The Mews is a lovely hotel. The room was well decorated and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom ls very modern and everything is clean. The pub itself is amazing, really welcoming, and bright and interesting because of the eclectic mix of objects decorating it. The restaurant is superb, and the food is delicious. The staff are so cheerful and really helpful. Wifi and continental breakfast are also included

We stayed in room 16- a dog friendly room which was great with patio door opening onto an enclosed courtyard garden-perfect for dogs. The room was large and spacious with a very comfortable bed and an ensuite shower. We had Sunday lunch in the pub and this was excellent and breakfast the next morning was also good with lots of choice. The dogs were treated with some roast beef on Sunday and some sausages at breakfast. Everybody was really friendly and welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay.

Great value. Great service. Amazing food. Great location not far from the motorway. But they no longer offer a full English breakfast. Instead it's a choice of freshly cooked breakfast sandwich or scrambled eggs on toast with either bacon or sausage.

We booked the private dining room in The Mews for a small family reception. They were very quick and accommodating in their communication and on the day of it was nothing short of spectacular. I did not catch the name of the young man who hosted our group of 12 but he was polite, accommodating, witty, and an overall joy to work with. The space itself was also lovely. We had flowers delivered the day before which they set out for us, and when we arrived they had music playing to set the mood. By far the best element though, was the food. We tried a range of options from their Sunday menu including starters, mains, and desserts. There was an interesting range from the British classics (e.g., lamb roast & cottage pie) to the more international (e.g., brisket bao). Everything was delicious and they really made the reception an easy and enjoyable experience

My bedroom was a little bijou but the bed was comfortable so what more to ask for? The food however was out of this world and the portions enough for two sittings. Very friendly and worth a trip. Eat and stay here. Well worth a visit

The young chap front of house is one of the most hard working bar staff I've ever come across. The menu selection was surprisingly diverse. The quality of food produced was beyond expectation, so my sincere thanks to them for what they do I would not hesitate to return.

The room was clean. The bed was comfy. Tea & coffee provided. The bar was very cosy and the food looked delicious. So I was looking forward to my breakfast the following morning. You’d expect a full English breakfast but oh no!! Scrambled egg on toast, or a sausage sandwich to say I was disappointed was an understatement. If I knew this prior to booking I wouldn’t have booked. Nowhere on the website does it say you don’t get a full English breakfast Such a shame as this spoilt our experience here.

Very attentive staff and fully engage management team. Good to see a very young team at the helm delivering good customer service. 10am check outs for the rooms need looking at though. Overall a good experience

Absolute joke! It’s a good job I rang to clarify the booking which may I add i booked weeks ago to be told by an arrogant member of staff that it was booked for 8 people when I booked it for 10 and I specifically ask for the private room to be told it was a window seating I had booked 🤦‍♀️I know what I booked and how many for but I won’t bother coming back here we will from now on take our celebrations elsewhere!!!

A nice hotel for a stopover just off the M1. We had a standard double room, nicely decorated, comfy bed, tea and coffee was thrown in a tin, be nice to have water, even a bottle of tap water. Continental breakfast included, very nice, wasn't expecting a choice of breakfast sarnies, the bacon was delicious. Had an evening meal in the pub restaurant, absolutely fantastic, a great quirky bar.

Great pub, nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Good seating inside and out. Our reviews are based on our experience at the time, we stopped in for a couple of drinks with friends and didn’t have a meal.

Secluded Beachfront Retreat was a hidden gem by the sea. The resort's private beach access allowed us to bask in the beauty of the coastline. Our room was comfortable, and the sound of the waves was a constant lullaby. The resort staff were gracious and made us feel like cherished guests. This is a place where the sea whispers its secrets.

Really nice rooms, coffee pod machine a nice touch. Friendly and helpful staff in the bar, arrived late from work and food had stopped being served but they very generously offered to make me a roast beef sandwich that came with a pork pie and coleslaw. Greatly appreciated

We had our Wedding reception here, they provided an amazing buffet with a good selection of tasty food and the side room with outdoor area was perfect for our small function. We also stayed for a meal the night before and the food was brilliant especially the sticky toffee pudding. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much for them. The Mews went above and beyond to help our special day be perfect. The room was lovely, comfortable bed and a decent sized TV in the Supreme room. We've found a special little place for us to visit again in the future.

The pub at the Mews Hotel is quaint and lovely. The food offered to us for a wedding reception held in a private room was very delicious and varied for all tastes. The presentation of the food was excellent and very appetising. The facilities for the reception were nice and cozy but also had patio doors to the rear to allow our reception to spill out into a private enclosed garden with picnic tables and a covered section in case of rain. The car park for The Mews Hotel was ample and the location ideal. I do not know about the rooms as I have not stayed there as a guest. However as a location for food, drink, and excellent service, The Mews Hotel comes with an excellent recommendation from this reviewer.

I go here quite a lot and this is a great pub with equally great food. Lovely staff. On a nice sunny day they have a nice beer garden. It's a popular pub and hotel.

This place is great. Great staff, great food and they love mine and my partners dog. Everytime we go out dog eats better than we do and that for us, is a win right there. If you haven't already been, the pies are the best pies ever, anywhere.

A beautiful place to come for a drink, or a dinner. The staff is always friendly and helpful, The menu is amazing offering a wide range of dishes. There is always a board with specials as well. We left very satisfied, had a pleasant meal with a couple of drinks. The place was busy but still felt private and easy to talk to each other. Definitely coming back. Thank you!

The food is very well balanced gourmet food. One of those rare finds that having a starter doesn't mean you can't eat your main or your desert. I had the rump and it was cooked to perfection. Staff are friendly and the welcome is warm and friendly. Rooms are very high quality and well furnished. Worth a visit. You won't be disappointed...

A great place to visit for a meal. Food is very good. Although not the cheapest is still worth the money. The bar and restaurant areas are full of interesting features. And staff are very friendly, there's also a nice area outside for those warm day/nights.

The room was a small single, basic but absolutely fine and spotlessly clean. Great shower. The pub has more bric-a-brac than you might think could possibly be fitted in but it has a welcoming feel to it. The evening menu is varied and well-cooked, breakfasts are kept simple but are well done. The staff are lovely, really friendly and helpful. All this and excellent value.

Front of house could do with improvement, not the usual level of welcome. Hotel being renovated - will be of a great syandard. Room lovely, had everything you need, comfy bed, great shower. Pleasant outside area to watch the world go by. On site parking very limited but only a short bimble to park for free on a disused council office car park. Would I go back? Yes.

The room was as good as expected based on website and reviews. I stayed in the single room and was very comfortable. I ate dinner and breakfast and the food was good. The evening staff were short handed but did their best to keep up and stay friendly. I don't have much to say about the location, except it worked for my needs. The village center is cute.
