👍 I must say that at the moment the shelves are looking very bleak especially on Produce. A couple of weeks ago I mentioned to one of the staff that a handle was missing on one of the freezer doors. A lady was trying to open that door as I was opening the door next to it. It pinched her fingers though... Good selection and reasonable pricing on vegan/plant based items but shopping experience was pretty poor with the self serve more like an animal chute at an abattoir with little to no space to walk past people.

A medium sized store, but great layout. You do have to pay for parking but you get a discount and it's only 50p on Sundays. Not far walk into town. Staff are very friendly and helpful, which is to be expected for this retailer.

Nice staff and reasonable selection of supermarket fayre. I've not been in for 3 years as this place is far too expensive to shop. Their non food range is very good and comprehensive - fresh food less so. Not recommended unless you are desperate. 🙁

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned to one of the staff that a handle was missing on one of the freezer doors. A lady was trying to open that door as I was opening the door next to it. It pinched her fingers though she said that she was alright . This week it was still without a handle and a staff member said they had reported it many times. I cannot fault the staff. They are always very helpful

Huge Sainsbury’s based at the trinity shopping centre in central Wakefield. Has a large two story car park. 2.1m height limit. Do have to take a ticket however if you spend over £10 in Sainsbury’s they will scan the ticket so you get free parking for 2 hours. Requires a pound coin to use a shopping trolley. Inside is enormous, has a large Argos / habitat area with home goods and clothing. The houseplants section is similar to any other Sainsbury’s. Not anymore choice in the bigger store. Grocery shopping wise this is probably the most well stocked supermarket we have used for a while, nothing was missing and we could get everything we needed. Fantastic selection of all goods. And very quiet on a weekday evening.

I usually love Sainsburys, I am also pretty frugal and always look at the reduced section. This I thought had disappeared for a good while, but recently had it drawn to my attention that it had been moved to the 'aisle of death and slaughter' (Aisle 1). Not very considerate of non meat eaters!

Large Sainsbury's in the centre of Wakefield. In store Argos, café, toilets and clothing as well as groceries. Plenty of paid for parking outside, although free when spending £10 in Sainsbury's and ticket verified for up to two hours.

Lots of unused space. Fairly clean. At checkout the atenden was not around for approval and did not remind us to validate our parking.

Lovely big store with lots of good departments, even an Opticians. Easy to get around especially if you're a wheelchair user as the aisles are wide.

Regular weekly shop in this store. Always clean and well stocked. Good quality produce. I spend less in this store than I used to in the discount supermarkets. And it's better quality. Staff are attentive and courteous

The Sainsbury's is great! Well stocked and clean. The toilets however are vile, not clean at all and stink.

This supermarket has everything you could possibly want or need. The prices are reasonable which these days is a bonus. You have free parking for up to 2 hours.

Nice outlet sitting pretty st the centre of wakefield. The outlet is quite big and is devoid of any supply. For all you daily needs, like groceries, foodstuffs, clothes, shoes, accesories, etc. You will love your shopping experience right here at Sainsbury Wakefield.

Huge store that's neat and tidy. The only bad point is that the 3 item meal deal isn't as good as Tescos. The food was nice to eat but the selection of mains and snacks was very limited.

Seriously need to sort the security out that's on the doors. Was stopped by a woman earlier this morning Who was working on security. Alarm was going off when I walked out , which I understood and without hesitation I passed her my bags so we both could figure out what was tripping them. I gave her my receipt from a different shop which is the only items I'd purchased. Still proceeded to accuse me of shop lifting despite having a receipt. During covid I was practically chased by a male security guard for not wearing a mask and he followed me half way through the store. Then stopped again for thoughts of shop lifting despite having a receipt only 2 months ago. Wherever you're hiring from. I'd suggest you look else where. They're making your store look a joke. Meanwhile shop lifters are probably being overlooked because your security is too busy fannying about.

Ladies toilet disgusting even though supposedly cleaned 15 mins prior. Cutlery tray needed cleaning in cafe. Dirty cutlery Worst fish n chips I've ever had.

We had to visit Customer services after our shopping. There were three assistants behind the counter. One was talking to another Sainsbury's employee, the other two were busy and we were ignored. A man walked in from the side and he was acknowledged immediately. He asked for the manager and one staff was on the phone quickly. Eventually we were served, the lady was pleasant, all I wanted was some points adding from a previous shop! It was altogether a very disheartening experience.

Nice and big, at the moment building work has started at the back of the store as argos is coming into the store. Great variety of products available and a fantastic TU clothing range. Plenty of tills and self scans available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Toilets and cafe available and good disable access and parking only disadvantage you have to spend over £10 to receive free parking.

Disappointing visit today at Wakefield Trinity Walk. This Sainsbury's store was our favourite for clothes shopping and homeware. Sainsbury have obviously changed it's business model and brought Wakefield to the same run of the mill store as Halifax and White Rose; no items modelled or displayed and now you have to pay for parking. Don't think we shall be returning anytime soon.

I like this venue, its easy to park really cheap to park on a Sunday and near to many other large retail shops. Good size store with plenty of food and non food items, often at great prices. New stock in all the time which keep the variety going. Woukd I recommend it...definitely.

Wide walkways, good variety, never overly busy, quick through tills, very clean store, undergoing some work inside but well enclosed/secure.

Nice place to shop. You can get just about everything here. Good display of clothing aswell as electrical items. Argos too.

  • 4/5 Stephen L. 1 year ago on Google
Generally excellent with a vast range of non-food items as well. Suffers from a lack of changing rooms for clothing related items. Layout of some non food areas betrays a level of indecision as to what its main function is.

Excellent store, lots of good prices. Lovely selection of clothes. Coffee in cafe great and served by such cheerful and friendly staff.

Brilliant shop has everything now especially with argos in there. Only place I know in Wakefield that sells the proper jerk sauce. You have to try it people it melts you're eyeballs in a good way. It's massive they stock an amazing amount of variety probably best super/hyper market in wakey.

This is one of many supermarkets in the area and in my opinion the best.It is very well stocked with good quality food and clothing.all at very competitive prices. The isles are wide with plenty of room for passing. The car park is vast so no problem for parking

I have always enjoyed shopping here the staff are always welcoming and the supermarket is always extremely clean and well stocked, l do enjoy the wide selection of clothes 😀 amazing value for money. I have eaten many times in there lovely café great choice and lovely food.

I love the variety in this sainsburys. Argos is in the top right corner of the store. Theres no step near the doors, so totally wheelchair friendly. The fresh buns looked gorgeous, I don't think my 'eat healthy' routine or my scales would have liked it much. I was definitely tempted though. 😂

We arrived at sainsbury just in time for lunch, we always have a meal in sainsburys that are open for meals(come on sainsbury open up again the closed cafes again) the meal was quickly brought to us,by a really friendly person, well worth the short wait. Then we went around the shop itself, loads of stock and plenty of room to move. Yes it's well worth a visit. We will be back!!

Very big and spacious store with ample parking. The only downside is that parking is free for 2 hours only and that too if you spend atleast £10 in Sainsbury store. Otherwise, you have to pay for the parking.

Very large departmental store. Right from fresh vegetables to all daily usable items are available. They have very large chain in United Kingdom

  • 5/5 Mudite J. 2 years ago on Google
Shop has gone under layout changes and it has Argos inside it aswell. There seems to be more clothing choice now in the shop too which is added bonus as I like TU clothes. Fast checkout seen as they have thought of it all - smart shop, self checkout and tills, all operating side by side.
