This man is brilliant! Amazing storytelling and kept us all entertained! I really can't rate this tour enough. Seriously, York you are a true gem! Everyone we meet are lovely and Dorian was really top notch and even took time to talk to us at the end. Thank you so much!

Looking for a great ghost tour of York then look no further. Dorian Deathly knows his stuff and really puts on a show. Was a great evening very friendly and enjoyable. Oh and he also accepts four legged friends too! 10/10 would tour again.

Would have to be the best presenter for ghost tours in York. Crossed paths with a few of the others during our stay and none had the presence of Dorian. Always in character, making us laugh uncontrollably throughout whilst providing interesting tales of horror as we walked the streets. Glad we chose Dorian, definitely can’t go wrong!

Wife and I went on the tour tonight. We had a great time! Dorian delivered a great mix of storytelling, some theatrics, and comedy. Very entertaining with a lot of detailed stories. A must do if visiting York!

If you can only do one tour while in York...this IS IT! 👻 Great walking tour of York & the stories were interesting & informative. The tour guide was GREAT! 😃 WE did this tour the week before Halloween & it was again ..Great! We even found one of the York Cats (see photo)! Make sure to get your ticket/reservation ahead of time, as it is very popular.

What a fantastic tour. The perfect mix of history, spookiness and comedy. Even on a rainy Friday evening in February we had great fun, and throughly enjoyed our guide. Highly recommend- you’ll have a blast.

We went on the ghost walk on Sunday 23 October 22 at 18:00. We had a fantastic time from start to finish. All the stories were brought to life brilliantly with a comedic and appropriate spooky tone for all ages to enjoy. The tour was conducted by Dorian Deathly and despite him saying at the end how ill he felt, you wouldn't have known by the performance he delivered. Everyone in our family (including the dog) enjoyed it immensely. Special shout out for Filchard,who has to be the most funniest, disturbing and yet the most endearing character ever. Would definitely recommend and we will be booking again.

What an experience. Amazing, fun, theatrical, audience participation and our tour guide was superb. Dafydd (if that's how you spell it) captured our imagination and took us to the dark depths of times gone by in York with his spooky tales. Well worth seeing. Highly recommended 10/10.

Fantastic , I went alone so I enjoyed the experience a lot ,suspension was excellent and the stories of ghosts was fascinating.

Dr. Dorian was absolutely fantastic! Knowledgeable, funny, witty, dramatic, and thoroughly entertaining. I will 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting York. Not even the random drunk who crashed (literally) into us at the end could break Dorian's stride.

My wife and I were in York for a few days celebrating our wedding anniversary and I must say that Dorian Deathly's tour was one of the highlights! A very entertaining and enjoyable time was had by all. Highly recommended!

Dorian gave us a great first night in York when we joined his tour. He was highly engaging and personable, and the tour was full of humour and interesting tidbits. He was also so dog friendly and my little pug was enrapt by the walk and the tales.

Fantastic spooky tour with our guide Dante who managed to get in a good few jumpscares because we were all listening so intently! Such a great way to see parts of York we wouldn't have found by ourselves. Loads of families in our group, the kids hung on Dante's every word so perfect for all ages. Highly highly recommended.

Managed to book this tour last minute this evening and so glad i did. It was very informative and funny, and the spooky tales were delivered in such a way that you couldn't help but get drawn in to York's dark past. The tour guide was brilliant and got everyone involved - there was about 25 people on our tour but you always felt involved and could see and hear everything all the time. If you are staying in York, I would 100% recommend doing this tour. A really great way to spend an evening.

Great tour - I would highly recommend! Our tour guide was Dante and he was fantastic! He stayed in character the entire tour, he was informative, dramatic, and darkly hilarious. We stopped in several areas and heard many stories - it was the perfect length for a walking tour in my opinion :)

Highlight of my trip to York was Deathly dark tours. Our guide (welsh guy),was absolutely brilliant. Informative and probabaly one of the funniest human beings I've come across in a long time.ideal for grown ups and kids alike. I recommend anyone to go on this tour and who knows , you may even get 10 spooky points!!!.

My family’s first ghost walk after years of resistance due to a fear of the supernatural. But this enjoyable tour plus the wonderful guide who mixed his narration with comedy and the macabre made them wanting to do more of such tours. And isn’t that a vindication of how good the tour is. Go for it. Will not disappoint.

Booked on a whim by my other half who knows I love ghost stories and dark history of places, this did not disappoint! Had a lovely evening learning about the spooky darkside of York.

I’m usually not a tour person but I booked this last minute and it far exceeded my expectations! It’s not your typical tour, it’s more like a walking performance which made it entertaining, spooky , and fun. Our guide was theatrical and a truly gifted storyteller. highly recommended !

We had so much fun. We visited on 16/09 at 18:00. Our guide "Dante" was amazing as well as his ability to improvise. The stories were entertaining and we manage to see a lot of places during that time. I totally recommend it. I shared an Instagram story in order for more people from Greece to get that experience. From start to finish, thoroughly enjoyable Dafydd is an exceptional tour guide, quick witted, entertaining and engaging (not many people can get me to howl like a wolf on command....) if you don't book this tour you deserve to perish......

This tour was absolutely amazing! It’s a great opportunity to hear terrifying stories of the city but also to learn about its history. At the beginning, as with my partner we are not english native speakers, we were worried about not understanding the accent, but our guide spoke a very clear english and was easy to understand. The only con is that I think the tour could include some few more stories, but probably one always will feel that there are some missing stories in a tour like this.

Loved it. Dante is a killer storyteller! He creates a whole scene for you to really be immersed in the story. Do this the first night you get to town- let’s you see the city, gives you a bit of “history” and local quirky bits. A good hour and a half, definitely worth the money!

I expected good things after reading all the five-star reviews but our tour with Dante exceeded expectations. It was well-managed from start to finish and our entire group was clinging on to his every word. The tour was hilarious, spooky and informative, a winning combo. The 1h 30m run time absolutely flew by. Can't thank Dante enough for making the tour an absolute highlight of our trip to York, he's an incredible asset to your team.
