Dr. Harp and his team are amazing. We have an elderly cat that was born with so many health issues. She is treated as though she is their only patient. We are carefully guided on her care. The front office staff members are so friendly and professional both in person or on the phone. We get the best care always. We can’t say enough about how much we appreciate this team. Dr. Harp and Amy have helped our baby and carefully explain treatment options. We are so thankful for this wonderful vet group.

This place has been so helpful in dealing with my cat's stubborn urinary problems. They were able to see her within days when several other vets booking weeks, even months out. Dr. Jim and his team are thoughtful, compassionate, and thorough in the work they do. The pricing is very reasonable as well. We will happily leave our old vet behind and start bringing all of our pets to Paso Vet!

I have a 6 pound kitten, very lovable and timid. He would always lay on top of my chest and interact with me and my girlfriend. He was sick one day and I brought him here. It took two “vets” to diagnose him. He is six pounds, they grabbed him like he was a fully grown cat, and shoved his head into their table so he didn’t run, and manhandled him in various other ways that I can’t get into here. They made him so afraid that he won’t come out and lay on us like he used to. After the appointment, the two men said “your cat is just sickly and we can’t do anything about it.” After everything was done, the total came out to $200. $200? For what? My cat won’t even look at me anymore, and you couldn’t even diagnose him. They couldn’t do anything, except tell me he was sick. And my cat hates me now. Thanks a lot.

Living in Paso Robles for 6-7 years now, my family has been with this vet for about 5 of them or so. There have been two incidents with two of my dogs that has made me very angry with this office but today was the tipping point. My dog was in active seizure, violently. He was convulsing, bent completely backward and went limp and lethargic. We called the vet immediately as this was an extreme emergency and they are only 10 minutes away from our house. The receptionist was very monotone and not sympathetic saying that they’ll check with the doctor only to comeback saying yeah we won’t have time to see him, we’re too busy. So we had to rush to Atascadero emergency on a day where traffic is bad and they tell me our dog might have tumors on his pancreas. I can’t believe a vet would tell someone they’re too busy to see a dog that was in active seizure. I used to live in a town slightly smaller than Paso by only a couple thousand and the vet I went to there was half the size and slammed all the time but would always see us if we had an emergency. If any new clients are thinking about going here, be aware. This incident has just lost them our partnership (we own 6 animals) and I won’t trust them with my pets again.

All of the staff are always knowledgeable and helpful. Our last visit we found a 2 week old kitten in the road and they were able to get me in the me next day to make sure he was fine and let me know the steps to take with him!

We have taken our animals to this veterinary for many years. Most recent visit was to euthanize our family dog unfortunately. Our entire family was there and completely devastated to watch our dog go. However it did take the vet several attempts to find a vein to inject our dog to which I asked the vet, “is the needle in”. Apparently this provoked the vet as we are permanently banned due to that specific comment, we were putting our dog down! Very disheartening and disappointing to be treated as such after being so loyal and trusting to this establishment.

The Veterinarians and staff are always friendly and helpful. They take the time to listen to my concerns and talk to me about them and how my dogs are doing. They offer high quality compassionate care but don't break the bank.

Wow, this place has really changed in the last 6 months. Customer service has gone downhill, the staff that answer the phones are flippant and are very clear that you can take it or leave it, no longer open on Saturdays, and have weekdays with no doctors so there is room to accommodate an appt in the next day or two for urgent but not life threatening conditions. This was our favorite veterinarian clinic for years due to their compassion and excellent veterinarian coverage... no longer true 💔

My dog had a tech appointment for vaccinations and nail clip. After taking her weight I was put into the tech waiting room which needs some love. Door looks like it was last painted 20 years ago and ceiling panels need replaced, makes me wonder what the area looks like behind the scenes. Normally I receive a call the next day to see how my dog is which I always thought was the result of a caring practice, not this time. The practice was sold, Dr Jim retired and we have seen Dr Harp . The prices are going up, but so has every business. I suggest keeping the nice things going, phone call next day to make sure animal is ok. Medication in stock with an expiration of more than a few months. Staff was wonderful as always. Hopefully things will not change much because I always have liked taking my Loretta there for her care.

Paso Robles Veterinary has gone above and beyond the standard of care for all my pets, but especially for my dog, Charlie, who is allergic to almost everything and is not always the best behaved dog. Dr. Jim was patient and persistent at getting to the real cause of Charlie's problems. He was also understanding and accommodating to my budget.

We were traveling and both of our dogs became sick. They were busy but made an appointment for us. I was so impressed with the care and customer service we received. The meds Dr Weist prescribed were exactly what our pups needed and they improved right away. He was so concerned about our dogs and we discussed some important things about our dogs care. I really appreciate the kindness we were shown. The cost was very reasonable. I would recommend this veterinary office. I give them five stars.

Dr. Harp is a very caring and professional vet. He took such good care of my 2 mini Dachshunds. As they grew older they had many serious health issues and Dr. Harp did everything he could to take care of them and keep them comfortably living until it was their time to go. He was very caring through the transition as I had to let them both cross. I like this veterinary hospital so much. The staff have been great as well. I will actually miss Dr. Harp and staff. If I ever get another animal I will definately go back to Dr. Harp. Thank You for all you've done for my babies through the years.

I could not recommend this vet more. The people were all incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and solved our problems quickly. She also went and got a 2nd opinion from the other vet, which I really appreciate. What a great person. OK Now the best part. My dog got 4 meds, I was fully expecting to pay $600+ like I would at my old vet. NOT HERE $230 and change! For the first time in forever I feel like I got honest, no upsell vet treatment. If I could give 6 stars I would. Thank you!!

PRVC has been taking care of our fur babies for the past 20+ years since Dr. Loretta Potts owned the clinic. The compassion and professionalism has carried through the new owners. We highly recommend this clinic for your pet care.
