The Lishi arts offer a lot more than just tai chi, though that is a big part of it. Be prepared to also learn some qigong, breathwork, flexibility, self defence and soft Kung Fu. It's an incredibly deep system of self care and is taught by great teachers, in a very welcoming, supportive environment.

A well rounded class that will get you feeling uplifted and curious about your inner experience. Great for those who want some added depth to their life whilst ticking the boxes for exercise and health. You have the benefit of some very experienced teachers and dedicated members, all of who are warm and welcoming

Really enjoyable class that has helped build my confidence and stamina no end. Everyone who attends the classes are really encouraging and helpful, and we have so much fun you forget it's exercise! The teachers are patient and kind, it's worth coming along just to see what it's like.

I didn't know what to expect when I started this class a few weeks ago. It is a mixture of different moves and exercises, suitable for everyone. I find the classes interesting because there are different exercises each week so one is never bored. Lucie, the teacher, is lovely and makes everyone feel welcome.

I love attending these classes. They helped me deal with my stress at work, improve my posture and I stopped having back pains. I feel stronger and my breathing has improved. I cannot recommend these classes enough.

The sessions in Crookes are a phenomenal. I cannot think of any other activity in my life similar to this. The session themselves are interesting, challenging, uplifting, artistic, functional, rewarding. Very difficult to make justice with words, since it is a 'doing' approach to these arts. Also people in there are create a great atmosphere and community. Always keen to share who they are and discover new exciting parts of themselves in each session. Perhaps one of the most unique features is that the benefits and joy lingers after the lesson. This is very rare for any other activity. Normally hours or even days after I feel the effects of the session. I feel more vital and relax at the same time. I would definitely advise anyone interested in any of this arts to come along an experience it will be exciting!

A very friendly class. Tai chi is only part of what we do. There's great variety in class activities so there's no chance of getting bored. It's tough and challenging at times but feeds my body, head and heart. I would encourage everyone to give it a go.

I started Tai-Chi class in Sep'2016 and i was not sure what i signed up for.. but to my surprise I found it really interesting, something new to learn. As they say learning never stops and same goes for Tai-Chi. I thoroughly enjoy each class, it is relaxing and new moves every-time. The slow movements really relaxes the body and mind. I have realised for the first time that the slow movements and focus can actually energise you compare to the physical pressure. I can connect Tai-Chi lessons to mindfulness no wonder it is called meditation in motion. Lucie the tutor is lovely and very friendly. It is a worthwhile experience, go for it :)
