If you want to stay at a nice, comfortable, welcoming and nice staff....THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU SO DO NOT COME HERE STAY AWAYYYYYYYYYY. Firstly, the receptionist there was rude and awful. He was rude and didn't welcome us in at all! Secondly, once we got our rooms, we wanted to leave straight away. The first thing i wanted to was get a refund from how EXPENSIVE it was. The wallpaper was peeling off, the tv cord was cut so there was a high risk of a fire starting in my room if i turned the tv on, the beds were uncomfortable and there was no use of using a duvet and pillow since it didn't do anything! The floors were sticky and extremely dirty, you could instantly tell that there hadn't been a health and safety check up at this place, the rooms smelt like cigarettes. I woke up and started coughing, You could tell there had been people smoking because of the smell and because of all the burnt cigarette marks all over the windows and windowsill. Now onto the bathroom. The room i was staying in, the bathroom door wouldn't even close properly and the shower i had was TERRIBLE! The toilet seat didn't even fit the toilet and the light didn't work. After one night we wanted to escape. In the morning we packed our bags and left. As i was getting all our bags into the car, i smelt the fresh air and i have never loved fresh air that much in my entire life. I only gave this place 1 star because i couldn't give it 0 stars. Definitely not coming here again and i hope no one has to come here and experience what i have. Don't come here STAY AWAY.

Everything is damp, staff were useless, had no towels for a shower, the kettle was mould. We wasn’t even allowed a key to the room unless we paid a £20 deposit which was more than what the room was per person (cash only also so had to walk to the nearest cash machine). Overall just a disaster and shouldn’t even be classed as a place to stay. If you are reading this as you have booked or are booking to stay here. You will wish you had paid for a better hotel.

We had to ask for toilet paper. The bathroom was not clean and the room quite dirty. We book a "double room" but there was hardly space for two adults in that bed. Yes, yes, they have beds sizes on the web. But are you really going to read EVERY DETAIL when you book a "double room"?

DO NOT STAY HERE. terrible place and horrible staff. Was desperate for a room at 10pm. So i called them and was told a room is available for £50. When i arrived, was told its £80. I asked why i was quoted £50 over the phone and both gents denied that somebody quoted me £50. Looking at the reviews, im glad i never stayed there. STAY AWAY PEEPS!

Booked a double room at 3pm to arrive at 6pm, we was quoted £45. We then arrived at the hotel and was told there isn't any rooms available!! 10 mins later there was a double room ready in an hour but it will be £65!!!! The attitude and ignorance of this place is dreadful! Not to mention the state of the place and the smell!! WOW!! 🤮🤮 We then booked in at the halfway house down the road and to be honest it worked out for the better!! Brand new fresh clean rooms and polite welcoming friendly staff!

I've stayed in worse places... But I'm not sure when. Pretty much same as all the other reviews, it's damp, broken furniture, dirty carpets and rooms in a poor state of repair. On the plus side the TV worked, the bed was clean and the room was warm. There was a leak in the bathroom which dripped on the toilet which was nice. Would suggest you avoid it unless you have no other option. Reception pretty unwelcoming and seemed like it was hard work to be polite and check me in, tried to get a deposit for the room and key which seems very unwelcoming.

Well established fungus in the bathroom, bed soft and unsupportive. Reception staff who couldn't give directions to Fawlty Towers Northern branch. AND requesting a deposit for the key.....who normally rents their 'suites'?

The 2 young men I met on arrival were so helpful and found me a place to sleep and got to prepping the room even though fully fully booked as someone just left, no teli, very dated and furniture definitely needs replacing, paint and cleaning needed so so much but it is a big place and I hope this is maybe in process. With all that being said it asked me for 60 for the room online and I wasn't happy but needed rest so proceeded, on arrival cash was requested and only 50 instead, on sign outside 19.99 pp per room and this room was only just able to be offered as this, however in my at that time situation I honestly felt gratitude and a little dismay but I was desperate. I the next night requested a knife and fork and a some what abrupt man appeared and could not provide me with any as the kitchen was closed and that was that... I felt quite homesick by now .. the people are lovely mostly but the cost and the service need to be amended and honestly it could be so so so much better with very little change but just a little help .. I even cleaned the room I had like it was a crime scene in the hope they'd notice and think 🤔 good idea xx. They just need a little help xx

***WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED - AVOID*** With limited hotel options due to the cricket, I elected to stay here for one night in July 2023. The hotel itself seemed to be occupied and run by a family only - none of which were in any way helpful. They seemed surprised that we were there, despite booking. Here were some of the (appalling) highlights of my stay here: * Mould and damp all over walls * Beside lights don’t work * Blinds broken * Window smashed and covered with a piece of wood - unable to open * Tv bracket on wall but no tv on it * Actual TV on floor but cracked and broken * Cupboard broken and covered in dust * No hangers in cupboard at all * Telephone number penned onto wall which has been poorly washed off * Cobwebs in every corner * Mattress too big for bed * No duvet on bed * Only one towel between 2 * Shower only producing boiling water * No toilet roll * Old shampoo and gel bottles left in shower * Toilet wouldn’t flush properly * Carpet dirty * Fire alarm unit visibly broken * Smells of smoke * No Wi-Fi (as promised) * Bathroom light constantly buzzes

DO NOT STAY!! Arrived at the hotel late Friday night and the staff at reception seemed not to want to be there and didn’t seem interested at all. Asked for extra pillow and towel as booked for 2 people and only had one towel - got told the door was locked. Went back again in the morning pressed the bell for assistance nobody came within 5-10 minutes so had to leave. Came back and asked again got told the same that the door was locked. Eventually got given a towel. Multiple police officers in the hotel throughout the stay on the reception and appeared to be guarding a room. No tv remote. Not enough toilet roll. Decor was in poor condition and very outdated. Only good thing I can say is it provided somewhere to sleep and a shower (with very very bad pressure) and the room was relatively clean.

No redeeming features. The rooms bore fragrances of mould mixed with cigarette smoke. Electrical fittings had frayed cords. The walls were stained. Carpets were dirty and sticky. The shower didn't give good pressure and was only luke warm. Gave one star only because the system wouldn't allow no stars

I would rate this Hotel fully 5 stars. Got no reasons to dislike it. It has all the things that a wonderful hotel could have. Must try this once if you are here and you would be loving it.

Wouldn’t even give 1 star if possible as I (and 2 others, I had booked out two rooms for jubilee weekend!) will not be staying. Despite having a booking in place for 2 and a half months or so, I get a call on Saturday from a very rude, unhelpful man to say our booking has been cancelled, two weeks before arrival! They claim that the whole of the hotel has been booked out by Leeds City Council ‘for the homeless’ and provided no alternative. Absolutely disgusting!! Despite this, the booking is still showing on booking.com which makes no sense at all. We shall be following this up and if we find that you are gazumping the rooms because that weekend will be a busy one, we shall be reporting you to the local authorities.

😠 DO NOT LIVE HERE! We lived here for 15 months. Initially, we were pleased with renting a flat in the building but it soon became apparent the building is very noisy because most of the other flats are used for airbnb. Not so pleased when there's bass shaking the walls at 3am. The area is crime-ridde...
