrobe. I also had the best nights sleep as the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was varied and good. They had oat milk and you could request fried eggs. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here when we saw Bruce Springsteen at Villa Park. The hotel was lovely and clean, air conditioned, spacious and modern feeling. We were able to check in early and the reception staff were wonderful. We are in the bar and I was impressed with a choice of three vegan options. I had the veggie burger which was incredible. Reasonably priced and the food was presented with care and tasted amazing. The hotel ordered us a taxi to the venue which cost just under £10 and took about 10 minutes. The room was lovely and clean and a really comfy bed. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were available in the shower as well as tissues, soap and body lotion. Breakfast on the Saturday morning was served from 7am - 11am. We came down around 8:15am and there was plenty of choice. Staff continued to be exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I requested two vegan sausages and mushrooms and these were brought to my table promptly. The buffet hot breakfast was all hot and well stocked. There were easy to use tea/coffee machines and a choice of almond, oat or soya milk. I would recommend this hotel again as it was such a lovely experience and really made our night away special

I love this place. I've been here a few tines for conferences and it's one of my favourite conference centres in the UK. I just wish the food was a little hotter. I didnt require any of the equipment but this place is also incredibly accessible for guests that require additional support. They deserve recognition for their facilities.

Wasn’t able to check in early which is unfortunate but won’t hold that against the hotel as it usually starts 3pm everywhere. When I eventually did check in, got given a room only to find out it was taken already. Went down to reception and turns out the staff member put a completely different number though it was by accident. Rooms were very nice and stylish, nice walk in shower. The bed was quite comfortable as well. Would come back here if I was in Birmingham.

Comfy bed, nice clean hotel room, really friendly staff and I loved the idea of the 24/7 snack station down below in reception too. Breakfast was amazing apart from the eggs, just seemed like they’d been sat there a while but everything else was spot on!

Speaking as a Titanium member (102 nights in 2022), I had the pleasure of staying in this Marriott property. Upon arrival, Burton was very friendly, prompt and responsive, immediately recognizing my loyalty and status. The room was clean, well maintained and comfortable. The gym was very nice as well. Next to Aston University. Highly recommended.

The good points; the hotel is lovely, great facilities, immaculately clean, really friendly staff, spacious rooms, super comfortable beds! Nice bar area with pool table, fantastic food and good value for money and a great breakfast. Also, I've never had a better shower! Even at home! The nagging issues; I stayed on the fourth floor and the call elevator buttons weren't working properly, I often had to go up to go down. The area (Aston) is a little grim, but that's subjective I guess. Great for my stay given my business but about a good 20 mins walk from the heart of the city. Sometimes if it was busy, dinner was bedlam. On one night I went down to eat at 1930, got told to return at 2030, ended up getting my meal at 2200. To be fair they offered to refund it without me even asking and gave me free beers so I was happy with that remedy. All in all four stars for now. I've booked again so it can't be bad! If they fix the little annoying bits it'd be a 4.5 (location being the only thing stopping me from giving five).

Hotel seems new. Bright, contemporary lobby; open-concept bar off to the side with lighter fare menu (we had a couple of apps there, and were the only customers during that hour). Restaurant also on lobby level. (We didn’t see anyone eating there, although they do offer a buffet breakfast for an extra charge.) Room was lovely. Shower was spectacular! It’s a fairly easy 15-minute walk to The Bullring. My biggest complaint: the pillows. They’re those tiny, airy, thin things. There’s no amount of folding and fluffing, or stacking many together that brings your head up any higher than the mattress itself. A good night’s sleep is impossible when you’re not comfortable.

Walking distance from city centre, friendly staff, modern and comfortable room with large shower, coffee machine, good TV and fridge. I slept really well. Was visiting for P!nk concert was easy to get around and food was still available to order after returning from the event and also has a nice chilled atmosphere in the bar.

Staff are lovely and welcoming. There was a queue at check in but the staff in attendance dealt with it swiftly. Lobby area was busy but relaxed. Food at the Tempo restaurant was good and there was the option to take your food to your room, although room service option was unavailable. Room was ok but felt a little cramped. Was allocated an accessible room albeit not required for my stay. Great walk in shower and bathroom. 20 min walk from New Street station

The hotel was lovely. Not the most facilities but it did the job for a little staycation. Nice quite location which was close to everything and the people were lovely. I do need to note however that the breakfast is slightly limited. But aside from that amazing stay. Abud was lovely - checked me in and made sure I had a lovely view and room. Great guy.

Very nice hotel. We stayed in one of the suites, and the layout was designed very well. Spacious. Convenient for families. Service was always prompt and very friendly. Breakfast was what one would expect from a buffet, with additional options available on demand. We always liked Aloft as an affordable option that doesn’t disappoint. Staying first in Stuttgart and now in Birmingham. We liked this one better. Seemed very fresh and modern as well. Some pointed out the area. It does feel a little off the beaten path, but for those who like to walk that shouldn’t be a problem. No immediate sights, since it’s basically a campus area, but we actually found it to be a plus, since it’s reasonably quiet. Well, at least in April. We walked late in the evening several times and it felt safe as well. The city is just 15 min walk away for those who’d like some sightseeing.

It's a wonderful hotel. My daughters said the breakfast was delicious.. Really recommend. Not many varieties of food other times.. The room is sound proof, but the hotel was lovely

Very nice modern hotel that's quiet and clean. Staff were really welcoming and helpful we had a bottle of wine on arrival which was lovely and we both enjoyed our breakfast in the morning. We would definitely return to this hotel now I know where it is. I say that because I thought the hotel was closer to the train station it's about a 20 minute walk I would recommend getting a taxi from new street I'm familiar with Birmingham so I chanced it but I got lost and had to use Google maps took me to a uni camp and I thought this can't be it! I was wrong it's literally around the corner from a student campus taxi from the hotel back into the pubs It only cost us £6 so it wasn't a big deal.

Nice hotel to stay in. Decor is funky, staff is friendly even tho it felt like they didn’t have enough staff and had to hop from one place to another. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Nice spot to stay in a quieter area as it’s a quarter away by walk from the busy city centre.

Such an easy review to write. Rooms clean, facilities great etc etc. Now for the real reason for the review. The staff are outstanding and by that I mean all staff so it’s leaves me little room left to relay just how much some staff go beyond outstanding but here it goes. The restaurant manager, the waitresses the bar staff all superb but a special appreciation to the evening staff the lovely ladies at reception, the night manager who absolutely gets what hospitality should be (that includes all her team including security) I’ve stayed at many hotels and this one takes pole position in the people that work there and run it category. The only way I can think to explain it is if you were to imagine your best friend owns a hotel and invites you to stay several nights… that’s how they look after you. On a side, this was our first visit to Birmingham and our take away regards what we experienced was lovely, everyone friendly, city is bustling, so much positive energy. Only one visit but I’ve got to say… I like it more than London. Thank you all at Aloft Birmingham.

Stayed at the Aloft apartments over the weekend and was very impressed with the level of service provided. The check in process was very fast (considering it was the world cup match and there was a lot of people in the reception and bar area) the lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice I was impressed with the design and overall just everything about the apartment. We didn't book for breakfast so I'm not sure how the breakfast is but if the apartments/staff are 10/10 I'm sure the breakfast would've been too:) The location was nice and quite, we didn't hear noise from any other apartments within the building. Only issue is parking even though its not that big of an issue if you are willing to walk literally 5 mins away to a secure car park across the traffic lights then your fine, but there is no car park for the apartment itself but like I said a 5min walk to a secure car park does no harm. Overall a lovely place to stay if your ever travelling through Birmingham. Would definitely recommended staying here and will definitely be revisiting!
