I
had
an
appointment
for
a
blood
test
on
Monday
28th
March
2022.
I
had
a
reminder
sent
on
Sunday
via
a
text.
As
I
was
full
of
cold
and
had
a
cough
that
had
started
over
the
weekend,
I
clicked
the
NHS
link
in
the
text
to
cancel
the
appointment,
and
it
told
me
that
the
surgery
would
be
notified.
Next
day
another
text
message
came
through
to
say
I
hadn’t
turned
up
for
the
appointment,
suggesting
the
surgery
hadn’t
been
told
of
the
cancellation!
I
couldn’t
ring
up
last
week
as
I
couldn’t
speak
without
coughing
over
the
phone,
so
today
on
rebooking
the
appointment
I
asked
about
the
cancellation.
It
was
obvious
that
it
had
gone
as
a
black
mark
against
me,
so
I
told
the
receptionist
what
had
happened
and
it
was
obvious
she
didn’t
believe
me
and
nor
did
whoever
she
had
gone
away
to
ask
about
it.
She
said
her
manager
would
be
reviewing
it
and
so
I
asked
that
they
let
me
know
the
outcome.
A
few
minutes
later
I
received
a
text
asking
me
for
a
screenshot
of
the
cancellation.
So
I
sent
it
through.
This
is
the
wording
I
got
back
a
few
minutes
later
-“
Dear
Mrs
Abbott,
Hi,
as
i
can
see
that
it
says
you've
replied
i
will
remove
it
this
time
even
though
it's
not
come
through
thank
you
for
sending
the
picture.
Thank
you
Parkview
Surgery
“I
will
remove
it
this
time?!!!”
-
I
cannot
do
anything
other
on
a
weekend
than
use
the
cancellation
system
that
you
have
provided
me
with!
The
fact
that
it
hasn’t
come
through
to
you
is
not
my
fault
and
needs
checking
at
your
end
to
ensure
it
does
work
properly!
I
do
not
mark
a
habit
of
cancelling
appointments
and
this
was
cancelled
timeously
using
your
mechanism.
It’s
really
awful
that
you
go
down
the
route
of
not
believing
people
and
then
when
it’s
been
proved
that
they’re
telling
the
truth
you
then
don’t
have
the
good
grace
to
apologise
and
say
thank
you
for
notifying
us
so
that
had
our
system
worked,
we
could
have
used
your
appointment
for
someone
else
in
need
of
it
on
a
Monday
morning!!!
