We went to see the Eagles in concert for a 50th secret surprise from my partner ( amazing gift , amazing person!! ). Firstly the concert , although very pricey was absolutely stunning, on my bucket list and they didn't disappoint. Played all the old classics, were on over 2 hours and their harmonies are as good as ever. As for the Arena, its very well situated with easy transport links in the centre of Leeds. Entry was speedy and very well organised with loads of safety checks making you feel very well protected. The seating was a little tight on the legs but our view was centre stage on first level above ground floor seating so excellent view. Acoustically it was very good for a large venue. Aisles were wide, signposting good and all staff we encountered very friendly. Toilet facilities were numerous and very clean. Downsides were how extremely expensive drinks and food were but that could be said of many UK venues. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, although its safe to say I am bias as a huge huge Eagles fan.

Very impressed with the First Direct Arena in Leeds. Close to the City Centre, about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the station, lots of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops very close to the arena. Lots of staff on duty, so we didn't have to queue, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good seats with a decent amount of leg room, good view of the stage. Looking forward to our next concert there.

Visited to watch planet earth 2 live. Excellent show. Quick and reassuring security checks before entering the arena but I was underwhelmed by the lack of bars and merchandise shops inside. Bar prices were on the high side but to be expected.

It's the first direct arena I've been to. I don't know what's so direct about it but it was good and had lovely colours on it. The hives were mint and the offspring were also mint. Bob Vylan was also mint. All were inside the first direct arena and directly played a gig to me. I can't wait for the second direct arena.

A great venue for seeing great bands lime Simple Minds. It was slick but food and drink were poor at best. Beer was 7.50 a pint and could be better.

Decided a while ago to only book tickets here if I can stand as the seats near the stage tend to be very expensive and you are still pretty far from the stage. Standing is brilliant as there is a large wall behind you before you get to seats so feels like a small venue gig.

Brilliant venue - easy to get too and great sightlines. Booked the Laurent Perrier experience - worth every penny. Great food and brilliant service in the Black and White lounge

Saw The Script, supported by Ella Henderson with my two kids. Great venue, well organised and safe for all ages. The staff were really helpful, although the refreshments are on the pricey side I guess this is what you expect

A state of the art architectural structure, with 13,781 seating capacity. It's massive. Well decorated, well maintained rest room, well maintained area and comfortable seats.

A great place to visit. You don't stick to the floor! Spacing of seats are a bit snug it's really hard to let loose and dance without some stranger almost on top of you. My toes were trod on many times by the man next to me and the woman behind me kept catching my hair (yes I was sober). Staff were great, getting in and seated was no hassle, lots of places to get food and drink from inside. Overpriced but you would expect that at this sort of venue. Megga sized drinks which my friend was very happy about. Lots of facilities. The show itself was incredible quick set changes ect was a really great evening.

I have to say an amazing venue - sound is load enough without being painful. We were in a box which is a sublime experience, provided with food and drink throughout by the wonderful staff. parking is a bit of a pain, the legendary Leeds one way system makes things tricky but if you leave plenty of time before hand and don't leave straight afterwards its not a problem. Really enjoyed myself, if you get a chance to go - its well worth it.

Excellent venue! Nicely located in the heart of Leeds surrounded by a selection of good restaurants and bars! Security managed well and venue clean and well organised. Sound was excellent and design of the venue meant that most if not all had an excellent view. Sufficient toilets and east to access bars and merchandise stalls. The Cure were amazing to boot 👍🏼

Went to see Shania Twain and it was a perfect experience. The arena is smaller than most so I doubt if there is a bad seat anywhere. Being relatively small the sound was top notch and had a great atmosphere. Efficient staff with lots of smiles all round.

Wasn't enamored with the venue The acoustics were not as good as other venues I have been to, getting away was easy and staff / security were efficient and helpful, drinks priced as you would expect. Also make sure you get a low seat if you have issues with height the top of the stand is steep. having said all that Billy Idol was amazing 😁

We've been to this arena three times in Disabled ambulant access. Fantastic venue, great seats, toilet access. Friendly staff drink not badly priced. Loved it!

Visit for busted concert. Well managed for entrance which included bag checks. All staff were great and had good seats to watch the gig. Great night seeing them again (first concert I saw when a kid) and my kids had fun though tired towards the end.

Visited in October. Excellent staff. Great access. Place was rammed but absolutely no problems getting drinks, toilets etc... drinks expensive, annoyingly you can't keep your bottled water with a lid on, I get it but 😡. As for food etc... there's a 'spoons next door, so🤷 I've read comments about not being allowed phones, I think this depends on the artist you're seeing. We were allowed phones when we went but we have seen other artists where its strictly no filming/photos etc...

Great Arena. Well organised disabled parking on+site. Every seat has a good view of the stage. Escalators up to the top floors. Catering inside is limited to pizzas and overly spicy chips. Add some burgers and take the spices of the chips and they can have another star! Beer selection could be better, how about a doom bar instead of two very similar lagers? Lots of bars with short queues.

Loved the concert. Thought they would be queues but got in very quick as the staff knew what to do. Inside the place; toilets are well looked after and food and drink no long queues but expensive. This was expected. My seats were great too

An amazing concert hall. I definitely recommend visiting it. Very high level of security. Huge stage. Enormous hall. The sound is incredible. I was thrilled by this concert hall. The only thing I didn't like is that they allow bringing alcohol into the hall. People spill those plastic cups and can spill on you too.

Came from London to see Kendrick Lamar. The venue was brilliant. I've always been skeptical of arena venues as I prefer to be closer to the stage. Leeds First Direct arena has changed my opinion of arenas. It was a fantastic time and for the size of the place, there was still some intimacy with the performers. We were standing and even though we felt close to the stage, there was plenty of room to dance and move about. We had a great view. In reality we were far back, but there is a clear view from anywhere within the standing area. The drinks were fairly expensive but not ludicrously so. Fairly priced for an arena and as expected with a big venue like this. The bar was easily accessible, as were the toilets. Despite the queues, things moved quickly and we were never kept waiting for too long. Overall, I had an amazing experience. The Leeds crowd were good and the chanting made me laugh.

Very nice venue, big enough for me. The seats were in very good condition and the staff was lovely. You can get in and get out really quickly.

Went to see Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. The security staff were brilliant and the layout of the arena is so easy to navigate. The toilets were clean and spacious even at the end of the night. We had a bottle of water confiscated at the door which is understandable from a security point of view, but the staff told us like that you can get a pint of tap water (with ice) from the bar for free, which is what we did :)
