A great and unique place to hang, with good nosh, decent coffee and friendly service. Plenty of room inside and out, with overflow upstairs in the art gallery! They serve AllPress coffee which is always a sign of potential greatness, so it was easy to pick Bowery out from the vast array of options. Easily the best coffee, ciabatta and crumble i have had in Leeds.

Fantastic art venue and café. Buzzing with activity, there's so much going on. I was very lucky to have 'A Splash of Colour' Helen Field and Viv Owen exhibition here, and to get work with the Creative Writing and art groups. There's a lovely selection of food and drinks, and art and plants for sale Treat yourself to coffee and culture!

Great coffee, fantastic cakes, nice atmosphere. Update... Just been on one of their amazing craft courses making lampshades. Brilliant course, well run, informative, relaxing and we have two great new bedside lampshades that we made ourselves!!! Previously been on their pajama making course and aromatherapy candle making, all great courses.

Hands down my favourite place in Leeds. Bowery is such a warm and calming environment to work or chat with friends and the coffee is delicious! They don't even charge extra for oat milk which I really appreciate. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, the place is clearly run with so much love and care. Thank you guys 💛

Nice chilled place, have work space upstairs. Personally not keen on the coffee though probably better if you take it with milk. Nice bit of toast.

Potentially my favourite café in Leeds, and I've visited a LOT. Lovely owner and staff, regular events upstairs, always a cracking coffee. Local artist work for sale here too. Make sure to visit if you're in the area

One of the nicest cafes in Leeds in my opinion, there is such a warm and friendly environment, while the general hubbub really brings this cafe to life. The coffee and food was delicious and great place to go for a study sesh, or hanging out with friends or family. The selection of goodies and pastries on display is so tempting too!! Such a brilliant selection for all, meat eaters and veggies/vegans alike!

Visited the shop as it was featured in the coffee guide. Great selection of drinks, hot and cold and the food was great. We got a broe and Chutney sandwich snd a pork pie Salad plate. Good selection of things inside to catch your eye from plants, books, art and gifts.

Excellent coffee. Stopped here while walking to another coffee shop nearby which I had read about. But there was a queue out of this so decided to stay. Was a great decision. Great flat white and even better almond croissant.

Lovely welcoming coffee shop! I did the ‘Stained Glass’ workshop with Kerry Burgoyne and it was brilliant. So easy, fun and informative. The space is calming and full of amazing art. All the staff are so friendly and the coffees were great. Can’t wait to go back and do more workshops!

We are so lucky to have an independent coffee shop frequented by all ages, locals, parents, students, regulars, newcomers, all together. The great coffee keeps people coming back, but there is so much more than that. There is a lovely atmosphere of positivity and creativity, there is great care taken with all the food and drink which is exceptionally good, and there are always wonderful gifts and art to look at. The little garden is an absolute hidden gem and a peaceful sanctuary on the bustling Otley Road, and inside there are workspaces and cosy corners. All the sandwiches and sweet treats are incredible but the carrot cake and almond croissants are heavenly. Ged and Sandra have clearly worked so hard to create this amazing place that really captures the eclectic spirit of Headingley.
