Great spot to learn more about the American Revolution. You can have your National Park passport book stamped and kids can earn a junior ranger badge. Clean bathrooms and water bottle refill station too. Took our scouts on a 3 mile hike including visiting the Soldiers Hut, Wick house, and the visitor center. Nice 1/2 day trip.

What an amazing place! Only able to walk around for an hour or so but so grateful that this historical site remains in tact for people to see. Will definitely return to see more.

Very nice place to hike and see history sites. For those who wants National Park passport stamps, there are two visitor centers in Morristown where you can get stamps, here at Jockey Hollow Visitor center and Morristown National Historical Park Visitor center Washington Place. Visit both sites if you have time.

A pretty scenic place. Great for talking walks, photography, time with the kids and family, etc. I love National Historic Parks, and this one is a gem. I never knew it existed right in the town where my two daughters were born. It’s a great place for a photowalk. I’ll definitely be returning, Lord willing, and I encourage anyone in the area to have a visit. It’s also a nice slow drive through the park, if you just want to look and not get out.

This park is such a gift for us who live around here. It offers infinite natural beauty between relatively dense natural terrain and open fields plowed by the revolutionary generation. The history and story of the pioneers and the revolutionary war is told throughout the trails and there are so many trails to choose from. Some more elevated offering a vista and others by the various streams flowing through. The visitors center would encapsulate all that wonder but not so much these days. Looking forward to post pandemic services to resume.

Nice area with a couple of hiking paths. The average length of trail is around 2 miles. Lot's of History behind this place. Great place to visit and spend half a day experiencing.

Great visitor center. Small but mighty! The gentleman manning the welcome desk was very friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the park and the history here. There's a very nice introductory film showcasing some of the hardships the soldiers faced making camp here. A short walk up the path brings you to the Wicke homestead and the living history tour guide was informative and interesting. A great stop!

Took a hike on a patriot path. Not too many people. Most very respectful about distance & masks. Just watch the rocks & tree roots. Or, you can walk on the road. Skipped the visitor's Center because I've been there many times. Then went to Wick House & garden, which are closed now. Good exercise & for dog people, walking your pet.

Can walk out to see the Wick farmhouse (photo) from the late 1700s and get an idea from a video in the visitor center of what it was like when Washington's troops wintered here: 10,000 people in threadbare clothing, no food for 4-5 days at a time, 24 blizzards, and 4-6 feet of snow. The photo from the farmhouse is upscale quarters compared to the troop's living conditions.

If you are a history buff, if you like the outdoors, or just want to see all that Morris County's got to offer, this is a must see.

There is a 15 minute video in the visitors center. It is very informative. Plus they have a full scale hut that the soldiers lived in

Great place to walk in nature & clean air. Peaceful and not too crowded on a fall Sunday afternoon. Clean trails & area.

Such a nice time to decompress. We were greeted by a park ranger that gave us a quick history lesson on the park and a suggested trail path.

Nice little visitor center with some excellent exhibits. The staffer who I think was a volunteer was very helpful as well. We enjoyed our visit.

Visitors Center was nice & walk to revolutionary home with guide was not far. I loved touring that and the garden. The visitors center has a constructed life size replica of soldiers quarters with an audio explanation.

Very nice education on one of histories least known important parts of the Revolutionary War.
