Some of the playthings are dated but the grass is big enough to have your own space to play.

Nice park for a quick play with the kids grass areas for chilling and main park is fenced off so it's pretty safe

A lovely little park. A children's play area. Parking outside the gated entrance and room for dogs to have a run. Unfortunately not all owners pick up dog deposits which does spoil things a bit

Rating an open grassy area surrounded by trees feels strange, especially one which was a huge part of childhood during the 70s and 80s. Farsley Rec remains largely unchanged, the children's play area is modern, enclosed and a grand spot to spend quality time with young ones. Plenty of open areas for ball sports and the like. A path runs around the whole area, great for cycling, scootering or just plain meandering. The main Calverley Lane entrance is very accessible for pushchairs, buggies, wheelchairs. There are no toilets though, lest squatting behind a tree appeals... Clearly, dog walkers use the Rec frequently, most seem to clean up any dog eggs dropped by their pets. Not worth a trip out, however if you're local, you'd be daft not to make use of the space.

Loved it here, a big piece of ground to walk your dog and play behind the park. Dog and me thought it was brilliant .

We only use the playground and it's quite a nice one. Usually clean and lots of space.

Good location, don't like the raised surface around facilities.

Ideal play area, loved the range of slides, climbing apparatus. Took boys aged 3 year and 14 months old, they loved it.

Great for walking the dog on the big grass area, or for kids play in the separate play park with swings, slides, climbing frames etc
