Well
worth
a
visit!
The
gardens
have
been
beautifully
restored
and
look
fantastic.
The
fountain
garden
is
full
of
big
bold
planting
and
is
stunning.
The
hedges
on
the
boundaries
are
beautifully
shaped,
someone
is
clearly
great
at
topiary!
My
favourite
was
the
sunken
garden
area
near
the
pet
cemetery,
it's
on
various
levels
and
is
a
mixture
of
natural
stone
and
beautiful
plants.
The
outside
of
the
house
has
been
restored
and
looks
magnificent,
but
the
inside
has
been
conserved.
Walking
through
the
rooms,
you
can
see
the
full
story
of
the
house
and
the
family
that
owned
it.
It's
a
mixture
of
things
from
when
the
house
was
first
built
right
up
to
when
the
owners
died,
a
true
living
history.
So
interesting.
There's
also
a
good
cafe
with
plenty
of
seating
but
the
cafe
itself
is
small
and
has
few
staff
so
the
queue
gets
long.
The
only
negative
is
getting
there.
If
you're
using
public
transport,
the
nearest
bus
stop
is
in
Marr,
and
then
you
walk
for
1
mile
down
a
country
lane
with
narrow
verges.
