I went to Pollards after having tried and failed to get contact lenses at Vision Express. I struggled getting them in and out at Vision Express and was told that contact lenses weren't for me. The Pollards team managed to get me fitted and taking them in and out by myself on my first visit. The teaching, patience, professionalism and all round service was on a completely different level to that which I had experienced at Vision Express. I can't thank the Pollards team enough, having varifocal contact lenses is literally life changing! Thoroughly recommended! Thank you!

Always fantastic service from friendly staff who really know their stuff. Our first visit was after my daughter felt her eyes had changed and a well known high street optician said her prescription was stable. After seeing Fizz he did indeed find a change and my daughter could see much clearer with her new specs. Won’t go anywhere else for our eye care needs now. Great work team Pollards, thankyou!

My wife had her tested for the first time at Pollard's (after using others) and said when she came home that she felt for the first time ever relaxed after an eyesight test. This is down to the wonderful staff and fizz the optician who is so good and helpful.this is what a small business that you have to trust to do a good job should be and ALL the staff are very helpful in what can be a stressful time so next time you need new glasses/ contact lens remember this place.

Visited Pollards Opticians a week ago due to a bad irritation on my eye having lots of problems.Called Fizz my optometrist and asked for his help, within a few minutes sorted me an appointment,went to see him and now a few days later all been sorted.Highly recommend this excellent practice.

Came here for an eye test, I chose the gold package which checks behind your eye as well. The appointment was very informative and I learned some new things about the eyes in general. I luckily didn't need glasses but was advised some eye drops for my dry eye which work wonders. Felt super comfortable in the appointment, friendly but professional optician

We're can I start I came into pollards really nervous after having year's of trouble with my eye's and was greated by Fizz. What an amazing experience not only as he got good knowledge about been a optician he's also good at making you feel postive about yourself and gave me great advice how to move on forward in life now my eyes are sorted out I left there feeling great and thinking postive about my future and how I can drive which puts my career further thanks to this wonderful guy for making a difference to my life well done Fizz and the team at Pollards

Not only is the equipment amazing, fizz the optician is absolutely amazing and makes every single visit enjoyable! And the most important thing is he aided me in fixing a long standing eye condition and I couldn’t recommend the opticians more! A big thank you to Pollards and especially Fizz the optometrist for an emergency appt he did for me today. I was concerned to have a small lump on my lower lid. A bizarre outcome from photos he took of a hair growing upwards under the skin, which he showed me. He has thankfully referred me to get it sorted. A brilliant place and highly recommend also for a sight test and new spectacles.

I was transferred to pollards through the NHS for contact lenses after I was told I would never be able to wear glasses due to my condition! I went to my appointment with low expectations but my god was I wrong! Pollards worked tirelessly to help me get my sight back to normal through contact lenses! I cannot thank them enough! Also got me in a pair of glasses too. They bend over backwards to help you get back to your best! Amazing work and can’t recommend enough! The best around!!

Today was my first time at visiting an independent opticians and I have to say the service was outstanding. From the greeting from Denise, the eye examination from Fiz and the information he provided in terms of what was happening next, and describing and showing me the scans of my eyes etc. He was very informative. Denise was extremely knowledgable with on the range of glasses and how they should fit with face shape and helped in selecting glasses. An excellent service from start to finish. I had my first eye test with Fizz, who put me at ease. Every part of the test was thorough and every step was explained. I was prescribed new glasses with the help from Emma to choose. Denise was patient and helpful during my contact lens trial. If you want a highly professional service with people who care then Pollards is the place for you.

This was by far the best service I have received from an opticians. It was professional and everything was explained clearly , and you were made to feel at ease. The Optometrist was excellent , and the service was outstanding Denise helped me chosse some fabulous spectacles. Highly recommend and wont ever go anywhere else. Having previously worked in this field for 16 years all be it many years ago, I will say this is the best service for eye health care and spectacles in the area.

I have been a patient of Pollards Opticians for many years and have always had a fantastic service whenever I visit. Staff are friendly and the opticians are excellent at the work they do, providing the best they can with what's possible with my eyesight. Fiz has done a tremendous job in providing some new contact lenses for my eyes and I can't be thankful enough. Every visit he is always looking at ways to improve the fit and performance of my contacts, which I appreciate greatly as every little change can make a big difference in vision and comfort.

The best opticians there is, I have had Fizz checking my eyes for over 15 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Excellent customer service! All the staff I encountered were professional but also helpful and honest when picking new glasses. Me and my son both needed new glasses and I found they had a huge selection to choose from. 10/10 👍🏼 Great aftercare service, with the optician calling to see how my son was getting on with his first pair of glasses.

Brilliant Optition!!! OMG..... where do I begin, I had an eye test for the first time at Pollards, I thought my eyesight had changed but wasn't sure due to having dry eyes caused by medication. What an amazing excellent optometrist Fizz is, he's absolutely brilliant very thorough and reassuring not only had my eyesight changed he noticed an ingrowing eye lash which he removed with no pain felt and informed me I had cataract and has referred me to have it removed. Fantastic service from friendly staff, my forever Optitions, brilliant service can't recommend them enough. Thank you so much.

Absolutely adore all the staff at this opticians. Fizz helped me when I was lost with what to do next. My Keratoconus had gotten so bad in my right eye, it had me more than extremely worried. 3 months later fitted with a new contact lens, passed my driving medical with flying colour’s. I had the best possible experience at pollard’s opticians. The optometrist Fizz was friendly professional and very informative. He put me at ease when explaining my visual needs and gave me all the options to solve my issues with pros and cons. Denise then talked me through the options and helped me to make the best frame choice along with Emma who also contributed. From a non spectacle wearer I am now wearing a pair of varifocals glasses easily and the frame fits so well I hardly notice they are there! Cannot recommend this practice enough- thank you so much!!
