    I've been using Motive8 North services for almost 2 years now. I've recommended it to family and friends too. I could say that Emily and Jenny have always provided me with the best service a fitness newbie could ask for. Simply because they know how to motivate a person. I can't thank Jenny enough for introducing me to Emily. Emily has been my personal trainer and a friend since joining. I can't thank her enough for answering all the crazy questions that I had and still continue to come up with some until today (don't hate me for it :) ). I can't thank her enough for being patient, sharing her knowledge with me and showing me the exercises I wasn't able to remember again and again. Until today she continues to be flexible with me and my needs. I'm always equipped with motivation and desire to exercise before each session, because I know Emily always gives me challenges or builds up the exercises previously performed in a way to show a progress. Thank you for leading me and being part of my fitness journey! (h)

    I’ve been working with a personal trainer Josh from Motive8 for around 8 weeks now. We had a really good initial session he really listened to my goals but more importantly my limits. I’ve done similar things in the past and been made to throw up and this is exactly what I didn’t want. Josh took this is on board and has created a circuit that pushes me but does not make me feel sick he also provided some really simple diet changes that make a massive difference. After 8 weeks I’ve lost inches all over and my fitness level has improved 500%

    10/10 would recommend motive8 and Kate… I came across motive8 after googling ‘gym classes Leeds city centre’. Little did I know 8 months later I would’ve completed 2 x do it in 12 plans and be a regular gym/class go’er at motive8. Best thing I’ve ever done! I gained almost 2 stone during lockdown and just gave up looking after myself. I felt lathargic, unhappy in my clothes and my excuse to everything was ‘cba’. Once I got back into the office I decided to attend couple of motive8 classes to try get back into a routine and I loved them - the environment was so welcoming and, although the classes were tough, you could go at your own pace. After doing one of Kate’s classes, I decided to approach her about PT. I felt like I needed some structure and accountability. My ‘new year new me goal’ for 2022 was to get back to my prelockdown self, but every couple of weekends I failed. Kate and I discussed my goals and I took the plunge with the do it in 12 plan (details on the website - I’d recommend investing in yourself if you have a specific goal - you won’t regret it). My primary goal was weight loss, but Kate’s PT sessions made me actually enjoy the process (something I never thought I’d say!). I’ve always dreaded exercise and had the attitude of ‘let’s just get it done’. I don’t know if it’s how hard Kate made me work or how funny she is - but I actually looked forward to the GYM!! As well as smashing my weight loss goals, I felt like I was learning a lot and my goals developed. I decided to do another 12 week plan as I wanted to become more confident and focus on strength. After completing the second do it in 12 (only a few days ago) I felt like I can now go it alone (although i’m really going to miss PT’ing with Kate). I’d recommend motive8 to anyone no matter what your goals - it’s a quiet gym with someone around to always help you. The classes are intimate so you get to know other members well, who are all friendly and there’s no pressure. If you’re considering PT, i’d recommend the do it in 12 plan (and Kate as the trainer - although I am bias!). If you have a goal in mind, this is the plan for you. It’s broken down into 3 x training cycles so it keeps everything fresh and that you don’t loose motivation. I’ve hit all my targets and couldn’t have done it without Kate’s help and support, so thank you! I don’t think this will be the end of PT with Kate but wish me luck on trying it alone… #tothebatmobile

    I joined Motive8 about 7-8 months ago now and haven't looked back! Daily classes are different every day, trainers are incredibly knowledgable, friendly and approachable. There is no "attitude" like you get in other gyms, everyone is just super friendly and the atmosphere is always good!

    I use the Motive8 gym at Saxton and have HIIT classes there. These classes with Emily have been brilliant, since I started in January my body has changed, I am much fitter and stronger than I used to be! I have also been her trail student for the Yoga course and she is an excellent yoga instructor.

    Josh is a great PT and has really helped me over the last few months. The facilities are amazing at Motiv8 and all the staff are really friendly. I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a gym/PT.

    Such a lovely community environment. The gym may be small but you get everything you need done! I have only ever loved one other gym because the community feeling and knowing the staff, and I'm glad I've found a gym like this in Leeds Thank you Motiv8 Staff!

    I have been training with Kate Halsall on and off since 2014, I have to say she is the best trainer I have ever worked with, not only is she very motivating but also makes the sessions fun. I have only ever achieved my lowest weight whilst training with Kate and joining motivate gym, as its a friendly gym and everyone's happy to help. I'm back again in 2020 ready to smash my goals.     Motiv8 North is a great gym with good facilities and good people. Everyone has been very knowledgeable and supportive since I signed up after the second lockdown to get my fitness back. Having attended classes with Emily, Beth and Jenny as well as weekly PT sessions with Josh, my strength, fitness and mental health have improved dramatically. I would recommend the gym for people of all levels of fitness, especially those wanting to step things up a level or get more control on their lifestyle.

    I joined Motiv8 in early September to kickstart my fitness routine with their 12 week plan and it’s been exceptional so far! More than just meeting my goals, I’ve been getting hands on support with my diet and motivational advice which is tailored to me alongside PT sessions and access to all the classes. Kate is my personal trainer and she’s great at working me hard to reach my goals, keeping me smiling during difficult sessions and also being flexible when life means my routine gets disrupted. All the trainers have their own style and are always around to cover sessions. It really feels like a nice and friendly family! All in all a great little gym that specialises in personalisation and flexibility in style!

    I've been training with Josh at motive8 for 2 months and can't recommend him and motive8 highly enough! I've always struggled staying motivated at them gym but the friendly atmosphere, support and varied work outs have got me enjoying the gym for the first time in years! I'm already seeing results and can't wait to see what more I can achieve in the future!

    I would highly recommend Motive8 to anyone who wants to lose weight or be healthier in general, especially those who maybe don’t have the confidence or motivation to get going by themselves. I started on Motive8’s ‘Do It In 12’ package with two sessions a week with a personal trainer and open access to the gym. I was also given diet advice which has been a really positive lifestyle change for me. Motive8 guarantee results with this package and I am delighted with my progress so far and intend to carry on beyond the 12 weeks. I’ve had the chance to work with different PTs in their gym and they’re all great people who want the best for you. At the moment I am enjoying the strength training that Josh has gradually incorporated into my workout - he’s got me striving towards clear goals in weight and reps. Without Josh and the gang I would have given up, so if you struggle with the motivation to go to a typical gym then Motive8’s more 1-to-1 customer service is for you, the clue is in the name!

    The Motive8 North personal training team are amazing! I’ve been working with Motive8 North for two years and the level of support they provide both in terms of motivation and nutritional and fitness support is second to none. With the help of their personal trainers I have lost two stone, dropped three dress sizes, ran in numerous events and just as importantly adopted a healthier lifestyle for the long-term.
