Friendly, supportive and professional class- anyone starting Krav Maga for the first time will feel comfortable here. Mark is a brilliant instructor, knowledgeable, patient, makes training fun and always willing to listen to suggestions for what members want to improve on. I have very little experience of Martial arts, but after about 10 weeks I felt really confident and had quickly learned some of the basics of Krav self-defence. It's pay as you go and the best value for money, 3 hours of training on a Thursday is only Β£10. Couldn't recommend this class enough, best in Leeds.

Excellent instruction in a friendly environment. Mike makes every class physically challenging. I've definitely seen my fitness levels improve. He also trains for a wide array of scenarios from day one so every lesson is varied and interesting. Highly recommend this class for fitness and self defense.

I did a 5 day intensive course with Mike and my two seventeen year old son and daughter. I had boxed before and done a bit of karate when I was younger, so have had some experience of self defence instruction, and have been an active registered coach for football and rugby over the last 12 years. I have never come across any instructor with the level of teaching skill, and ability that Mike has. He was able to get the best from all three of us, and teach to our own particular skills and abilities, which varied across the group. The system is brutal, and the physical exertion in 5 hours a day was significant, but throughout Mike was patient, knowledgeable, and fantastic at motivating us (without the cheezy, American-style insincerity that the verb suggests). The additional nutritional advice thrown in for free was fantastic. As a criminal lawyer for the last 25 years, I am only too aware of the arbitrariness of violence. I hope that my kids never, ever need to use what they were taught, but I would rather they have the knowledge and not need it, than need it and not have it. I cannot think that there is anybody else who could have done a better job than Mike did, and I cannot thank him enough.

Been going to Mike's classes for 5 months now. I'd never done anything like it before and was a bit nervous at the first session - I was only a couple of months into a complete lifestyle change and didn't know if an unfit, overweight, middle-aged woman like me would really fit in. I couldn't have been more wrong!! Mike is brilliant. He's patient, knowledgeable and makes training fun. I do a lot of training now but this is definitely the most fun AND the most useful in the real world. It really is for everyone, can't recommend it highly enough!

BKM Leeds is a very inclusive and exceptional school for instruction in Krav Maga. Mike Potts who is the instructor is very attentive to your needs and also caters to those requirements. The school is exceptionally friendly and accepting, no matter where you are in your personal journey. I would highly recommend you reach out to the school and come and give it a try. Who knows, you may enjoy it!

I've done various martial arts from judo to karate, kung fu to kobudo all of which I have enjoyed as sports, Krav Maga however is the most realistic self defence I have ever done training realistic scenarios from one on one to 4 or 5 on one. Mike has a way of teaching to make you feel at ease through training in a friendly environment. I would have no problem in recommending his classes to anyone who wants to learn self defence, get fit and increase self confidence

I've trained with many Krav Maga instructors over the year and I think I've found the one. Mike is a great instructor with technical skills to match. I highly recommend attending Mike's sessions if you need advice on how to improve your skills or if you want to get fit... Great training, great workout

I signed up for Krav classes with Mike as I wanted to learn a new skill along with keeping in shape and doing something I had not tried before. As a big fan of boxing and MMA I had not had much previous knowledge about Krav and was unsure about weather it would be "up my street" hiwever I had previously done a small amount of wing chun. Mike was not only a great instructor, and very accomplished in taking the class and getting the best out of all his students. He was also a great chap, and extremely personable with everyone who came along (and also funny and easy going). Anyone thinking of taking up Krav either as an extra hobby, out of curiosity, or simply for fitness and fun I would say go for it. I had a great time at my evening classes and met some great people from a range of backgrounds and age groups.
