My
friend
and
I
visited
Escapologist
at
Xscape
about
a
month
ago
with
our
9
year
old
children
-
a
birthday
treat
for
them.
The
introduction
was
rushed
and
not
to
the
usual
standard
at
all.
It
was
very
apparent
no
one
was
watching
the
cameras
constantly.
We
came
unstuck
early
on
as
there
was
a
piece
missing.
Leo
came
into
the
room
to
help
us
after
we
had
waved
various
times
for
help.
He
told
us
there
was
a
piece
missing
-
surely
during
set
up
these
things
are
checked?
This
set
us
back.
We
then
needed
a
further
clue
and
we
were
given
clues
for
things
we
had
already
done
which
was
impossible
to
communicate
via
the
screen.
Leo
had
said
that
it
was
busy
and
we
may
have
to
wait,
but
it
was
very
frustrating,
particularly
for
the
two
boys
during
their
first
experience,
to
have
to
wait
and
then
be
given
clues
which
didn't
help.
At
one
point,
my
friend
had
to
leave
the
room
to
get
help
as
no
one
had
come
after
much
waving
at
the
camera.
She
found
just
one
person
manning
several
rooms
on
the
screens.
There
was
also
an
issue
with
the
screens
(wanted
posters)
which
didn't
switch
on
when
we
flicked
the
switch.
This
again
delayed
us
after
we
had
to
wave
several
times
and
explain
that
they
weren't
working.
When
they
did
work,
they
kept
flicking
on
and
off
and
'loading'
-
again
wasting
time.
We
did
tell
Leo
that
it
wasn't
a
good
experience
to
which
his
response
was,
'at
least
you
escaped'.
As
you
can
imagine
this
was
very
disappointing
given
the
fact
we'd
brought
our
children
for
their
first
ever
escape
room!
There
was
no
offer
of
compensation
despite
the
fact
that
the
room
did
not
run
smoothly
at
all
and
worse,
not
even
an
apology!
The
whole
experience
felt
amateur
and
not
at
all
like
our
previous
experiences.
In
addition
to
our
experience,
the
room
seemed
run
down
-
pieces
not
stuck
down/
maintained,
bits
missing
etc.
I
emailed
the
above
complaint
directly
and
then
to
head
office
but
NO
RESPONSE.
Absolutely
shocking
customer
service.
