We have visited Samuel's Gorge winery yesterday with my friends. What a beautiful winery it is, their wines are delicious especially the red ones and the winery has spectacular views. The guy who served us (Jacob) is a lovely young man, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! Samuel's Gorge is definitely a five star boutique winery!!! I would highly recommend to visit as part of trip to McLaren Vale!

Our tasting experience here was probably the most engaging, entertaining and insightful ones I've ever had. It was super busy, yet they were able to still make us feel welcome. We had multiple hosts catering to us, each with their own flare, taking their time to give us insights into their varied and super delicious wines. Even managed to buy some bottles from their secret stash. The crew here were sincerely our kindred spirits when it came to wine. A little under 2 hours later we managed to pry ourselves from their stunning winery. Don't forget to enjoy the stunning views over the valley. This MUST be a stop when you're in McLaren Vale.

Quite possibly my new favorite winery! Super low key and chilled. I enjoyed every wine on that tasting list. And folks, you have to get out here for the 2020 Comet Tail Sparkling Shiraz. Amazing, is really the only tasting notes you need. Just incredible fruit that can shine whilst being served chilled with bubbles. What are you waiting for?

A great place for wine tasting. There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Some of their wines were pretty good, service was friendly and of course beautiful views of the Gorge from here. Recommended if in this area!

Absolutely loved our visit! We were able to try a great collection of wines in beautiful surrounds, everyone was super friendly, our dog was welcome - all round a fantastic experience. Looking forward to enjoying the bottles we took home with us!

I mean wow! This beautiful little winery was busy with all kinds of visitors, offering tastings from a variety of styles and all at no expense to you the guest. Hannah was very welcoming and intuitive, I also appreciate the hospitality from John and Mike, the team looked after all guests with care and insight about their wines while also offering excellent knowledge of the region. Treated myself to two of their Spanish varieties and the twenty year celebration package of six wines. Cheers to you guys for a beautiful day!

Great winery experience in McLaren Vale. You can enjoy your wine with the scenery. I’ve particularly enjoyed Tempranillo. All staff are friendly and well explained their history. The price is little bit expensive but considering the free tasting, it is reasonable. Must go place in McLaren Vale. Enjoy!

Lovely little winery with an excellent array of wines, picturesque view, charming location and warm, relaxed hospitality. A special plug for Mike with an “I” - knowledgeable, personable and cheeky 😂. Very engaging experience.

We had a wonderful morning here. A gorgeous location, super friendly staff, delicious wine, amazing prices. We didn’t have a booking but were easily accommodated. Best winery out of the 6 we went to in McLaren Vale. Loved it!

Fantastic place. Great variety of wines, and the staff is super friendly and very kind. The place is very nice with an Italian like vibe. Beautiful winery. The wine tasting was delicious and offered many taste experiences, with a view of the great wine valleys. Would recommend to anyone who likes wine and wants a very nice experience.

Absolutely loved this place. We pulled in with our single-axle offroad camper trailer and we had a couple of the winemakers comment on "the rig", and then we headed in for a tasting. We later found out that those winemakers were actually the owner. How awesome to see the owner handpicking grapes and just happy to have a chat with any blow-in coming in. Then onto the wines. What a set! We absolutely LOVED this winery. We had Jon serve us. And honestly, felt like we'd been mates for life. He was super knowledgeable and happy to have a chat with us. We would love to come back to this place. We are excited to drink the rose we purchased over the warm weekend ahead! Thank you for your hospitality and the wines!

This is my favourite McLaren Vale winery by far. I’ve been a few times and am reluctant to share the secret of this hidden gem! Shout out to the owner and staff for making each visit unique and special. Beautiful views and spectacular wines, highly recommend.

We came here due to a recommendation and are so glad we did. The warm welcome to the rustic decor to the delicious wines. Everything was great. Service was impeccable and there was just a wonderful atmosphere. I would highly recommend this boutique winery.

What a beautiful venue, & it was the first time I’ve done a red tasting where I’ve loved every single one. Not to mention there was no charge for tastings - that’s unheard of these days. But most importantly, the staff were amazing! Incredible customer service by Dave, & Hannah who was incredibly sweet & offered us a lift to the next winery next door because one of our group members had a broken ankle & a moon boot. Blown away at how amazing this place & staff were, highly recommend & we will definitely be back!

We were made very welcome by the enthusiastic team at the cellar door. Beautiful setting overlooking the Onkaparinga Gorge. As for the wines, they were very drinkable even the 2022 ones. My pick would be their Shiraz, Grenache followed by the Mourvèdre.

I've been visiting the cellar door regularly over the years, a fantastic place to sit and enjoy the brilliant wines produced by the team at Samuel's gorge. Predominantly a red wine producer, making delicious lighter reds. I didn't see any food menus, however this just gives you an excuse to dine in one of the many renowned eateries in the district. Cannot recommend coming here enough.

We had an amazing cellar door experience with the crew at Samuel's Gorge. Great staff, great wines and super dog friendly! It was the very first stop on our SA wine trip and they set the benchmark high - the wine and cellar door experience we compared all others too.

Wonderful experience. Stunning views and great wine. But the thing that sets it apart are the staff who are welcoming, relaxed and knowledgeable. A fantastic afternoon.

As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia tour of South Australia 🇦🇺 I spent a day exploring the lovely Mclaren Vale area, this was my third stop of the day, Catherine was a lovely host and we got to enjoy some lovely wines with great view over the gorge.

Our favourite winery by far! Amazing staff and the most delicious wines. Highly recommended!

Truly fantastic experience. We were recommended this fine winery by a friend and I can see why! Lovely relaxed setting, beautiful views, friendly and knowledgable staff who just love sharing their passion for the wine they make. Wine was really really good; enjoyed the Grenache and Shiraz the most but it was all delicious! Took my dad and brother for a tasting there (before they returned to the UK later that day) and it was one of the highlights of their trip to SA. The only shame was that we couldn’t spend more time there! We will be recommending this place to all our friends!

Great winery, beautiful scenery. Tasting was wonderful and the service was excellent. Chunks the black lab was also very friendly. Highly recommended.

Thou shalt drink wine! Gorgeous views and awesome red wine. No white wine. Shiraz the pick for us. Get some!

The best wines we had in McLaren vale. It was so busy, but the service felt really personal. All the staff was so knowledgeable. And the wines.... outstanding!

Lovely place on top of the hill with an amazing view. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and they have one of the best Shiraz with dark chocolate notes I've ever tried! I highly recommend this place!

Such a good winery. Staff are very knowledgeable and laid back. Grab a spot to enjoy the view across the gorge, and the staff find you to offer your next tasting. They also allow you to bring your own lunch/ food. Take your own picnic blanket as there is a good grassed area if the tables are taken. The wine is nice, they are $40 a bottle, but you will be happy to pay this for the quality, and the service. Atmosphere is good, with people coming and going, and as it is a smaller winery you don't get the coaches full of people. (While we were there anyway...)

Stopped by on our way through McLaren Vale and couldn’t have been happier! This place is a must go. Smaller, rustic, and absolutely lovely for a nice afternoon tasting. Led by John who was wonderful, knowledgeable, and funny. We felt right at home. Would definitely come again!
