Wonderful place for a morning walk. This place is not very crowded so you can actually enjoy nature. There are lots of species of birds and small animals here. Always be careful when out here with kids. Fox, and deer are easily spotted here, so keep your dogs on leash all the time. Most people are from nearby neighborhoods who come here regularly.

Speedwell lake park is a very small and serene park in Morristown. It has this fall view and pathway for walking, jogging which goes through sort of jungle ! It has a limited parking space (cars) free of cost. It is more like a community park. If you plan to travel for an hour or so and visit this park, I would suggest you to pause. It is not a picnic place. Maximum you can walk for an hour and return back. But there is no specific picnic place. Just click the picture near this lake and enjoy peace. Haven’t seen any washroom here as well.

We love bringing our baby in the stroller and dog here regularly. It's a nice path for walking and people are generally very friendly. It's nice to see people fishing, walking, running, or even enjoying a picnic. The path is pretty shady and can be very breezy in cooler weather.

Beautiful park to visit all year long. Amazing views! The park includes a damn with water fall and walking trails along the Whippany River. My favorite time to visit is the Fall- the colors are spectacular!! Parking on site. Fishing allowed.

It is a beautiful little park where you can jog, bike, walk, and fish small trout. At the entrance, you will see swings along with the jungle gym. The parking lot is unorganized and unmarked. This park has good potential, but serious investment is needed to make it like state park standard. I found the walking path dirty and benches around the lake dirty and needed some attention. People use this park for a dog routine business. πŸ•

Beautiful park for hiking and for dogs, too. I loved to know the historic trail in it. And you can fishing small trouts there. In the middle of the city. A good playground to kids.

Short but a beautiful walk nestled in the community

A beautiful, easy and calm walk. Great for anyone who practices mindfulness and may appreciate stopping and taking in nature. Great for kids, teens, familes - in fact anyone. You can't loop round but can turn back. I encourage anyone to stop and appreciate the sound and really look at the color and shapes. In a funny way if the path was painted yellow you would think that you were in the wizard of Oz πŸ€£πŸ˜‰

nice paved path. perfect for kids and pets or anyone who just wants to relax and take a stroll. it surrounded by trees and would look amazing in the fall. there is parking at several points for this patriots path but a decent amount of spots at the lake park area.

We were here this morning to see the lovely falling water at the dam but its clearly a hot spot for fisherman. Many here fishing today and saw some trout catches. Great little spots to shore fish.

My first time to visit the park, a historical site, if you want a long walk , you can go more than 2 miles , the park actually is separated by passing through driving roads, partially paved.

Jersey is our home state. While visiting family recently we took our grandkids for a walk there. It was beautiful. Th kids loved the playground and thank goodness for the rest rooms. It was a peaceful place to make great memories

Great little lake part of the Whippany River. The paved path is nice for those with walkers. Stay also stocks trout here several times throughout the year, so if you see the place packed that's why... Oh yeah there's a little jungle gym set near the entrance but I really can't comment on the quality as I have never been there.

I visited this place in the first week of September, this is a decent normal sight seeing place. It has a trail to walk in the midst of the forest. Also there is a small park playground installed.
