Worst Christmas meal ever!!! I'm being generous giving one star. We were a party of 20. The food was atrocious. At least half of us sent meals back as they were cold. Some veg was raw. Beef Wellington was raw. After 2 hours 3 of our party hadn't even received their main course. The manager just wasn't interested, no apology. A fellow diner saw what was happening and cancelled his booking for 20 people on Christmas Day. We walked out when there was no sign of any of us getting Desserts. If you are thinking of visiting the Hunsworth during the festive season, a word of advice DON'T.

Enjoyed buffet style English breakfast and dinner here during my 2 night stay. Great attitude from all staff encountered. Ribs for dinner was very nice!

MASSIVE HATS OFF TO ALL THE STAFF. This establishment is well understaffed for the size of the place and for the amount of guests this place is rated for. At both breakfast and evening meal, the quality and service was exemplary and even with the understaffing, the team managed to maintain standards. The hierarchy need to make better efforts to recruit.

Visited for lunch for the first time today. Very good and friendly welcome. Very good range in the menu and really excellent value for the meal deal. A very good range and choice in the wines, spirits and cocktails too. There was a wait to be served our food but, to be fair, they did appear to have two large parties in, which demonstrates how popular the restaurant is locally. When we received the food it was excellent. I had the chicken and mushroom pie, which was honestly the best that I have ever tasted. Superb pastry with a really tasty filling. Everything that a pie should be. But then again they have won awards for their pies and so I had high expectations which were definitely met and even exceeded! Unfortunately the main course was sufficient for lunch so we were unable to manage a dessert. They do have a good selection so hopefully next time. Excellent food, very nice staff and exceptionally good value prices. What’s not to like?

Would absolutely give 10 stars if we could the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They met all our needs and more they went above and beyond after fitting us in at last minute due to being let down by somewhere else and as a family of 9 at gone 8pm with 2 fussy kids and a baby they were an AMAZING. We will definitely be back soon. Kim and Kurt were great and couldn’t have done any more for us, they were so friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Not a very Xmas atmospheric place. The waiter was the best of the place. We were having the Xmas dinner. The food ..I had prawn cocktail which was still slightly frozen . There was plenty of turkey that was nice and tender. I wouldn't go there again . They were not prepared for serving a Christmas Dinners.

We had breakfast there this morning. The staff were brilliant, very friendly, welcoming and professional, nothing was too much for them, they were great. Would definitely go back again. My mum and twins loved it, it was my mum's first visit.

Big shout out to the manager Johnathan who was fantastic at the bar. Nice young lad who made me feel welcome, served with great enthusiasm and the wine selection was lovely

Brilliant job at making the evening pleasant, even with a toddler in tow! The food came out in a timely manner and was great quality and didn't break the bank. The staff make you feel welcome and did anything to help me keep the little one entertained! The crownie dessert was amazing.

The food was amazing. The staff even better. We was greeted by a very friendly lady called Kim. She made us very welcome. Our waiter Miled was heart warming and friendly. The food arrived in a timely manner and was perfectly cooked and hot. The chef came out and produced our desserts to us and was so joyful. The team are a credit to the company. Will certainly be back

Dreadful visit today. The food was the worst I have experienced here, very sad. I know they were busy, we waited for the various buffet dishes to arrive whilst the rest of our food went cold. Sprouts that were like cannon balls amongst other things but the worst was I politely mentioned this as our plates were collected and I had barely finished speaking and the young man just turned and walked off. No communication, almost to the point of rudeness. My colleague with me was also shocked at this. I didn't want a refund or anything but it was feedback to management however I am now angry at this customer treatment that I have sadly had to leave this review when I would have preferred it to be a happier one. I won't be back and I will take this up with management next week.

Came here as a party of four for pre Xmas breakfast. As it was during the week and quiet it was cooked to order. We all had different breakfast but it was all cold. Some one asked if it was all OK in which we replied it was cold. He said he could re do our order but as we had already eaten some it would have been too much. How can cooked to order be cold?

One off the worse places I’ve ever visited! Took 30 mins for my starter to come, garlic bread. It came and the 30 seconds later my main arrived, said I’m not ready for it, took it away, then obviously kept it warm, served it back to me cremated, asked for in medium rare. Table wasn’t set and had to ask for a napkin. Served me another well done and full of full of oil, chips cold, onion rings greasy. Wouldn’t refund it, said as it was booked via premier inn on their desk so had to be a refund from them. Spoke to Premier Inn, he called his manager and said I should have been refunded by the pub and to call premier inn guest relations I’m the morning. The chap at the premier in reception was very helpful and customer service great. If you are going to stay at premier inn don’t do the meal deal with this pub. No chance I’m going for breakfast in the morning.

I have been going here for years but since all the nice good staff have left it's gone down hill. The lady on carvery on Sunday had an attitude problem but this isn't the first time I have experienced this from her. I understand that they are short staffed but there is no need for the attitude. Wouldn't recommend going these days as all staff that are there are not very welcoming. Only thing that was good was the food.

Good food, staff was really nice. Couldn't fault it if I tried. Staff was really patient with my son who's a very fussy eater, made him 3 different types of eggs. Will definitely come back.

Exactly what you would expect from a Brewers Fayre. Food was nice although was cold. We had a carvery, so unsure how long the food had been out, but to be fair they heated them up in the microwave when asked. Quality of meat was really good.

For our dinner, (permier inn meal deal,) I had fish and chips and my husband had the steak. Whilst the portions they gave was good value for money, I was disgusted to find at breakfast the next morning, all the plates and cups that were put out, were all unwashed !!! They were full of grease, still holding the staines of the last main course the night before. Really vile. 🤮 The waiter told me the dishwasher had broken down, it wasnt working efficiently........so.......!!!!! rather than someone actually washing them by hand (don't we do that anymore?????) they decided to put out the plates as they last were. Really let the experience down 👎🏽 We won't be eating there again.....gross.

Staff were very welcoming and polite. The guy doing the carvery actually asked me how my day was going which was very much a shock to me as usually at other places you might get a smile or a hello but not an actual personal interaction. So well do to that guy, he was also very informative about how the carvery worked really refreshing to see someone so invested in the customers. Food was all cooked to a high standard. If were ever passing that way again we'll definitely be dropping in for another carvery.

Not good. Ordered at 7:20pm, Waited until 9:35pm for food but then to be told they have lost my order and would make it straight away. Had to change original order as meal would have been too heavy for sleeping on the night. Received food at 9:45pm. Part of meal missing. Not offered any dessert as kitchen was closed. Absolute shambles. Felt a bit sorry for front of house staff, as getting flack off every customer in the restaurant. One customer was in tears whilst eating, as evening was totally ruined due to delays. Brewers fayre need to sort themselves out as not good. I think every customer who dined tonight should at least get half of the cost of their meal reimbursed.

Christmas day lunch worst ever!!!! Total shambles from start to finish. Arrived for 4.30 sitting and was 5.15 when seated, 😤 no complimentary glass of fizz on arrival, bar staff abrupt and miserable. Waiting staff were sparse and didn't appear to know what tables were serving or what they were doing. Not a Christmas atmosphere at all. Waiting for starters for another 20 min we bought crisps as were so hungry, carvery was a joke beef had more or less run out only scraps left gammon was almost gone too,the vegetables were a joke..most half empty.. roast potatoes mushed up and unappetising yorkies over cooked gravy empty and sauces empty. Had to ask for desserts, also poor standard just thrown on plates. Don't know what has happened to this once very good restaurant but quality of Christmas day lunch left much to be desired and value for money rate it zero. Where was the Manager??? Would never go to this establishment again ruined Christmas day meal... diabolical 🤬🤬refunds should be offered to all bookings

Usually a great place to eat, but, oh dear, don’t know what was going on in the kitchen. It took 35 minutes for our food to arrive. My fish and chips was cold, I don’t mean lukewarm, it was stone cold. I sent it back and it took another 25 minutes for a hot replacement which meant that I basically had to eat alone as my two friends had almost finished by the time my hot food arrived. As I have Autism Spectrum Disorder, I felt I had to rush my food and felt very uncomfortable as I felt I was being watched. One of the friends I was with has a vegetarian diet and, as something I don’t usually look for, was unaware that there is a very limited vegetarian selection on the menu. She chose the cheese and onion pie but the gravy that came with it was definitely not vegetarian (according to my friend). There should be a vegetarian section on the menu, not dotted among the other sections. Service was very ropey too. No server came to check our table until we had finished. Previous visits have been most acceptable, so let’s just hope this was a glitch

Typical.Brewers Fayer. Good food, good prices and the staff are pleasant and attentive. My wife has to use walking sticks and we were asked if we wanted a table closer to the bar than our reserved table was. Little things like this mean alot to us. Thank you

Well it used to be a great pub but I was took my wife mother father in law for a treat, and was met by a half dressed girl behind the bar both breast exposed and her nipple exposed.. What? My mother in law noticed it but didn't say anything then a young lad at the bar was some much under the influence of drugs he fell off his stool smashed a glass and throw up ill never go again. Ho, the food was OK

Excellent service from all 4 staff members that we actually interacted with, well informed of the minor menu missing dishes, kind and courteous. Bar service by Nicola (I think that was her name) was great and the food was delicious, steak cooked perfectly etc Would certainly recommend a visit

Main menu meals between £11 and £15 but also offer menu 2 for £9.49. Dogs not allowed inside but we ate outside. Staff were lovely asking if dog had water and making a few visits outside just to stroke him. Parking free up to 3 hours, input car details on screen entrance. Food was good. Soft drinks a little pricey, coke £3.09 but same most eat out places. Would visit again.

Shocking food, shocking service. Had gammon egg and chips and the food was floating in grease! Daughter had burger but burger was overdone and missed her side off. Really slow service. Had most of kids starters missing and a few mains unavailable Disappointed as use to be amazing place.

This is a wonderful place to go and have food the quality is 2nd to none, the staff are so helpful and friendly and there is ample of choice when ever you go. I have only been for the breakfasts and I must say when you either have it from the buffet where you choose it all yourself or you have it ordered there is always ample for you to enjoy. I have never been for a lunch or an evening meal there but from what I am informed again it is first class. If you love a big belly busting breakfast then this is an absolute must for you there is so much choice you couldn’t complain. Disabled Access is absolutely perfect as there is no steps what so ever to hinder your way into this wonderful restaurant.
